Bacchus Bistro

Excellent!!. We visited for lunch on a November weekend. The atmosphere was airy & bright. The host offered us a friendly greeting and the wait staff were there when we needed them but not overly attentive. My wife's steelhead was cooked to perfection and her pulled pork pate was marvelous and was a very generous portion. My Waldorf salad was delicious, my scallops and chorizo sausage were excellent and the meringue dessert was yummy. And the pairing of wine with my salad and another wine with my entree was not only excellent but at $14 for two 5-ounce glasses was an excellent bargain. We will definitely be back!

A true gem in the Fraser Valley. We went to Bacchus for the first time last night after a couple of recommendations and not only it is a beautiful location -even at night- but the food and the service were excellent from start to finish.
I ordered a tomato and brie tart which was served on a bed of fresh greens dressed impeccably. The tart was a pastry that melted in my mouth and the brie was creamy and delicious.
Both of us couldn't resist ordering the duck leg confit served over a perfect cranberry sauce and a type of green beans that were very flavourful. The duck leg turned out to be two legs which makes for a generous portion of a dish that was cooked perfectly. Seasoned, tasty and again, melting in my mouth. To top it off, a complimentary side of scalloped potatoes that were made perfect by the copious amounts of butter... This meal is not for the faint of heart or the health conscious, but hey, I'm neither, so I enjoyed it.
Just when I thought that I couldn't find more "deliciousness", I decided to order dessert because I had seen the menu and I was looking forward to it... I got the -again very generous portion- of Tarte Tatin, an absolutely amazing apple tarte that crowned this meal in an extraordinary way. Took me right back to Paris with its accompaniment of vanilla ice cream and a good coffee.
The service was great, good timing between plates, friendly, checking on us often enough but without interrupting a conversation.
Excellent place, a true hidden gem in the Fraser Valley.

Portions are generous for French menu. Lovely atmosphere and very good local wines.
