WOW!!! My boyfriend ate
here on a Saturday night for his birthday.
We were seated immediately and got a wonderful table by the
window. The tables and chairs were new
and comfortable and the decor was nice.
We both had the Table d'hote. The
soup was butternut squash and was the best we've ever had. I actually took bread to make sure I got all
of it. Appetizers were crab cakes and
tuna carpaccio. Both were delicious and
I could not believe the generous size of the tuna. Mains were prime rib and
strip loin steak. The size is not listed
on the menu and we were blown away by the large portions. They were huge and we both could not finish
dinner. The meat was cooked to
perfection and the sauces were delicious.
We upgraded and did the wine pairing for each course and they were
fabulous as well. Our waiter was
friendly, efficient and just plain fantastic.
The chef Pietro came to our table to ask us how we liked our meal and we
could not say enough good things. We
rarely write reviews, but we had such an enjoyable experience from the staff to
the atmosphere to the food, we just had to.
This is a wonderful addition to Kemptville and we are already planning
to return.
Tried it for the first time this past weekend.It is under new management the change was a great. Now called the New Rideau restaurant and Castleview Fine Dining. Bothof our meals were excellent. Great service and ambience in the fine dining area was very comfortable and relaxing with a nice fire roaring. Pietro is very personable and talks to all his customers. A la Carte Menu is very reasonable! Looking forward to going back.
