Good choices and the staff were very friendly. I enjoyed my meal here, and the food was good. Lots of parking spaces are easy to find it. My favourite was the breakfast special and they had discounted price for it as well. What was your favourite food here?

One of our favorite breakfast spot! Huge portion, meat items are not too salty. Friendly and accommodating staff as well! Had a wonderful brunch time with my pup at the patio too!

First time trying Panagio’s and I was kind of upset they didn’t have smoked salmon on the menu, as that’s my go to. Ended up getting the Fetty Guac eggs benny and it was good! Definitely a big serving and the hollandaise sauce was really nice. Service was welcoming and attentive. I would definitely come back and try something sweet.

Great local breakfast restaurant with generous portions. Friendly staff are always smiling. One of the few places where I'd actually eat all the potatoes too :)

We weren't able to spend long, but were able to message the business in advance to find out what options were available on the hot beverage menu. The coffee crisp cappuccino did not disappoint! Hoping to be back soon. Thank you!

A few assortment of the breakfast menu, but the food quantity, quality and service are abundance. Very reasonable pricing. Seating very comfortable and plenty of parking.

This is a great little breakfast spot. We went around 11:00 am on a Saturday and our group of 3 were seated right away. We knew we wanted to share a few items between the 3 of us, so we opted for 2 main meals and one side order. We got the Greek Omelette 3 Eggs Any Style A side order of French Toast The eggs were pretty good, The Rye Toast we got with the meals was just okkk, and the home fries were well seasoned, but a little dry. The real standout was the French Toast, it was light, fluffy, and had a great cinnamon taste! The fact that the slices were so big for a side order really won me over. In total, it was about $30 for 3 people sharing these dishes, which is honestly a great price for a sit down diner style breakfast. The service and staff were also very friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was very casual and family oriented. Overall, I'd definitely be checking this place out again.

This is a great little breakfast spot. We went around 11:00 am on a Sunday and were seated within 10 minutes. However, there isn’t much of a waiting area while you wait to be seated. I wouldn’t be surprised if people had to wait outside during peak times to be seated. They offer a wide variety of food that ranges from sweet to savoury, such as pancakes to poutines. We got the Chicken Strips & Waffles and Oreo Pancakes. The service and staff were very friendly and efficient. They always came around and made sure your coffee cup was full. The atmosphere was very casual and family oriented. Overall, I’d definitely be checking this place out again, we were impressed with what we ordered. There are many more things on the menu that I’d like to try.

I absolutely loved this dish! I’m a huge fan of cheesy spinach dips and this one hit the spot. (I’m also always on the lookout for such good dips and I think I found one here at Symposium Cafe!) I was impressed with this spinach dip because not only was the dip itself creamy and cheesy with lots of feta and cheddar cheese (gooey and easy to spread), but the toasted pita bread was the right size and soft for my taste. I definitely would order this again on my next visit because it was so good!

I invited a group of 22 people to this restaurant for dinner on July 28th and based on the feedback from everyone, they had a wonderful experience and plans to revisit. The food was tasty and nicely presented, servers were professional and pleasant and we loved both the indoor and outdoor ambience. We were originally on the patio however, due to the drop in temperature, we requested to be moved inside. The manager immediately made arrangements to move us inside and everything flowed flawlessly. Service was excellent...very accommodating and friendly manager. I will definitely go back to this location.

Speciality iced drinks (both fruit and coffee drinks) were tasteless aka watered down and the flatbread tasted like something I could find in the freezer aisle. Also, overpriced for the portion size. Slow service for and empty restaurant as well. Definitely no interest in a return visit.

As an desert addict(traveller) when to symposium cafe for some waffles n ice cream but to my surprise I found hair (cooks special ingredient) inside my waffle living silently so I call the respected waiter n inform him (rude) guy said cannot be possible as all our waiters are bald inside but still it's mystery where hair came from but waiter didn't apologize (as he was rude)so pls visit symposium at your risk where apologizing is crime. Thks

Service
Nothing out of the ordinary for the service, in fact our waiter was quite friendly. Not much to say here.

Food
Where do I even begin? It is so disappointing that a restaurant that looks so nice serves such lackluster food. We went on a Thursday night so the special was $50 for a three-course meal for 2 individuals. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal except the food didn’t meet any of our expectations. For the appetizers my boyfriend got a caesar salad which was pretty average but my cup of soup had too much salt and I was quenched. Moving onto the main dishes, I had some kind of steak paired with potatoes and veggies. Having bok choy as a side is not very impressive and the steak was heavily seasoned to the point where I couldn’t tell if the meat was actually fresh or not. The potatoes were fine. My boyfriend got a seafood pasta but it was quite spicy. The dish itself was fine but the spiciness overpowered the taste of the seafood. We ordered tea later on and was disappointed again that they use Tetley’s….I thought only diners use that brand. I was clearly expecting a little more. I had high hopes for the dessert and chose the carrot cake. It wasn’t bad, it was moist, but the flavour was forgettable.

Went for lunch, they have all day breakfast. Service is fast and friendly. Had the cubano sandwich. The bread was the highlight, crispy out side, fluffy inside. It contains egg, mustard, veggies, and pulled pork, goes well together. RM

The service was horrible. Can on our anniversary and the place was empty. We waited way too long for food and then they came out with our dinners at different times and the child's meal at the end. The waiters sit around gabbing and are not trained well. The food was overpriced and I would have preferred to have gone to Joeys! Way over-hyped with crappy results!

Markham Symposium Cafe.. Took my family party of 15 to this restaurant on my wife's birthday... then the manager/owner told me that I'm not allow to bring my own wine which I'm ok and then he said he won't allow to serve the birthday cake we brought with us... unless we pay $2 for each person... Until I stand up and leave then the manager/owner said stay and will waive the charge...

The hostess brought us water and spill it on our table... instead of cleaning it up right the way, she find it funny and started laughing... the manager was standing there for the whole time and didn't offer help until we asked him to help... this is not the kind of service that our group was expecting from this kind of restaurant.

Food was not great... just average... over priced for the quality of food.

After our meal, the hostess basically just brought our cake and never ask our group if we want desert, coffee or tea... very disappointing service... will never go back.

Good food and service. Mind you we went for breakfast on a Monday morning when everyone else is at work. Prices are good and food is good as well.

Service so slow. Need I say more. Waited 5 minutes to get seated despite having empty tables, the staff kept running into the kitchen and never reappeared, waited about 10 minutes to have someone take the order, the place was not busy. Have been waiting for more than ten minutes to pay. It seems there more concerned about folding napkins then they are about the guest. Had to stand up to try to get any ones attention. still waiting.......................................

Worst Service Ever... never feel so offended and bad before!. Terrible Terrible Serivce, never been so disappointed before. Server nowhere to be found always need to ask someone else to find my server. A group of 4 went for lunch and order four main plates plus 2 cakes that are on promo on Sunday. At the end we cannot finisher half of the second cake left over and asked the server for take out box. She mentioned that it is the company policy no takeout on promo item. I explain to her that I do not know about this policy ahead of time, it was not printed anywhere and she did not verbally tell us before we order. I just don't want to waste food resources, and she was like "You can finish it now". Literally telling you to finish it or the food will just be thrown away. We mentioned that we are really stuffed it's just not right. If you tell me ahead of time I can decide to order or not. The manager, Sandra, came to talk with us. In a normal situation, the manager should apologize and offer solutions. However, Sandra was very defensive, challenged us with their company policy and said the same thing as the server did. She doesn't let the customer finish saying what they want to say and just want to explain on her end first. Worst customer service ever no smile on her face at all. She was like "Miss, Do not yell at me now and raise up your voice, this is our company policy if you want to complain you can fill out the comment form" I understand that you have a policy or whatever, but at least you should let customer know up front that there is such policy before they order as this is not a buffer restaurant or all you can eat. People would normally expect that you can take home the left over. I even offer to pay for the take out box if that cost them more, but still NO. This lunch really ruined the whole weekend mood. Truly will not recomment anyone to go here. I have been to other Symposium restaurant with great service. This particular one at Kennedy and Major Mac really have poor customer service training. This is not how a customer should be treated.... extremely disappointed. No apologize at all and just extremely defensive for themselves.

Worst breakfast ever. - my son's sunny side eggs were undercooked/ almost raw
- my bacon cheddar omelet was so overcooked. It was very dry and tasteless, almost petrified
- my replacement omelet was not made a priority and it came only after everyone else was finished eating
- it was a long wait for breakfast food.
-It was very poor management/customer service that after the whole negative experience, we were compensated with 25% off of one meal which ended up being about $2 off the bill. We had to ask for compensation. It was not offered.
- this restaurant also likes to nickel and dime everyone with reg coffee vs breakfast coffee, kids menu comes with practically every drink but orange juice
- there was a large group in the restaurant but this is no excuse. If you are going to charge $10 for an omelet, it should be worth the money.
- at first we thought we would come back and try dinner but after this experience, we are not coming back. It’s obvious that management does not care about good customer service or quality food.

...didn't know it was a huge chain. It had been a time long ago (before I was really into food) that I went there for dessert so I was excited to try out their savoury plates...For drinks, they had $4 a Bloody Caesar special so I definitely had to order one of those. It was pretty nice with little garnishes, I was very impressed ... I wasn't really feeling any of the breakfast specials and decided to order a Chicken Parmesan Sandwich , one of their "Symposium Signature Dishes". Our waiter was quite friendly and helpful, he seemed a little busy with the other tables also but was still attentive to us when we needed something.
