Review Ylw Tacos - Kelowna

Absolutely phenomenal, delicious tacos. The hand pressed fresh tortillas are excellent. I had the pork belly, the ground beef, and the fish, and I'm not sure which one was the best. I would get ground beef tacos more often if they were all like this: savory but also saucy. The fish taco had a great texture and flavor. Highly recommended. Pork belly is apparently very popular here and I could see why. It was shredded and crisped so it was soft but also crispy. All the housemade hot sauces we tried were delicious. I doubt you could find better tacos than this anywhere around here!

The fish tacos were delicious. Whether it justified the 'premium' price for what is essentially ordinary street food is subject to debate. The service was friendly and efficient. The truck was parked in a parking lot next to a major highway. Convenient, yes.

Got the classic mixed plate (chorizo, chicken and ground beef). Told the server I am gluten and dairy free and they easily accommodate my dietary restrictions. Portions are bigger than expected and also more flavourful than expected (and I have high expectations). I also got a peach karma which is a drink made right in Kelowna! Highly recommend :)

THIS IS A MUST GO! Food is amazing. I’ve never had such a good assortment of vegetarian tacos. The staff are friendly and the service is quick. There is outdoor seating available.

Seriously the best spot in the Okanagan for Mexican! Super generous portion sizes for a reasonable price which feels like it’s hard to come by these days! Food quality is second to none and the guys in the truck always just seem to be so happy, you really can tell it’s made with love! Can’t recommend enough!

I stopped here today while in Kelowna and had the quesadillas. This was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. So so so good. Nice work and I’ll be back for sure! Awesome staff, great atmosphere

Love it!! So fresh and tasty. There are so many great tacos to try so I will have to come back! The chilli lime sauce is nice and the premium pork belly is so worth it! If that's not your thing there are vegetarian options too. It is the perfect amount of food for the price. I am bulking and just barely finished!! The staff were also super chill and friendly. See you again soon!

The food here was excellent! We ordered a pork belly burrito, a tofu burrito, and the quesadilla. The portions were excellent and they all tasted fantastic. Even the quesadillas which are easy to become very average tasting were excellent. The pricing was average and the service good. No real complaints here and I would definitely go back!

Literally my first stop when I get to Kelowna. Our family has never been let down by this place and their awesome food. The OG food truck is my favourite and you have to try the fish burrito with avocado and the honey heat hot sauce. Another favourite is the tofu tacos with avocado. If the food truck isn’t open, hit them up at The District. An absolute must try.

Being from a large city, and owning food trucks myself we always try to stop and support local food trucks. Many times were disappointed, but that’s definitely NOT the case today. These tacos are AMAZING!! You can tell they put a lot of love and care into their food, and it shows. 3 large tacos loaded up properly they hit just the right way!! The value is fantastic as well, when restaurants are jacking up prices and shrinking down portion sizes. 110% will come back again, and highly recommend if your even thinking of checking them out, DO IT!!

There is no greater Mexican food truck in the Okanagan. Maybe even food truck period. This place makes almost everything themselves. The pork burrito is a work of art. My wife is a meat eater but she always orders the tofu tacos here. All the staff are awesome! You will never be disappointed eating here. And you get a good amount of food for the price.

My husband and I were hoping to go to a restaurant for lunch but found it closed. We decided to try YLW tacos due to its great reviews. Portion sizes were very big. Tacos were delicious. Burrito was large and yummy Nice socially distanced tables with umbrellas and hand sanitizer available.

When a picture says 1000 words. These are the most vibrant and delicious tacos kelowna has been graced with. I could never stray from the fish tacos. Everything is fresh and consistent. I bring my friends here and they always fall in love

Great spot with very good authentic tasting food! I had the tacos here (why wouldn't you) and they were made with great quality tasting ingredients and had the perfect balance of zesty citrus sweetness and juicy flavourful proteins. As seen in the pictures I had the chorizo, pork belly and beef tacos (not all in one, however that might be a fun combo if you were brave enough haha). The corn tortillas were awesome as well! All in all, I highly recommend stopping by for a quick snack here and trying some fantastic local eats!

Just gotta say these fish tacos were great. I will be back for more, hopefully if the sun comes out and gp have a picnic with a beer. Mighty fine work!

Best Mexican place in town!! Never had a better food truck experience. Had the chicken burrito and it was awesome. Price definitely matches the portion, couldn’t even finish the burrito. Will always go out of my way to come here when im in town.

Wow! So glad that we stopped and tried the YLW Taco food truck for lunch! You will not be disappointed and you will not leave hungry! Nice set up outside with picnic tables with sun umbrellas. Kids got the quesadillas for $8 and the portion was 4 big cheesy slices with a side of sour cream and homemade salsa. Husband got the pork bellie burrito and mine was the Tofu burrito. So filling and so good! Will go back for sure! When you are in Kelowna this food truck is a must!

Fantastic tacos and friendly staff. The ingredients are very fresh. They even make the tortillas to order and have homemade hot sauces. The pork belly is a must try. Hands-down the best tacos in town.

Ever since Taco Del Mar left town I've been looking for a new burrito place that satisfied my needs of a hefty but simple burrito place....I came across this place searching for food trucks to try and the entire experience I had was top notch. They told me all about what was in it, accepted that I can't have alot of things they usually put in and did a burrito right for me on the spot...It's a little pricier than I'd like but it's definitely the 2nd best burrito I've ever had, the best in the okanagan for sure. The quality is definitely there and the pork belly is absolutely delicious (although I did feel my arteries clogging devouring it lol, maybe cut some grease somewhere?), maybe will try the tacos another time! Only critiques are the price being a smidge (a couple bucks more compared to something comparable in size/quality on the coast) higher than I'd like and maybe making the overall size a little bigger (Still, was full for hours but there are days this would fall a little short) perhaps an option for extra rice alongside the extra meat/cheese options too to bulk it up further though that might require a bigger tortilla.

Born and raised in Mexico I've been looking for good tacos since I moved to Canada in 2007. Even though I've found a couple good ones, nothing as good as YLW food truck. Outstanding food and service. Keep it up guys!!

Just tried the pork belly burrito and I'm in love! The perfect amount of heat with amazing flavours... not to mention it's big enough for two people to share! Look forward to trying the rest of the menu!

Best tacos in Canada West trust me! Mr.Desmond and Mr. Kevin represent a brilliant team. They love to do things at the original right way. Since the begining to the end.Tortillas, meats, sauces, spices and vegetables are components for an amazing result. Burritos, tacos, excellent Vietnamese coffee. Less is more. Like artists you have a very good taste in all senses. Congratulations gentlemen.
