Delicious!. We had come here on New Year’s Eve at around 7:00 pm, which happened to be a Wednesday evening. When we arrived, there were a few people at the front ahead of us therefore, we had to wait a few moments to be served. When the lady at the front greeted us once it was our turn, she asked how many people would be dining for the evening; we responded with three. The lady then left for a few moments in order to find a table suitable for our party. She came back immediately, then told us that we could choose any of the tables in the far-back right-hand corner. We went to the back and found a booth which was empty. We then settled into the booth, and headed for the buffet tables as we were starving by that point.
We noticed that there were three different buffet tables, with each table filled with a variety of items, which included vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. For my first dish, I started with the Shahi Paneer, mixed in with Chicken Biryani. The Shahi Paneer had a wonderful taste, with delicious sauce intermixed with the chicken. The Chicken Biryani was also delicious, with flavourful rice mixed with large pieces of seasoned chicken. I sprinkled the sauce from the Shahi Paneer on the rice from the Chicken Biryani, which made the rice taste even juicer. I also chose a Samosa, which was crunchy and hot (temperature wise) however, not spicy hot, which made it much more edible.
When I sat back down at the booth after grabbing my first plate, one of the servers (there were a few whom served our table however, none of them introduced themselves) handed us a basket of Naan Bread. We then had to wait another ten minutes before we were able to find someone else to take our beverage order. It may be beneficial to have complimentary water placed on the table as soon as the customers take their seats as we were quite thirsty looking for someone as we were eating. Nevertheless, we dove right into our meals, which were as scrumptious as ever.
Everything was cooked fresh, with the temperature just perfect, and the spices mild, which is what we liked. For my second dish, I settled on the Chaat Papri, with all of the fixings. I loved that the chips for the Chaat Papri were loose, which allowed for me to take as many as I wanted, and to drizzle any kind of sauce over them. I also grabbed some French Fries, which were hot and fresh, tasting as though they had just come out of the deep fryer. The yogurt for the Chaat Papri was cool to the touch, and creamy, which made the chips taste even better.
For my third dish, I settled on the Plain White Rice with Butter Chicken. Once again, the sauces from the Butter Chicken mixed well with the Plain White Rice, making both items taste just as I desired them to taste, with little spice. We enjoyed how our Naan Bread baskets were filled up often by the servers whom came by. We thought that the service here was pretty good, and definitely attentive in regards to the Naan Bread compared to other restaurants.
For dessert, I was beyond stuffed however, I wanted to taste the Gulab Jamun, which is one item that I can’t walk away from when dining at an Indian restaurant. The Gulab Jamun was as expected; sweet, with just the perfect amount of texture which fit perfectly into my mouth. I also noticed that there about six flavours of ice cream available, with other desserts available to purchase by the pound. I was tempted to try the ice cream however, I knew that there was only so much food I could handle, and that I had reached my limit.
When we were finished, we had asked one of our servers for the bill. We were told that we had to go up to the front to pay for the bill. When we arrived at the front, we were told that it would be $56 for the three of us, which was $15.99 per person. We were astonished at how good of a price that buffet cost us, definitely something that is hard to find elsewhere. We paid for our bill, then were wished a happy new year by the kind woman at the front.
Of all the Indian buffet restaurants that I had been to, this one was definitely the best, complete with the perfect amount of food, all tasting delicious, along with good service, and an atmosphere complete with comfort. Will DEFINITELY be back to this location, or would like to give the location in Brampton a try to see if there is any difference between the two.
