the food is amazing love this place to die for food is so yummy there tepura shrip is so good all the cooked foods r amazing and the best roll is 172 its spicy crab mmmmmmmm accually otw there now
Came for lunch. Very fast service on weekend! I don't think they missed any orders either! The rolls were not too good to be honest... but what can you expect from AYCE. Other dishes they had were good, such as the tempuras. The place to come if you want AYCE in kingston.
Very good, fresh sushis and japanese food! Great all you can eat formula for low price and many choices on the menu. Unfortunately, very bad service. The most unfriendly staff i've ever seen and that's for ALL the staff. No smiles, no thanks and you have to ask for everything more than once in order to get it. Seriously, they are lucky to still be in business and that's only because of the low price, all you can eat sushis and food. Wish someone would do something about the service at this place!
I'm surprised by all the negative reviews. Have been many times to Sakura and have never had bad or unfriendly service. Mind you, I've only had teppanyaki there--perhaps things are different on the other side? Have always enjoyed the teppanyaki, the cooks are very entertaining and the service has always been great.
I recently went here for the teppanyaki and while it wasn't the best I've ever had, it was certainly good and I will return with my boyfriend. I don't understand all the bad reviews this place gets. The staff were quite friendly. If anything they weren't faking happiness like most restaurants, and as long as they bring what I've ordered I have nothing to complain about. I didn't try the sushi or anything else on the menu but the teppanyaki was definitely very good and well priced. If you're giving this place a bad review just because the server didn't smile at you or made a small mistake then you're preventing people who want to try the place for themselves from coming here. Some of you seem impossible to please. Every restaurant makes food differently and honestly, you're in eastern Ontario so there's only so much you can expect from Japanese food here. If you're looking for a unique experience I highly recommend the teppanyaki here, try it for yourself and ignore all the bad reviews.
I don't agree with a lot of the bad reviews for this place. Yes it is not the best sushi you will ever find, and sometimes the service is slow, but you need a different attitude going in. It's a great place to go for all you can eat sushi (especially for university students on a budget, which I am). The lunch is reasonably priced I think, and it's fun to go with a big group of friends. They have a lot of selection on the menu. You aren't there to chat up the waiters, you are there to hang out with friends and eat as much sushi as possible haha, so if that's what you are looking for then this place is great.
You should go there. When we have our dinner in sakura restaurant. we had been waiting for almost 20 minutes to have seats.that is very busy restaurant, then they can bring us fresh food.we will come back.
Nice restaurant. When i am first time in kingston,i stay in kingston for a week.i finally find out the sakura restaurant, food is great, and the service is excellent.most people working in the house are kindly.i am very enjoy it.
Great food terrible service. Ok, first of all, Chris needs to calm down. This place does have terrible service, but the sushi here is amazing. I usually come here for lunch buffet, and the waitresses give you a piece of paper to write down your order, so you don't really have to interact with them. This is actually my favourite sushi place in kingston, based only on the fact that you can get unlimited sushi for lunch for around $17
There are better places for sushi, but not for value
