The best home fries in town!! I love the breakfast sandwich!!
This is the place to get breakfast in Kingston! I highly recommend this place over Morrison's (weak frozen home fries) and any of the pub breakfasts which are over priced.
The food is basic but good...you order at the counter...then sit down....the food is brought to your table...simple enough...the 'feel' is casual, the tables rustic...the whole place is relatively small...maybe 10-12 tables...it is NOT FINE DINING...if you want that kind of ambiance you can find that elsewhere in Kingston...however if you just want a quiet lunch, or breaky...fairly priced and tasty...you would not be disappointed.The toilet facilities are something else however...when the MEWS was built they did not completely gut everything and rebuild...they maintained the basement as is...the trip to the toilets is quite unsettling...you are walking thru 'catacombs'...you see no one...and there is a hollow feel to the place...as it it will cave in at any moment...it is a long journey for a loo...there is an attempt to keep things clean...even the walls are painted white...but you still feel you are walking thru a snow tunnel...very creepy...but not the restaurant's fault.
Cafe Le Matin is a quaint little cafe located downtown Kingston. It has nice decor and I can appreciate the atmosphere they are trying to conjure. With regards to the food, I ordered the big breakfast. Although I found it was quite good, it was pretty standard and there was nothing special about it. For the price, it was a good deal, but again, there was nothing unique about this place to separate it from other good breakfast places in Kingston.
Yummy. This is a great spot for people watching. The food is basic but really good. You have to order upon arrival and pay. Then you seat yourself and enjoy.
We usally go for breakfast. It is reasonable and has good portions. The food is fresh and tastes great. The restaurant is clean and the staff is helpful and pleasant.
