This place is seriously a little Taste of Heaven. I had the privilege of both working here for years and being a customer. Its an amazing environment. You are greeted at the door , the employees treat you like your their best friends, and Eileen the owner is amazing. The food is good home cooked food. It is worth every Penny you spend and more. I highly recommend going in and having one of their sandwich's, the pasta salad is out of this world and the baking is fresh and delicious . If you have not tried this place out yet go NOW you wont regret it !
This is the first time I've been into The Penny in a couple years. I forgot how yummy and homey the food is here! Warm cozy atmosphere, delicious food, friendly staff and beautiful art! ��

The Penny has always had high quality baked goods, lunch menu items, & of course coffee house beverages. There are other quality coffee houses in Lethbridge but this one is easily my favourite.
My first time visiting was amazing! I met with a group of friends, brought my kids with me, and had a great bite to eat and a couple really yummy drinks. I decided to bring my hubby and kids there so that my hubby could check it out. Well, the cashier/server very obviously had something else on her mind. She failed to inform us that coffee was self serve, so I sat there waiting for my coffee while my kids and hubby had their drinks. My hubby asked for a pastry but didn't get it. We were not offered an itemized receipt, so we were completely unaware that it wasn't rung up. He ended up buying it after the fact. The food and drinks were great. And I feel like the service is typically better. Maybe we just caught her on a bad day and she was sidetracked. I'll give it another shot because they have a lot of vegan options which I really appreciate, and they're local. If I could make a suggestion, offer an itemized receipt.
Hot beverages were very nice. We had the breakfast quesadillas.
Stopped in for lunch on the patio outside. Pastries were delicious. The BLT sandwich was very good, and the iced lattes are excellent. Would definitely return!
The vegan baked goods here are usually fresh and delicious tasting but the turnover I got the other day was not fresh tasting at all. I went at 9 am so it should be fresher than 5 pm.
The best Café in all of lethbridge! Delicious well priced food with good portions. The drinks are amazing as well. The atmosphere inside is very calming and they always play the best music. Would 100% recommend to everyone I know!
Always a great spot to grab a good bite to eat or a coffee/tea for your busy work day. We sat down and had a delicious snack and tea before we had to head out but the atmosphere was great the music was on point and the neat features throughout. All the artwork on the walls is for sale which is ever cool. I love places that sell stuff in there stores because then their decor is always changing which keeps It very trendy. Thanks team.
