I really loved going to slices growing up with my grandma their soup was really good so were the burgers and their amazing French tries. I haven't gone in many years and I definetly would go again.
The place offers good cheap food. It's, by anyone's definition, a "greasy spoon" kinda place. So the decor is nothing special. But if your looking for a nice clean place to have a cup of coffee and an all day breakfast, then you should definitely consider this place.
Astoundingly fresh and delicious!. We found this place because it is right next to a large used book store (KW Books) in downtown Kitchener. We were not expecting anything special, my companion just needed something to eat before proceeding to the next book store. To our great surprise, the sandwich my companion ordered (and this was at the end of the day, on December 29 which is pretty much a holiday in this area) was spectacular. It tasted so fresh and the constituent parts of it were of such high quality that my companion can't stop talking about how fantastic it was. He has eaten at a very large number of places in my presence and NEVER has he been so enthusiastic before!
This place looks nothing special, and downtown Kitchener is -- well -- not perfect, but this diner-cum-sandwich-place-cum-Greek-restaurant is a real find. The owners really seem to care about the food.
