My favourite brunch place in Waterloo hands down. The food is delicious, the portions are great. And it is very affordable! The atmosphere is very homey and the service and staff are great. It is usually busy when I’ve went but I’ve never had to wait a super long time, if you’re waiting, it goes by pretty quickly and they are able to seat people quite shortly after being put on a list. Whether you’re a sweet vs. savoury person, there’s something for everyone on the menu.
I’ve gone there a few times and the staff there are all so friendly - Brenda specifically has served me several times and is awesome!
If you’re a fan of crab cakes - they have really good crab cakes here!!
Since September, my friends from class and I have been coming here, and not once have we been disappointed!
Being close to campus is one thing, but the variety of food is what will keep you coming back!
The food is delicious and plentiful, they definitely don’t short on the portions so you’ll get your money’s worth!
The service is also very good, with the servers coming to check on you often and with kindness. It definitely provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere!

This is the best breakfast spot in Waterloo. Their food is always excellent and they serve large portions. I love coming for brunch on the weekends. I highly recommend the smoothies! The Oreo pancakes are also amazing to share with a group
Korner Kitchen is probably the best breakfast place in Waterloo for breakfast staples like eggs Benedict, or just bacon and eggs. The Benny is served with a good hollandaise, grated potato hash browns and baked beans or oatmeal. The oatmeal is really good!
It’s a very busy place on the weekend and parking can be a little tricky. Often there is a wait, but there’s a seating area to wait in. I find the staff friendly and there’s lots of them. Highly recommended for breakfast!
Had a lovely breakfast date with my husband in Korner Kitchen and it just set a positive tone of that whole day.
The interior exudes grandeur leading you to think that it’s a lavish way to start the day, but the food is reasonably priced and generously portioned. Plus, our server Kelsey was a darling who attended to us all throughout our stay with warmth.
So as someone who has always been head over heels over breakfast dates, I will definitely come back, hopefully with our kids too, soon.

I visited korner Kitchen couple times now and it never disappoints. I had their Pacific Benedict for the second time and I loved it. The Benedict was absolutely delicious with perfectly poached eggs. My friend had the East Coast Benedict and it was also yummy. The staff were friendly and attentive as usual. The only downside is that the restaurant can get quite busy on the weekends, so be prepared to wait a little bit for a table. But trust me, it's def worth it for the delicious food and great service. Highly recommend giving this place a try!
We went to Korner Kitchen in Waterloo on a weekend afternoon and it was super busy. We waited for almost an hour for a seat but we were a group of 5, so we expected to wait longer. They also take down your number so they can call you when your table is ready.
Once we got a seat, we noticed how nice it was inside, the interior is quite modern. They had a large menu so if you are indecisive then I would recommend you looking at the menu on their website ahead of time. We got the Biscuits & Gravy ($9.95), Avocado Toast & Poached Eggs ($11.75), Texas Benedict ($15.75), and Veggie Skillet ($15.95). Everyone liked their dishes and everything was well priced for the portion. The waiters were fast and efficient. Sometimes you need to flag them down to get what you want since it’s so busy, but they get it for you immediately.
Overall, a good place to get brunch; tasty food, well priced dishes with decent portions, but just be prepared to wait a bit especially on Weekends.
Went on a Thursday afternoon and couldn’t believe how packed it was. Then I realized why! Service couldn’t have been more friendly, the decor was lovely, and the food was fantastic. Will definitely be back!
I absolutely love Korner Kitchen. I’ve brought so many friends and family here and we all always leave smiling. The service is personable and makes you feel comfortable and welcome. I have never had a bad experience here. The atmosphere feels like home and you look forward to going back. We have had the pleasure of connecting with many great servers and staff. Definitely recommend.
