Always a wonderful place to eat and soak up Kingston’s historic charm. The eclectic menu and fantastic cocktails make for a great evening out! In summertime the patio is the most spectacular patio in Kingston 💕 and in winter the cozy warmth inside makes you want to settle in for the evening ❤️

After years of walking by Chez Piggy my wife finally convinced me to go there in celebration of our 16th wedding anniversary. A late call with a bit of cajoling got us a table for two at 8:30 on a very busy Friday evening.
We showed up about 20 minutes early and were promptly delivered to our table upstairs by the loveliest of hostesses. We were brought a basket of delicious breads and our drink orders were taken and then delivered post haste.
Although the restaurant was filled to capacity the wait staff appeared to be effortlessly satiating the needs of all of their patrons.
My wife ordered a root vegetable soup and I received a shrimp-on-salad appetizer that was part of my "table d'hôte" dinner. While the shrimp and salad were excellent the soup was sumptuously divine. A virtual raft of flavours including horseradish and a magnificent thick texture truly made this a small bowl of heaven.
Now, for the main course. My wife was beyond delighted at the choices that were available to her for order. In a world of limited options for vegetarians in main stream restaurants Chez Piggy has truly broken the " Veg Barrier" with such inspired dishes as the one she ordered.....The Cauliflower Steak! And boy was it delicious. Not some attempt to take a vegetable and press and form it to look like a piece of meat but a beautifully seasoned and grilled chunk of cauliflower served with roasted sweet potatoes, an epic black bean salad and some wonderfully prepared kale. I was presented with a phenomenal peppercorn steak on a bed of some of the best mashed potatoes I have ever had and also with a side of the buttery kale. The meal was 10/10!
My wife enjoyed the desert that came with my table d'hôte which was a flourless chocolate cake which truly topped off this epic meal.
So, all in all folks, I would highly recommend Chez Piggy for all of your fine dining requirements. I certainly know that I won't be just walking by it so often now!
This was a great experience!
First time to Kingston and to this restaurant. It comes highly reviewed, and I concur.
It's a little tricky to find for first-timers because the sign doesn't really give it away. Follow the alley and it will open up to a beautiful courtyard patio not seen or disturbed by the street.
Everything was wonderful. The ambiance, the energy, the friendly staff (Kasey is awesome), and the food.
Some may consider the menu pricey. I don't mind paying for good food, and this is good food. I trust the pics will do it justice.
Their in house strawberry shortcake on a biscuit and gin sangria are must haves!
I cannot say enough good things about Chez Piggy! I booked a reservation to have something new and interesting to celebrate with my husband. And I am so happy I did!
Our server Mike was so amazing and attentive, and the food was amazing! It is a little pricy but so worth it. I have been to more expensive places and this one is so much better. It is seriously worth the little extra money. I will definitely be going back. The drinks actually have kick and the food is so fresh and flavourful. Absolutely delicious. Perfect!
Our server was absolutely wonderful, and did her absolute best to make sure our experience was as enjoyable as possible. Very capable and amiable.
The food however was not to our taste as the flat iron steak was very salty and the confit duck was very dry.
This has become a regular place for us to stop for lunch during our drive between Toronto and Ottawa/Montreal. Their courtyard patio is really nice and their food options are great. They are also open to customization. The Chez Piggy club sandwich and the Grilled Cheese avocado toast are our favourites.
Super tasty and fresh! Smoothie was excellent. Great atmosphere inside and out as well as awesome service! We will definitely be coming back!
Love this place, it is neat and clean. The menu offers a variety of flavors - Greek, Italian, Asian and more. The sandwiches are big and delicious. The potato chips are warm and fresh. The nachos is loaded, it is a meal on its own. The gnocchi is creamy and nicely done. The pita bread is paired with generous servings of flavorful humus. The cuttleries come with pretty napkins, I hope they sell it in their gift shop.
Absolutely delicious food! Our waiter Greg was very pleasant, personable, and awesome (: I had birria and raw oysters for the first time and they were so, so tasty!! Would definitely visit again and recommend to all
Very beautiful interior, loved the ambience! Food was good, I tried the Arctic Char special. Our server Michael was a delight even though it was busy and he ran the section by himself. Great service!
