Very interesting store with natural food with good deals

For the past 2 years I have been living in Downtown Kingston and have been shopping each week at Tara's. Every time I have come into the store, I have always been treated like family. Staff members like Vincent and Laura (2 of the 3 that I spoke with most, but that doesn't mean I am excluding anyone else I haven't named personally!) have shown me such kindness. It is abundantly clear that they are absolute gems in every way!! Also, I would be completely remiss if I didn't mention Joanne. She has been the clerk with who I spent the most time getting to know. Let me just say that she is truly such a delightful/wonderful human being. From the moment I walked into the store, she always made me feel like I was at home. She has such a warmth and a caring to her character and from the bottom of my heart I want to say how much I have appreciated all of her kindness! One of my favourite joys was shopping and I could overhear her interactions with other customers. Her positive/loving energy just exudes love and compassion!! I will very much miss her and every one else at your wonderful store, this is truth <3

A go-to health food shop for locals and visitors that's for sure. Tara has been bringing in Montreal bagels for years.... the real ones. So good. As well, you can find all sorts of vegetarian and vegan options here. Fresh local produce and fresh, refrigerated meal options as well. A must stop!
Tara Natural Foods is a beautiful downtown space filled with excellent healthy food options and a great staff. I've shopped here for decades, and won't stop. The variety and choice of foods both fresh and bulk is inspiring. And the owner is thoughtful and fine person.
Wonderful health food store. Their selection of vitamins is excellent. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful if you are looking for something specific. I placed a curbside order for organic flour a while back, and the order and pickup process went very smoothly. I love shopping at Tera.
Great place to shop for fresh local produce and foods, bulk foods, and vitamins in Kingston. Staff are super helpful and welcoming! Grateful to have a shop like this in Kingston.
Please note that this store takes COVID-19 protocols seriously (which I really appreciate!).
Great little natural food store with a wonderful selection of bulk, fresh and frozen foods. My only frustration was that they didn't have any unsweetened coconut chips. Loved the local produce displayed outside the store; purchased some candy-sweet blueberries that I can't wait to devour.

If I ever left Kingston, Tara would be my most missed thing about it. Visiting Tara is a mini-adventure. They have a huge selection of healthy foods and not-so-healthy but delicious treats for eery diet and budget. They also have a very comprehensive natural supplement section and some natural beauty and home care. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They are also really great about you bringing your own containers and bags as to not contribute further to waste (unlike Bulk Barn). A great local business!

I have been going to Tara's since they opened! I remember the tiny store my best friend and I would buy dried fruits for our school lunch. When the other kids were eating french fries and cola; Tom and I were in the park eating figs and dates from Tara's Foods. Lovely. Through the years Rudi has been a generous helper when i was involved in community groups for men's healing groups, and other support groups events in the city. For myself - i have always been able to count on Tara to have affordable items of food and skin care; for someone who has a lot of allergies and worked in health care this is really important. In the times now of online shopping - I am grateful that I can phone and go to Tara's and find what i need, and it is also less expensive than the company online prices!!! I love that Tara's is still part of downtown with amazing staff that are willing to take the time to help with questions and order things if they don't have it in stock. I hope that people will continue to support this wonderful place and it's lovely staff.
All Natural but watch out because its extremely expensive
