I have been going to George's for close to 20 years and I find their smoked meat to be the best in the Montreal area. I always take the medium which is the perfect balance of lean and sin. Also, they use a similar recipe to smoke ducks and chicken and both are a treat. It seems to be a family business since i have been seeing the same familiar faces for two decades and I really hope they tough out for another 100 years. If you like smoked meat, pickles and cherry cola, or just smoked meat do yourself a favor and try it out.

Best Quests

In Montréal (and its surrounding areas) the bar for a smoked meat sandwich is very high. With a juicy, tender sandwhich of generous portions George's doesn't only not dissapoint - it is deserving of its place in the conversation of top stops.

Excellent Montreal style smoked meat and one of the few places that sell unsliced pieces. I had a corner piece and it was amazing. Great flavor!

Amazing smoked meat, especially if you don't want to go downtown for Schwartz. Been there 2 timeas already and it's delicious and makes you full. Just go there if you need to eat smoked meat.
