Our group of six arrived right at the Sunday lunch run. The manager met us outside and said how sorry she was that we'd have to wait a while since they were short staffed. It was a nice day so we chatted outside until they had a table for us. Kira was our waitress and was extremely helpful and friendly. We had drinks before us in no time and our orders were given. Despite a tricky order, she got it all correct. I had the Cod Fish & Chips which was great. The BBQ Wings and California Stir Fry also got rave reviews from the group. Times are tough and wait staff is in high demand, but they performed admirably. I like the rugged ambiance of the place. I'm happy to be back again.
Tonight I went down for dinner with my spouse and everything was awesome. You can count on the food always being good but tonight was phenomenal. I had the shwabisch and my spouse had the halibut and chips. Mine was perfect and super tasty. The halibut was also great. Still crispy at the last bite, flavourful and very moist. So glad this was our choice tonight. Service was also top notch. Can't say enough good stuff tonight.
Best restaurants in Kitimat hands down. Menu offers a lot of unique dishes you don't see much on menus. The dining area split into two sections. On the left is table cloth and more casual upscale settings. On the right has a pub like atmosphere. I went with the left side.
I ordered the chef special soup $7 and Salisbury steak with prawns $24 (no photos, too hungry lol) and carrot cake $9 (no photos, too hungry again lol).
The soup was hardy and flavor was good. Tomato based, noodles, chicken and vegetables. It was a bit warm than hot when servered. Still enjoyed it overall. Salisbury steak with prawns was very good. It was nicely executed and made from scratch. The carrot cake was probably the highlight. The best carrot cake I ever had. You can tell it was made from scratch and executed well.
Service was very good too. The server was nice, friendly and attentive. The menu had so many good choices that I was struggling to choose! I wish that I tried it earlier in my visit than on the last day here. I would definitely gone again. I would highly recommend it as the best restaurant in town.
Warm wood interior, a bit rustic. Busy at 10:15 AM on a Saturday morning. Small family style restaurant menu selection. Surprised by 10% seniors discount. I didn't know about it.
This place is a Gem. Deffinitely worth the wait. Staff was very nice and the food was amazing. My date had a classic Omelette and I had the Eggs Benedict. I highly recommend this place for Breakfast. Not only was the food on point, so was the vibe. Very warm and inviting atmosphere
This has to be one of the best restaurants in Kitimat. The service is always great and so is the food. Their desserts are made in house and they have a surprisingly large menu that offers something for everyone. Some of my friends love the butter chicken and they cook a mean steak.
Great food, great service, clean spacious restrooms, all over, amazing experience .
