Love the food and have been coming for years. It is classified as ‘fast food’, but I don’t think that truly describes it. I would classify it as a deli/lunch counter. Excellent food, friendly staff. Win, win.

I've been in this city for quite a few years now, and have been to basically every restaurant, but this is hands-down the best place to get a sandwich that Kingston has. Do yourself a favour and go for lunch one time!

Lunch time is very busy, and it can take awhile to order your food. The food is fantastic, and priced fairly cheap. Your food is made to order. I recommend the cream soups!

Danish Wedding Cake - Special Order. For my wedding, I phoned the Danish Embassy asking if they could suggest a bakery that could make a Danish wedding cake. The 'Golden Rooster' was the only name that was suggested. Needless to say, this item isn't on their menu. However, it was well worth the trip to Kingston!

This place is definitely the best recent discovery! Democratic, reasonable prices for high-quality food and products, very positive and hospitable staff. Clearly place is created and operated with love. Can’t wait to visit summer patio ❤️

Great place to grab a takeaway lunch (terrific sandwiches & soups) or enjoy the small patio on Princess St, or a table inside. Good selection of cold cuts, cheeses, even sweets at the till incase you forgot dessert!

Although it's not the hoppin spot it was several years ago the good was still great, seems like a less meat on the sandwiches , but the Cesar was still delicious!

Good for a quick deli eat. Great friendly staff. I had the Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich with Hot Mustard on Rye. It was good, but the Rye bread was alittle to thin and meat was good not great. If you're looking for a quick bite with good meat than this is the place!
