Always had great food and good service. We have been to jakes at the lake on a number of occasions and taken our adult children (kids welcome here too)
always had a good meal, everyone compliments on their choices, local craft beer and wonderful specials, everyday is a new special, usually for $10, but also 25% off all food for seniors (55+)on mondays; would suggest waiting to be seated, some people don't, we do and get great service
Amazing experience! Beautiful patio over looking the water. I came here on Sunday and it was really busy. The server was very nice and attentive even though she seemed really busy she took the time to joke with us. She managed our table of ten people like a pro. I think her name was Jen. Food was good too. Beer was great. They brew their own beer and it was good! Will definitly be back next time I'm up at the lake.
Service needs work. Took my better half out for Valentine dinner, 45 minutes after we were there asked how long our meal would be. At least three other groups who arrived after us were served and almost done. Meal was excellent, steak was cooked as requested. Asked for desert menu, by this time the place was pretty well cleared out. Waited 20 min until the waitress came back to see if we wanted desert. Asked for our bill and left. Please Please Please the service needs to inprove.
Just what the Lake needs. Went twice last week, enjoyed it with a friend on the deck, and it enjoyed with the kids in the evening. Food was good, standard Just Jakes fare. Lots of choices and the kids food was cheap, good and came very quickly. Service was good. Only comment was the music was a bit loud, especially in the bathroom. Can't beat a patio view of the lake on a sunny day!
Overall OK. I am a lover of Just Jakes and the Craig Street Brew Pub, so had to give this a try while visiting my mom out at the Lake....overall dinner/drinks were OK...but the desserts ( which are usually awesome in the Duncan locations) were clearly stale and been sitting at the Lake for awhile...perhaps the tubers don't order them as often as the town folk do...I will be back, but Managers..make sure the infamous desserts are fresh!
