This place is the best restaurant in Kingston. I love it with all my heart. The food was flavorful, filling and fascinating for your taste buds. The servers were delightful. The atmosphere was splendid. And to top it all off, you can bring your own finest pinot grigio from your cellar at no additional cost. The only downside was this restaurant and all its staff are not located in my hometown of Ottawa. Also, I'm Indian, so I know my shit.
Wow!!!! I have tried MANYYYYY Indian places in Ontario. This place is to die for! I had the Kashmiri chicken. The flavours cannot be described. Best Indian food ever!!! I am very sad not to live in that city just for this restaurant. I will make sure to drop by every time I'm on the 401 Kingston area. The waiter was very friendly. The place is fancy but not expensive. Very affordable for the food you are being served. The atmosphere is also very authentic and beautiful. Absolutely 10/10 thank you for serving me amazing food!!
Kingston Indian Restaurant. Having recently returned to Kingston after living & dining in downtown Toronto for the past fifteen years, it was easy to recommend my favourite restaurants.
The selection in culinary delights was extensive and my friends & associates were always delighted.
In my search for a good local Indian restaurant, I visited Saber's Taste of India and spoke with the owner Saber, we discussed the menu and off menu selections.
I am pleased to share that my expectations were exceeded. The Aloo Mutter (spicy) and Butter Chicken (tomato base) dishes were exquisite .... not sure how my friend / chef in Toronto will react to this though! LOL ;-)
Thanks Saber....
Amazing food! From Toronto and never had this kinda food before! Great customer service! Wouldn't mind driving 3 hours just to eat here!
Lovely Dinner. It's a quirky restaurant with great food. No corkage fees which is great too.
Chef is very good and does a superb Handi kebab amongst other things. Always busy. Lamb dishes are also exceedingly tasty.
Predictably outstanding. Fresh, savoury, and exacting, every one of their dishes I've tried carries a unique signature that can be relied on to please with every visit. You're sure to leave with a gustatory smile or Saber's my uncle.
Recommend: beef vindaloo, mixed veggies, and the amazing palao rice & naan.
Cost: on par with other Indian restaurants in the area, but with much higher quality and friendlier service.
Decor: ambiance is not their forte, but it is cozy enough and hey: the food IS that good that you really won't care about wallpaper or tablecloths.
The Best. Saber's Taste of India is an absolutely wonderful place to eat. The food is beyond compare. I have never been disappointed and I eat there about once a month. Your satisfaction is of utmost importance and dishes are prepared to your liking - more heat, less heat, more spice - all you have to do is ask. The staff add charm to your dining experience by offering suggestions and taking care of you with pleasant and sometimes humorous service. To top it all off, you can bring in your own wine and there is no corking fee.
Been to many restaurants across Canada and the U.S. This place ranks in my top 3 I have ever been to. Superb food, and superb service. 10/10 no question.
I ate the Saag Paneer there tonight and it was amazing, as always. I'm a regular customer and have had many dishes and have never been disappointed. The staff/owners are friendly and provide an excellent atmosphere. It is a gem!
Great food and prices. Friendly mom & pop feel. Would definitely recommend to a friend and I will come back. Don't forget your own wine - no corkage fee.
Great tasting food, happy they have lots of vegan options. Had 3 dishes, chickpeas, eggplant, and spinach, all were flavourful. Will order from them again.
I had paneer jalfrezi(mild spicy), naan and onion salad, everything was so good in taste. Also, the staff is humble and advising. Thank you for your hospitality. I would love to order again.
Absolutely delicious Indian Food! We ordered take out and the person on the phone addressed very well a gluten allergy. All food was very flavourful and the meat was very tender. The portions are well sized. Rice has to be ordered in addition to the mains. Will definitely be back for other dishes.
Incredible food, kind and helpful staff, and a beautiful atmosphere. We had a mango lassi, naan, pulao, masala lamb, and lamb madras - and all of it was impressive. Will definitely visit again!
