Dope. Great service and fantastic tasting food. I enjoyed the atmosphere and learned to speak some Japanese. Looking for a good time, hit up Sushi Langford.
Best sushi I've had in a long time, we stumbled into this place after googling sushi in the westshore, we were tired of akimi and had seen sushi langford in passing but thought it was just another dingy little hole but were pleasantly surprised by lovely decor, friendly staff and freaking good food! Now we frequent this place quite a bit. Prices are good, food is excellent and service is mostly good. The monkey brain is super, rolls aren't soggy and the sashimi is always really fresh. Would highly recommend.
Best in langford. Definitely the best sushi place in Langford. The guys who work at the sushi counter are always in a good mood and you always get a nice greeting when you walk in. I've never been disappointed with the sushi and the service is always fast. It's moderately priced, not the cheapest sushi you'll ever find but I would say it's worth what you pay.
Amazing sushi restaurant! The only one nt boyfriend and I will go to. The monkey brains are amazing, the crazy roll is insanely good and everything is presented very nicely! You can tell the staff are genuine and the place has a great vibe :) to die for!
I am from vancouver, and this place is up there with some of the best in Van.
Awesome sushi! Very fresh and decently priced.
Went there on a busy Friday night with a few friends, place was packed full except for a few spots at the bar which we happily took. The service was a little slow but that was completely understandable given how busy it was inside and on top of that the takeout orders were also nonstop. The chefs were phenomenal, great to watch all these impressive rolls coming together so quickly. The monkey brains appy is a favorite of mine, order it pretty much every time, this time I ordered the crazy roll, an 18$ roll that I have been very curious to try. Instantly my favorite roll of all time and also a full meal in itself, worth every penny! I've tried many other rolls there too and loved them all. I've probably been to about 6 different sushi places in the Victoria area and this place is my favorite.
Best sushi in Langford. This sushi place beats all the other Langford Japanese spots, hands down. The sleek modern decor really sets the tone as soon as you walk in. The bento boxes are delicious and a good value. I appreciate the little touches, like their friendly greeting the minute we walk in and the little pot of tea that they leave at each table. The servers have been wonderful. This restaurant is a great addition to the area.
Mostly Good!. We've eaten in once and done take out twice. Our eating 'in' experience was great! Love the ambiance and menu and wine pricing : ) Sat in a booth with 4 of us and it was a great night. Love the Monkey Brain and combo platters. Last night we did take out and was a bit disappointed with the tempura yam roll as it was a bit undercooked and the spicy tuna roll was TOO spicy with the bright red spicy sauce on top. We are used to a creamy pinkish spicy sauce on top which is not quite so hot; would be great if they could offer this. We hope to see this place succeed so will be back! :)
Great ambiance and deliciously fresh food. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated - very modern without being pretentious, and quite clean. There are many seating choices too: Tables, large booths, and sushi bar seats so you can watch the sushi chefs work.
My dining companion and I ordered some maki rolls, assorted fish tempura, and prawn and sweet potato tempura. It was all very delicious. The tempura was nice and scalding hot, crunchy without being hard and dry, and it was coated in panko -- it wasn't just batter. (I really get annoyed with sushi places that merely batter the tempura - it NEEDS panko for that delicious crunch!) It came with a wonderful, light, dipping sauce with a perfect amount of sweet and salty. The maki rolls were fresh and tasty and held together well. (nothing is more annoying than loosely wrapped maki) A good sized dollop of wasabi and pile of gari accompanied the nicely presented rolls.
3 maki rolls, with 2 large orders of tempura, and 2 green teas came to about $30. I think that is a pretty good price for all of that - we even had some left to take home.
I will definitely be coming back here. It was one of the best sushi places I've been to in awhile and at a fair price. :)
Excellent quality, excellent service, atmosphere is fairly good. I don’t mind paying extra for good quality sushi but it’s still too expensive. $45 for 2 dishes after tax and tip is just too much. I know I ordered sashimi but it was $20 and that’s more than some really high end places I’ve been. It’s okay to be very expensive but then the experience needs to be mind blowing.
Went for lunch and it was absolutely delicious, the staff are so warm and friendly.
Great service!! This is by far the best Sushi in the Westshore!!
Superb!!! Very delicious foods. Thank you Chef Angelo and Garry. Best Japanese restaurant in Victoria
Great food every time. Excellent, friendly service. Today I ate the Crazy Roll at 2pm. It's 11:30pm and I'm just now thinking about a snack. Keep making good food guys 🍣🍤🍵
Um...ok so here's a good story for you: I was thinking about what kind of pizza would be neat to try, afterall we have taco pizzas and butter chicken pizzas but never have I tried a sushi pizza. Then a while after I had this thought I decided to order sushi because all that thinking about sushi made me hungry for it. Well, to my surprise, this place actually makes it!!! And not only was it the most delicious "pizza" I have had, it was also the most delicious sushi too LOL :) You will definitely want to go and order this the next time you're in for a visit. I got the vegan one but I'm sure the one with meat would be equally as delish! The only thing I would have liked to see added to it would be some nori somehow. Perhaps along the bottom? Anyhow, thanks for making my crazy thoughts come true!
We had a bento box and it was AMAZING! Incredible quality and value…ingredients were top grade and they were prepared perfectly. Service couldn’t have been any better! Definitely our go to place for sushi when we are anywhere near Langford.
We enjoyed our delicious lunch combos. The Sushi combo which included a yummy selection of nigiri sushi which included a perfect bowl of miso soup. The beef teriyaki lunch also included soup and was more than delicious. The portion size seemed very generous and the staff was very friendly. We will definitely be back.
Best japanese restaurant I tried and Angelo and Garry are the best. They are super nice and friendly 👍🏽
Honestly one of the best Sushi places I've been too. The food was presented so beautifully and the taste was amazing!. It's a very nice, quite establishment with very friendly staff. The service was very quick and even though it's expensive it is definitely worth the quality and amount you recieve. If your looking for a sushi feast this is the place for you.
Reasonably priced menu with friendly service is a good recipe for any restaurant business. However, two of them rarely come together.
At Sushi Langford, you wil find them both!
Sushi chiefs are personable, and servers are super friendly.
Don't judge the place by looking at outside of their restaurant. IMO, they really need to redo the exterior of their restaurant which makes me to think it is a tiny place. Their location at Millsteam is not that great either (I haven't been to Belmont yet).
Try their sushi and talk to their chiefs. They are proud of serving sushi to people in Langford and visitors.
Here are tips:
- Service: Excellent
- Food: delicious
- Ambiance: Dark and modern look
For pick up orders, you don't have to wait right inside of the entrance and go to inside (nearby casher) to order.
