Our server Tiffany was excellent. It was Steak and frite special night, and the steak and fries were terrific. The garden salad was lovely and had one of their specialty Caesar’s which had a spicy pickled bean, celery and lemon garnish. Love the locally sourced foods, everything growing on patio was edible and a kitchen staff member came out to harvest some herbs while we were there. Would highly recommend, average to high prices depending on dish you choose.
Borealis is in my top three restaurants to go to! Never had a bad experience and food is always great. The staff there are fantastic and the atmosphere is perfect for any occasion. I recommend Borealis to everyone I know!

We recently had one of many work events hosted at The Borealis in Kitchener. Because of the exceptional service, we continue to host all of our work events there. The restaurant is beautiful with stunning architectural designs, and paintings. The service is always beyond fabulous, and accommodating to our needs. The food is always divine, and we love supporting farm to table!!

We had a very enjoyable dinner at Borealis Grille & Bar last night. They had a varied menu, with something for everyone. And all at our table really enjoyed their meal choices. (See pics) Nice rustic, historic decor, cool vibe and our waitress was lovely and friendly. Happy to recommend this spot.
Tasty food and good atmosphere. Servers are really friendly and very patient. I ordered the fish not really expecting much but was delightfully surprised at how soft yet crispy it was. The way it was paired with wheat of some kind really complimented it. Portion sizes were very generous! We also ordered sangria which was super good. The amount of fruit in it was just right.
Came to try this place for the first time on NYE. I am very happy with the service we received. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I also love the history of this place and the atmosphere was awesome! All the staff seemed so welcoming and provided excellent customer service from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious. My steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. I can't wait to come back here to try more of their menu items!
Had the pleasure of enjoying lunch on the patio this afternoon. We ordered the pesto chicken burger with a gluten free bun and the ole smokey burger. The gluten free bun was a delight, which is rare for most restaurants. The menu was easy to read and understand for food restrictions/allergies. The service was incredible and we didn’t wait long for service or food. Will definitely be back.
We attended for a birthday celebration and had Luigi as our waiter. Before even getting to the meal options, Luigi was quick to give us a local history lesson about the building. Which was very fun to them take note of all the photos on the wall. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and great a attitude of being "obsessively local". Food was exceptional.

Fantastic friendly service and delicious food. I wish I lived nearby so I could come more often! Amazing local ingredients done up very deliciously and great local beers on tap as well.
From the moment we walked in Borealis, we felt welcomed, important, and cared for. Our server Luigi, went out of his way to make sure we had one of our best dining experiences ever. Our meal was prepared to perfection and arrived in a timely manner. Borealis is a splendid restaurant to take your family, friends, and associates.

We decided to try something different for our staff Christmas party this year. Borealis was awesome to work with and made the whole planning process painless. They booked us their private Tom Thomson Room which easily accommodated all our staff. They were gracious when meeting us all. The menu was set but there was an option for everyone - beef, chicken, fish and vegetarian. We had 36 people and all the food was delivered promptly and hot. No one was left waiting, nor were there any errors. We had two servers (Patricia and Luigi) working our room who were welcoming, efficient, accurate, funny and charming. 10/10! Would highly recommend for any business function or personal dining experience. Well done Borealis. Your kitchen and staff are top notch. We would not hesitate to use you in the future for any of our company functions. Cheers!
