My Wife and I had never been to Mandarin and wanted to have a great first time. The food was excellent, the establishment was clean and customer service was top notch. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and our host Peter was great at his job he truly gave us top tier service. Another thing that we were impressed by was the fact the owner of the restaurant David was there on the floor helping the other customer reps...that was impressive he made sure came over and made sure that we were well taken cared off....An absolute must again...!!!!!

High Park. First time at this location. Great experience. So far, the best of all the Mandarin Restaurants I've been. Starting from the way they treat me over the phone when I made the reservation (walks in are always welcome too), the way the greet you and the seating. Our waiter Souvik Suman was amazing, super attentive and polite and always looking after every little details, making sure that we were happy customers, at all times. First restaurant, we're the manager, introduced himself and offered his services, just in case we needed them. The food was FRESH & DELICIOUS. The whole food area was super clean and set up, perfectly. The atmosphere was beautiful with nice music. The entire restaurant was very organized, you could tell that there was an excellent team leader, that delivered an amazing team, the team work was shown. Thank you so much !!!

I love this mandarin. It has great service and food. I’m able to enjoy eating here as someone with a gluten allergy. We had a lovely time with Peter as our server today. I will come back again.

Tonight, I went to the Mandarin Restaurant at Hyde Park. And I luckily got to enjoy the last day of their Moon Festival event. It was a buffet, so I tried a little bit of everything. This included Shanghai noodles, roast beef with gravy, lots of sushi, ginger beef, plain soft noodles, General Tao chicken, lemon chicken, and clams. The two standouts of these were the sushi and roast beef. The sushi was made minutes before; and the roast beef tasted quite savoury, made even better by the gravy. I gorged an a variety of sweets, including mini crème brûlées, a honey twist, a chocolate drizzled Rice Krispy Square, chocolate chip cookies, almond cookies, a sugar puff, and banana fudge ice cream. All were good except the Rice Krispy Square. It tasted and looked like the ones you buy at a grocery store. The highlight of desserts were the chocolate chip cookies. These were warm and buttery, but had the right amount of crunch. Now, on to the atmosphere. When I walked inside, I immediately noticed the lush green plants and the pond with live fish. It is a clean and tidy environment. I sat down at my table at roughly 6:00 p.m., and it was very crowded. Mandarin is known for getting busy, so if you’re overwhelmed by large crowds or claustrophobic, this may not be the place for you. But the staff work incredibly hard and clean your table while you’re filling up your next plate. They also offer you warm, moist towels to clean your face and hands. The servers will gather everyone’s attention to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. My bill came to $50, which is understandable given that you can eat until your heart is content. There is a reason that Mandarin Restaurants are so popular. It’s important to them that they keep a flawless reputation, and they do just that.

An ideal place for a Chinese/western/seafood buffet with a great variety of options. Both adults and children will enjoy the experience. Lots of delicious dishes/ snacks/ desserts are available for a reasonable fee per person. Only drinks are charged extra based on your preference.

One of the all-you-can-eat / buffet restaurants that everyone must try. Tasty food for all tastes. I’m vegetarian and there are a lot of options for me. I love desserts here, yummy 😋. The staffs are so polite, helpful and nice, service is perfect!
