Wife ordered a single sandwich. Bottom side of bread was on the smaller side and parts of the sandwich were tough. I had the jumbo sandwich (medium fat) that was tender although not tasty. Same with my wife’s lean sandwich.
We shared a fry, which lacked everything. Better fries in my air fryer at home.
No service either. We gave the order at the cash, paid, and waited at the table until they called us to pick up our trays at the counter.
George’s use to be good, but highly disappointed this time.
Won’t be back.

I have been going to George's for close to 20 years and I find their smoked meat to be the best in the Montreal area. I always take the medium which is the perfect balance of lean and sin. Also, they use a similar recipe to smoke ducks and chicken and both are a treat. It seems to be a family business since i have been seeing the same familiar faces for two decades and I really hope they tough out for another 100 years. If you like smoked meat, pickles and cherry cola, or just smoked meat do yourself a favor and try it out.

In Montréal (and its surrounding areas) the bar for a smoked meat sandwich is very high. With a juicy, tender sandwhich of generous portions George's doesn't only not dissapoint - it is deserving of its place in the conversation of top stops.

Ordered the 4 regular sandwich, took the medium one. Dry and tasteless. Fried are white like snow. My fries in the oven had better color. First time and last time. Will stick to my regular place for smoke meat.

I had a corner piece and it was amazing. Great flavor!

When I walked in on a Saturday at dinner time and the resto was empty except for some friends of the cook, I should have known better. The meat had a weird oily texture with no flavor. It tasted like it was boiled. I tried 3 bites and couldn't finish. I think the cook could see my displeasure so he kept his back to me while he chatted with his friends. He wasn't curious as to why I left all my food. Unfortunately my partner ate his sandwich and is paying the price this morning. Really bad food and unprofessional behavior from the staff. Don't eat here.

Amazing smoked meat, especially if you don't want to go downtown for Schwartz. Been there 2 timeas already and it's delicious and makes you full. Just go there if you need to eat smoked meat.

Montreal is famous for smoked meat, but George's is the best in taste, quality and service. I recommend it to start with the best taste of smoked meat in all of North America
