My wife and I visited for lunch. She had a Coney Island Hot Dog with fries and I had a bacon cheeseburger. Both were wonderful The fries were very good. Service was polite and professional. The coffee was always topped up and we were happy when we left. They offer ATM attached to the Petro Canada and the restaurant itself can deal with credit and debit cards. I plan to return to try out pizza and perhaps their Chinese menu. Yes! This is run by a wonderful Chinese family!
Pleasantly surprised!. I've lived in Anola for 12 years and just tried the Lake Trail for the first time because my husband and I could not decide what to make for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised! We ordered egg rolls, Kung po chicken ( they have two kinds. They asked if I wanted the one with 'more meat' so I said yes), ginger beef, honey garlic chicken balls and mixed vegetables. It was all very tasty. The egg rolls and chicken balls were nice and crispy and the vegetables had slivers of garlic in them and we're still a bit crunchy, which is good:). The dishes were a bit more heavily sauced than I'm used to, but I would order again. I'm sorry I waited so long to try it!
Worth the wait!. Had family suggest take-out from here when at their place and admit I was sceptical (city gal and all)! First, I LOVED the egg rolls! Not stuffed with bean sprouts (?) like most places. Had the honey garlic chicken balls (YUMMY sauce) as well as sweet and sour chicken balls. I love that the sauce is served seperate for those who like less/more. I have had better breaded veal, yet I have also had much, much worse. Chow mein and chicken fried rice were on par with every other place I know of. Although it was an hour wait (influx of calls at same time), they were very happy to call us 15 mins before order was ready (great when having to drive a bit to pick-up). Overall, I was impressed!
