WOW!!!  My boyfriend ate
here on a Saturday night for his birthday. 
We were seated immediately and got a wonderful table by the
window.  The tables and chairs were new
and comfortable and the decor was nice. 
We both had the Table d'hote.  The
soup was butternut squash and was the best we've ever had.  I actually took bread to make sure I got all
of it.  Appetizers were crab cakes and
tuna carpaccio.  Both were delicious and
I could not believe the generous size of the tuna. Mains were prime rib and
strip loin steak.  The size is not listed
on the menu and we were blown away by the large portions.  They were huge and we both could not finish
dinner.  The meat was cooked to
perfection and the sauces were delicious. 
We upgraded and did the wine pairing for each course and they were
fabulous as well.  Our waiter was
friendly, efficient and just plain fantastic. 
The chef Pietro came to our table to ask us how we liked our meal and we
could not say enough good things.  We
rarely write reviews, but we had such an enjoyable experience from the staff to
the atmosphere to the food, we just had to. 
This is a wonderful addition to Kemptville and we are already planning
to return.

Sunday Brunch. First time at the New Rideau Restaurant. I had been there once before, at least 8 years ago (previous owners). What a change in the décor! Very nice! We were a party of 14 (9 adults, 5 kids). We had a reservation which was great as the restaurant was very busy. We all ordered off the brunch menu. The food was great! Nice selection, something for everyone. Coffee and getting replacement cream etc was a little slow but they were busy. Looks like some kitchen staff came out to lend a hand at one point. Only con: a guest at my table thought the toast tasted garlicky but I don`t think it was brought up to the server. Not sure as I ordered eggs benedict. Kinda weird. Will definitely return and can't wait to try their other menus.

Everything is freshly made!. As a regular guest at the New Rideau Restaurant I have to share my experiences and give the working crew all the credit they honestly deserve. How Coby and her staff transformed this place is above and beyond. From the patio, the sun-room and the indoor dining to the top-notch kitchen, the choice of recipes and the endless amount of dedication to make every meal a memorable one! The influence of the Dutch cuisine is worthwhile to explore. The food is incredibly fresh, well portioned and served with a smile! And if you ever have any personal requests do not hesitate and just ask. Thumbs up for the New Rideau Restaurant, where they serve food for the soul!

Just went there for lunch and was shocked to see what a nice Restaurant it'd become - clean and almost posh interior. The food was fantastic and the service was great. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone.
