Amazing!!! Like so SO good. My husband and I both agree best breakfast sandwich we’ve ever had, high quality ingredients and the homemade cheese bun was Delish and held the sandwich together perfectly. We love and know good food, and this place is worth the fun short ferry ride - we walked on and then into the darling town. We bought all kinds of things from their store for dinner tonight, including fresh local greens, seafood pies, jams, fresh Potato bread. The pizza was just ok, but that is just our preference to a crunchy crust which it lacked. Lucky we found this place!
Cute little place we found after getting off a five-minute ferry ride which took cars across the water. We had the fancy grilled cheese ($12), smoked meat panini ($12), kombucha, and Black River orange juice. I really love that people can enjoy the water view while having a quick bite. Perfect for summer!! ☀️
I make sure to go to the LeHave Bakery whenever I visit my brother. In fact I have been there twice already this visit and may go a third time. Though not cheap, the baked goods are delicious and well worth it. The scones and butter tarts are some of the best I have had. I have not had many meals here but recommend The breakfast sandwich. The bread is also excellent, and the day old loaves are reasonably priced. The interior is full of lots of interesting local antiques. The building was an outfitters and many items remain from that time, including a brass turn- of-the-century cash register that is still used. To get there from Bridgewater we drive down one side of the river, cross with the ferry (which is free because of covid) and then return on the opposite bank for variety. The drive is lovely.

Had this little bakery recommended to us by two different tourist information people so we had to try it. I was thrilled to find some traditional Canadian bakery products, scones, date squares, and oatcakes. My European husband, who doesn't like sugary bakery goods, looked suspiciously at them but pronounced all of them terrific. The oatcakes in particular were just like the ones I remember having as I grew up, thin, crispy with a hint of brown sugar butteryness. YUM! An added bonus was the view of the sparkling river.
Great place to have lunch on a beautiful summer day. The food was delicious and the views outside by the water were a lovely addition. It did take a while to get our food as they were very busy. There are not a lot of options, but the food they have available was enjoyable.
The google reviews are spot on for this location. SO good. Amazing food, organic focused, and full of character.
We finally made it to the LaHave bakery a few days ago, and I can see what all the fuss is about. We got some bread, savoury pies, jams, a mustard vinaigrette, some sweet baked goods and some coffee, and it was all wonderful. Like, all of it. Not a thing to complain about with any of it. I already can’t wait to go back to try more things - absolutely delicious!
