Meet the incredible team of Forrest, incredible chef and owner of Terre Rouge and his front of the house and Sommelier wife Karen. They will take you on a wonderful food and wine journey of French techniques paired with flavours of Asia. I do recommend the tasting menu paired with a wine tasting. The team will tell you the where’s and why’s of each dish. The secret? Hang out on the main floor where all the action is for fun or head upstairs for a low lighting romantic vibe.

Had dinner with my friends on a Sat night. Good services. Cozy environment. I had duck and my friends had mussels and burger. We had truffle pizza and scallop as starters. The lava cake is good too. Highly recommend.

One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The tasting menu is divine. Delicious, fresh flavours mixed with the right blend of textures, complemented with the perfect wine pairings. Top-notch service is the icing on the molten lava cake!

Our server Derek (Derrick?) was one of the most professional and personable servers I've ever had. He and the chef accommodated my party's requests (two of whom wanted the pasta without pasta!). We all thought the food was great. I am not a guy who really cares about "presentation" of my food but even I was impressed with the attention to detail for the plating. The general manager seems to have hired the right people with the right attitudes.

Terre Rouge is a hybrid-French, luxury restaurant that does it right. To begin, when one walks in, they are greeted by friendly, attending staff. The ambience is set immediately with fantastic lighting and decor to set the mood for a fun, exciting dining experience. The service is top-notch and if I were to rate the restaurant alone on service, this would be a perfect review. Friendly, understanding, helpful, and an efficient waiter/waitress attend to your every dining and service need, amplifying the dining experience. The food is on the pricier side, but for the most part is well worth it. My lobster bisque was well made and other dishes that my friends ordered were excellent (had a bite of each). My only qualm is that my burger was overcooked to medium-well or else I would give it a perfect rating. It was still good, but I was hoping for a more medium depth to the burger. Overall, although Terre Rouge falls on the pricier end, I recommend going here for an excellent dining experience. Just don't get the burger.

Fresh and fabulous cool vibes inside. Great variety of options in the menu from pastas to seafood to soups. Portions are just right and satisfying. There is no kids menu but they can make smaller portion pastas for the kids. Desserts are delightful. We’ve been here a few times now and the menu changes from time to time to offer new fresh options. Thursday’s they have $1 oysters. Seafood is always my go to option here. Perfect spot for a date night.

I came for my birthday dinner. The restaurant was great! Love the ambiance of the restaurant and the manager was very attentive to all patrons. I ordered the Baked oysters and lobster squid ink pasta. It was amazing, the pasta is a MUST try. The waiter, she was busy at time which I understood but she often just left and was unattentive but she was nice overall. Would recommend a visit to this restaurant.

Tried the prix fixe menu here to celebrate a birthday and enjoyed the meal overall. The menu is great for prix fixe but otherwise a bit on the pricier side considering the offerings and portions if ordering separately. Service is really great, our server was attentive and very accommodating. Really looked forward to the steak tartare but found it a bit bland with an overpowering flavour of lemon from all the zest. The lobster shrimp cake was definitely better. The lava cake is also a must try, alongside the coconut creme brulee - both were decadent without being overly sweet. One thing to note is that the restaurant is split into two levels, with the upper level sitting mostly above the kitchen. It's not noticable while dining, but we left smelling very much like the grease you get after having korean barbeque, which was unfortunate.

Decor was very modern and stylish. Service was great and friendly. Daily specials are worth goin, especially the $1 oysters in Thursday. Appz were delicious and the fish came out perfectly crisp and seasoned. Spacing was a bit tight and food took a little to long, but still a great addition to Markham downtown.
