Looking for a restaurant to dine at during the Christmas by the Sea Market we found ourselves booking the last table at Rime. We couldn't have been more lucky to find such an amazing restaurant on such short notice. Starting with the calamari, it some of the best we have ever had. The rest of our meal continued to be above and beyond our expectations and we couldn't have been more satisfied. The owner is one the most genuine, nice and knowledgeable people we have ever met in the industry and he has inspired us to make the trip down to Lunenburg again just for this restaurant.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. The setting was lovely and the service was swift. But there were few menu options and the halibut choice involved sauces. We asked for it simply to be sautéed in butter and lemon. It was just fine, but a rather small portion for CAD $40.

I'm a big fan of the atmosphere at Rime, which is a perfect location for a semi-quiet evening over great food and wine. Often overlooked though, is it's dessert menu, which changes fairly often. The variety of the desserts, both in taste and price, make it a great evening stop for a glass and a treat. Top it off with knowledgeable staff and you are guaranteed to have a positive experience.
