Cute little place on Wharncliffe. Super nice lady working. Food was good and hot. Jerk chicken is a bit more sweet than spicy, meat fell off the bone. Served with some rice. Not all items found on website are available in store. 4 rating is for more of the overall experience.

This is is a tiny restaurant that is mainly geared to take out. Located on the corner of Wharncliffe Road and Kensington Avenue this place is owned by a Jamaican lady who also has an outlet in Woodstock. The menus is decidedly Jamaican with many jerk and curried dishes. We have travelled and done business in the Caribbean and are pretty particular about the native dishes. The many positive reviews of this place spurred us to try some take away here.
I had the spicy Jerk Chicken and my partner had the mild Chicken Curry Roti. We also ordered the Festival, which was an after dinner doughnut like offering.
The jerk chicken was served on a bed of brown rice with 3 generous pieces bathed in a not too spicy jerk sauce. The meat literally fell off the bone and was well cooked and extremely tasty.
The Roti did not look like it was enough for a meal as it was in a smaller styrofoam container. That is until you pick up the box and realize it is very heavy. Needless to say the Roti was excellent.
This is pretty close to authentic Caribbean and we would definitely return.

Went to their new outlet on Huron Street which was the previous home of the Chinese Barbecue - even had some inherited Chinese decor which leads me to believe this was a short sublet. Engaged with the owner who indicated that they had a decision to make soon on keeping this large space and judging on the sparse crowd don't know that this outlet will survive. Owner and cook were very engaging and sincere making us want to be positive in my review.
Started out with 4 mini patties and delicious dipping sauce
Partner had the Curried chicken and I had the jerk pork for main course. Her meal was good but had too many small pieces of bone throughout which took away from the meal. Mine was tasty but also included several large pieces of untrimmed fat.
Not sure they will have the patience to continue at the Huron Street location. The meals we had here were just average and not enough to draw us back soon.
This place is a true hidden gem for all Caribbean food lovers! My only regret is that I didn't discover Rose's earlier. You have to try the jerk chicken from this place, it's actually spicy and perfectly juicy. I highly recommend the dumplings which are made fresh to order (like hush puppies but better) and the oxtail stew. The delivery was very prompt and I don't even mind the $6 fee, that's how good the food is. And it's true what the other reviewers said about the service, the woman who helped me over the phone was so generous and very kind! I have a new go-to spot for Jamaican in London and I'm pretty sure my wallet is going to hate me for it!
True Jamaican. After searching for quite a long time for some authentic Jamaican food I finally found this little gem. The ladies that work there are very friendly and treat you like family. The food is fantastic! I've spent some time in Jamaica, so I can verify the food's authenticity. Now, my hubby and I make it a point to go out of our way to eat here pretty much every time we are in the city.
Great food, but order ahead!. I thought this would be like one of several Caribbean restaurants I've eaten at before in Toronto or Ottawa so I just went in to get some food without calling ahead. However, the food is made fresh to order so you need to call ahead to place your order first. The wait was worth it though. We had veggie rotis and they were really delicious.
Eat here you'll be glad you did. I'm a sucker for jerk chicken and this place delivers the best I've had in the city. I never knew chicken could be so tender, it falls right off the bone. Love this place I will be returning. My only complaint is that they accept cash only despite there being no sign indicating this and VISA/mastercard stickers on the door and cash registers.
Unequivocally the best patty I've ever ate. What really stands out is the filling has better flavour and texture than any patty I've ever had. Combine that with the perfect ratio of outside crust to filling and that's what makes this patty so incredible. Also the atmosphere was nice and the staff were chill and kind. 10/10 had a patty better than I thought was possible.
First time trying this place for lunch and wow, the jamaican patties here are phenomenal. Considering the pretty decent size and quality, they were fairly priced too, 6 for $25, that's almost the same as two whoppers at Burger King so do the math. The spicy patties are awesome, not too overbearing on the heat but just enough to be part of the flavour, so whether you love spicy food or not I recommend giving those a shot. If these patties are a precursor for quality of the rest of the dishes here then I will definitely be coming back to try what else they have to offer. Big thumbs up!
I love veggie roti and this was good. Lots (but not too much) cumin curry taste. Great mix of veggies (without a bunch of filler onions). Super soft and perfectly flaky roti. 100% the best roti I've had in a long while. Thank you!
My husband lived in Guyana as a teenager but hasn't been back in over 20 years. Everywhere we go, he buys a veggie roti, trying to find that taste of childhood and Rose's roti literally made him tear up :') He says his heart feels as full as his belly! You can't get higher praise than that! Warm staff and great atmosphere, too. So goooood! What a wonderful thing food can be! Can't wait til we're back in London! *****/*****
Had amazing fall off the bone Jerk chicken here last week and wow!! This small family run business knows how to make authentic Jerk chicken! With a side of the best cabbage curry slaw.

Rose and her restaurant is a classic establishment in this area. I have been getting delivery during covid and had a chance to finally go in for takeout.
The spicy Patties are very delicious and definitely the highlight. Jerk Chicken was a bit disappointing in portion size and taste, I was expecting more chicken and less rice. The wait time is also a bit but it’s usually her working alone. It’s a difficult time financially for small businesses so please go and support them, rather than fast food.
I found this place when my son was at Karate, so far we just had the oxtail and it’s so delicious! Full of flavour, great portions and excellent pricing. Sorry no photo we were so hungry it was devoured lol I do have a photo of the curry chicken (on left) and goat. I got excited when I found their restaurant so I ordered some extra things. They we’re so friendly here also:) lots of parking right behind Sherwood plaza.
I’ve always wanted to try this place out and finally all stars lined up! Rose is amazing and helped us picked from the menu, I had the ox tail and my daughter had the brown stew, absolutely delicious! This is a gem in north London, full of favour! This place is a must try if you like amazing food!
Had recently some onion rings and chicken roti from Uber eats
