Review Restaurant Soya - Laval

The food was okay, missing a bit more flavour. The price seemed expensive at first but the bill came under 100$ so that’s a good sign 😅 the food did come late but no complain since they only had one waiter. The waiter was exceptional. Doing everything by himself and remembering everything and working fast! I would have easily tipped him 100$ if I had the money. Without him, i would have took one star.

Prices seem steep at first glance. When you finally get your place you understand that your getting your money's worth. The plates are very generous, everything I tasted was good. I ordered the General Tao, as I always do and was delighted. My wife ordered some kind of nest. It was a little salty. My friend ordered the duck and he really enjoyed it. The plate arrived steaming hot. The decor is nice, but you really feel like you're in a strip mall resto. Otherwise we really enjoyed our experience.

Definitely very good Thai food but it's not the best I've ever eaten. It's affordable, BYOW and the portions are very generous. Service was a 10/10. I recommend that you save room for dessert because they were simply delicious! (get the Xango cake or fried bananas)

OMG! OMG! This is the best teriyaki tofu dish I've ever had. I went there yesterday for the first time. From out side, my first impression was "where the heck is my friend taking me" but once inside, it was a jaw-dropping experience. The staff, the decor, the Zen ambiance, it was just beautiful. I will definitely make this one of my favorite places to eat.

1st time dining in at Restaurant Soya. The restaurant is well kept. Great selection for Asian dishes, dinning experience and ambiance.☆☆☆ Wonderful presentation of each meal. Tried their General Tao. It's the determining factor if I wished to return. Well it is 'one of' the best I've tried.☆ I'll be sure to return. The customer service was excellent.☆

Great Asian fare at a fair price and byow is a definite plus! Portions are insane. Try their general Tao ying yang.

Had teriyaki surf and turf today. Was only average. Not much taste. But usually a good place. Still give 4 star for total experience.

Two Thumbs Up!!. Soya is my favourite restaurant for the past few years. I am very picky about quality and freshness and soya meets those needs. I have food intolerances and never got sick from soya, but from other restaurants. They make gluten free sauces not only for me, but many other customers. They have many delicious plates to choose from and when they come out , not only is the presentation beautiful, but they smell amazing too. They keep up with today's demands. I love to go with my husband and enjoy my Saturday night diners, because I am my mothers care giver and she has Alzheimer's, which makes my week very stressful. Even the setting at soya is so relaxing. The staff is so pleasant to talk to. They have amazing cooks. They fit in the same category as high end cuisine, at much more affordable prices and bring your own wine. What more pleasure would you want in life. The owner goes out of his way to please you. <br/><br/>If you would be in a rush, they could accommodate you, only you would have to respect their sittings (they have two of them) , which many restaurants have on weekends to accommodate their clientele. I like to go to the second sitting for around 8pm. I find it more relaxing and can enjoy my dinner. Some people like to eat fast, and some like to make an evening out of it, so it's all up to you which sitting you prefer to go to.<br/><br/>I highly recommend soya and it would be worth the trip to try it. You will go back!

Excellent resto. Nous allons à ce resto chaque semaine et la bouffe est excellente et les portions sont généreuses. Beaucoup mieux que la plupart des autres restaurants asiatiques. Décor exotique, serveurs sympathiques et en bonus, les hotesses ont de très belles fesses dans leurs collants noir.<br/>Fortement recommandé.

Worst place ever. If you want to ruin your evening go to this place.<br/><br/>Service is bad and the food will give you nightmares. Plus you don't get what you really deserve. Cheap

Not worth it. The food was okay, but a little bland. The problem is the price. The quality of the food doesn't match the price. The price of the food doesn't match the service you receive as well. You would expect a certain level of service and professionalism from a restaurant that charges this much. For example, we were two people but we received our food about 5 minutes apart. The waiter was also cold. Also once we finished our dish literally 20 seconds later they took away our plates and asked us if we wanted anything else. The food didn't even get to my stomach yet so how can I know if I want more? So we said no, and literally 2 min later we got the bill placed on our table. We were definitely being pressured to pay so they can take the table, even though we were only there for about 50 minutes. This was a Saturday night and the place was definitely busy, but busy with a lot of groups. There was about 20 people waiting to get in when we left.

Soya pas de meilleur resto. du genre à Laval. Mon conjoint et moi sommes des adeptes de restaurants. Nous avons quand même quelque resto. à notre actif que nous fréquentons régulièrement. Honnêtement, le resto. Soya se classe numéro 1 dans notre liste. Le décor est très sympathique, l’ambiance est excellente et que dire de la nourriture qui y est servis....simplement excellente. Pour avoir fait le tour du menu proposé, nous n’avons jamais été déçu. Mon coup de cœur est le bœuf basilic...amateur de bœuf, un must ! Mon conjoint quand à lui adore les Dragons eyes ainsi que le combo 3 saisons. Une visite s'impose!

Terrible. Je ne sais pas pourquoi ce restaurant a autant de bons commentaires, il est horrible...oui le decor est beau mais un resto on y va pour la bouffe. Service pourri par des serveurs qui detestent clairement leur job, nourriture atroce! Tellement salee. En plus il ny a absolument rien dasiatique dans leur menu outre la sauce teriyaki et le tempura. Pad thai na rien a voir avec du pad thai, poulet general tao on commentera meme pas la dessus... Horrible, nallez pas la. Gaspillage d'argent. Ces vraiment une insulte culturelle pour eux davoir laudace de sappeller un restaurant asiatique

Good SErvice, Good Food. We enjoyed dining here. For intimate dinner, I'd recommend this place 100%. Heard they were adding a Korean menu and we're looking forward to try it out.

Restaurant Soya is Awesome. My comments on restaurant Soya in laval <br/><br/>My husband and I, have been going to Soya restaurant, a little over two years. We love the food. The choice and quality are fantastic. I myself, cannot eat gluten (bread, wheat products and sauces). Gluten is found in almost anything, now at days. When I mentioned it to the staff, they replied, that they are used to people who have allergies and took extra care, in preparing my dish. They have an amazing lamb dish with a mango salad. Since then, we go every Saturday night and eat there and since I was diagnosed with this problem, and I have been eating at Soya, I never got sick again. I am very careful about where I eat. I have been to high end restaurants and Soya meets the same standards for their quality and freshness. This is one restaurant, which takes pride in the quality of their food and you can bring your own wine. What more would you want? It fits the majority of budgets and they have amazing staff, that are very pleasant, to meet your needs. The decor is beautiful and the lighting is great. Very relaxing to be with, family and friends or just couples. They have their regulars, including us every week. If planning a christmas party, or anything else, I would highly recommend Soya restaurant . I give them five stars. <br/><br/>Jacqueline

Délice. Mon conjoint et moi nous rendons au moins une fois toutes les 2 semaines chez Soya. La nourriture y est toujours délicieuse et la cuisson des viandes, poissons et légumes est à point. Tous les plats que nous avons essayé nous ont enchantés et nous n'avons jamais été déçu. De plus, le fait que nous puissions apporter notre vin fait en sorte que ça demeure un excellent repas à un prix raisonnable. Nous y avons également déjà invité des amis, qui continuent d'y retourner :) <br/>Le personnel est sympathique et attentif à vos demandes. <br/>Bref, une expérience culinaire à répéter encore et encore.....

Salmon teriyaki smelled and tasted very fishy and was far from good. Beef grillade was undercooked and beef quality wasn't exceptional. Pad Thai was far from excellwnt. Overall, I was disappointed by this restaurant. I will not go back since much better restaurants exist in the area...only positive point is that it's a byow.

A découvrir. J'ai visité le restaurant Soya samedi dernier avec ma copine et nous avons été enchantés par l'expérience. La nourriture est excellente; particulièrement le carré d'agneau qui est un plat signature de l'endroit. La poitrine de canard teriaki que j'ai mangée était aussi succulente. Le service est excellent et le décor agrémente bien l'ambiance. Apportez votre vin et vous passerez une très belle soirée à un prix abordable. Je recommande fortement cet endroit!

Soya est une place magnifique à visiter, très beau décor et ambiance. Le service est impecable, par contre j'ai été très décu par le gestionnement du gérant qui s'est porté plainte au serveur pour avoir pris un petit verre de vin à l'amicale.

WOW. Vraiment un des meilleurs restaurant de Laval qualité prix. l'embiance est vraiment unique, le service est super mais c'est surtout pour les plats exquis que nous y retournons!<br/><br/>À découvrir et redécouvrir.

Good but fast. I went there for supper with my best friend, hoping to chat while we ate, but the service was so fast that we didn't have time to finish our conversation! The food was good, as was the presentation and despite being too fast, the staff was very nice.

8/10. Everytime we come back here <br/>it is never a disappointment.<br/>good food nice place Great staff and friendly.
