Spectacular dinner with a beautiful sunset view. Exquisite food made from very local ingredients (like locally caught mussels, salmons and halibut), some of which the chef picked himself (like wild mint) and wonderful service. Very memorable. So glad we did it. Highly recommended.
My son and daughter in law held their wedding dinner at Woodrow. It was exceptional. Food, scenery, staff and overall experience was world class.

We had the privilege of hosting our wedding reception at Woodroad. The food was delicious (the lobster sauce - wow!), the hospitality was familial, and the views were incredible - especially the sunset. We are very grateful to Daryl and his team for accommodating us and giving us an evening that we'll happily cherish in our memories. Woodroad is genuinely a must-visit for anyone visiting Cape Breton. It's only a matter of time before we come back for dinner or brunch!

Had the pleasure of dining at Woodroad yesterday evening and what a gem it is! A set menu with 7 courses, this brand new Cape Breton restaurant is bring fine dining to the area in a big way. Our server Erin was a dream, and the chefs brought out each course with a description of the meal and you could feel the time and thought they put into their dishes. The September menu was largely seafood focused, and I believe it changes monthly, with a focus and dedication to fresh and local ingredients.
I will definitely make a point to dine at Woodroad every time I’m home in Cape Breton.
The only thing to match the stunning view that even locals will be floored by, is the food.
Daryl has comprised a fine dining experience long overdue in Cape Breton where the quality of the dishes matches the beauty of the surroundings.
The open kitchen style dining allows the Chief to guide you through your meal and highlights the local foraged ingredients.
I am excited to see how it grows and can not wait to return time and time again!
