Very positive dining experience. Delicious Italian food in a traditional themed restaurant. The food was delicious and the portions are huge! Location is very busy but worth the wait. On our visit, the servers were a bit overrun. We will definitely come back as the food is excellent.

Went for the first time tonight and was impressed! Was craving real, filling Italian pasta and was not disappointed. All 3 of us were satisfied with our meals and the service was friendly and attentive. Portions are huge. You won’t leave hungry. Provided a birthday dessert for my birthday, and offered a great selection of homemade desserts. Will be going back!

It was tough getting in around dinner time on short notice because this restaurant is so popular... for good reasons. Definitely the best Italian food in the Okanagan! I recommend the delicious steam mussels. You can resist sopping up all the amazing broth with extra fresh bread.

Feels very authentic from the first step. Rustic and homey. Food is some of the best Italian, especially for the price. Very good service, our glasses were never even close to being empty. They also surprised us with a dessert in celebration of a birthday! Simply a great dining experience.

We were visiting Kelowna for the weekend and after a wonderful day at Myra Canyon Trail, we decided to visit downtown. We were looking for a place to eat and after passing the regular suspects like OSF, BSH, CC, etc (guess the names), we passed alongside Mamma Rosa. We were not sure if that was the place but after driving around, we ended coming back and eating here. No regrets! It was fantastic! Food is delicious. The atmosphere is very fitting and service was pretty good. It is a bit pricey but after actually eating, we unanimously agreed that it was worth it! We ordered: - Capresse Salad (D E L I C I O U S ! ! ! ) - Foccacia H (Amazing mix of flavours) - Lobster Cannelloni (Fabulous!) - Key lime pie and Tiramisu to share (To die for!) Just one little flaw: Bill came with a 7.5% tax with no explanation or heads up. I do not like hidden charges and therefore, I adjusted the tip accordingly. Unfortunate because service was great. All in all though, it was not enough to alter my review. I still highly recommend it. 🙂

Ate here twice during our visit in Kelowna. Home made pasta was great. We would have tried more dishes if we had more days to spend in the area. Spaghetti pescatrice had lots of prawn shrimp and scallops but the sauce was too runny, would have been better if it was creamier. Fettuccini al pesto is delicious. Great service.

I know when we go here that I will be happy with whatever I choose. There's a lot of decisions on the menu, so it is a hard choice! Service is always good. High quality food!

Came here last week for my grandma’s birthday and the food was amazing I had the fettuccine al pesto it was very good even just dreamed about it the other night very very tasty

Mamma Rosa's is hands down the best Italian in Kelowna. They are a super cute and cozy restaurant with very kind staff. I visit at least once a month, and am never disappointed! The portions are large, sauce-heavy, which I personally love, and have that authentic homemade Italian noodle that is hard to find in other restaurants in the area. My personal favourite go-to dish there is the Fettuccini Alfredo. I crave it daily!

Had our anniversary dinner here. NEVER going back. The menu claims each dinner is prepared fresh yet our meals came out 5 min after ordering, and no one checked if we needed anything or how our food was... I was hoping to order a glass of wine and had difficulty acquiring staffs' attention. A few minutes into our meal, My husbands' meal was so awful he was afraid to eat it. when we finally managed again to summon a server, she asked what we would like as a replacement and again our 'fresh' meal arrived in 5 minutes. Worst restaurant experience ever�

This establishment has always been our favourite go to... did take out pizza tonight. Very disappointing. $75 for pizza that was cooked half hour before pick up time. Mama’s pizza is usually fantastic .... not Tonight. (Dry over cooked stale minimal cheese )It’s unfortunate that the consumer continues to pay for restaurant inconsistencies.

It was our first visit and the moment we walked in the scent of Amazing food was in the air....every dish we had was outstanding. ..Cannaloni. ...Linguini....Gluten free penne. ...Antipasto. ..the bread ...the service was superb It was my birthday and they surprised me with a Italian ice cream and candle! Can't wait to go back!

Nothing about this food is authentic

Stepped into an incredibly nice and cozy Italian restaurant that did not disappoint. We got the spaghetti alla carbonara and lasagna rossa which were both absolutely on the spot. The pastas had the right texture, the sauces had the delicious goodness which really charged those taste buds. I'd day the prices felt more expensive than expected and perhaps the service could've been better. Overall though, we enjoyed out time here and would like to come back again.

My husband and I were the first to arrive for a casual dinner before attending the Actors Studio Theatre. We'd just ordered a bottle of wine when a family of 5 walked in, the baby was shrieking! They were seated 2 tables away where the baby continued to wail. We immediately decided this was not the dining atmosphere expected in a relatively pricey restaurant. When I explained why we were leaving, the server made it clear to all to hear that it was a "family restaurant." We would have spent at least $120.00 + tip, but now won't go back because of how she handled this. I am a mother of 3 young adults, when the children were young, while out in public whether to eat or elsewhere, if they became disruptive, one of us took them out to ensure the comfort of others. That's called manners!

Wow Freshness at its Best. What a great evening. Our appy Mussels were covered with fresh ingredients, Gnocchi was a huge portion and so tasty. Met the family who were so genuine and kind. Service was excellent and food was authentic and tasty <br/>Dawn and Rocco

This is a great place lovely interior great ambiance and honestly the BEST veal I've had in western Canada we had a party of five and had great service amazing meals everyone enjoyed it was our first time here but won't be our last!

Always my #1 choice.. I'm reading these negative comments.. and I'm blown away. Never once had a bad experience. Love the food. Yes it is pricey .. but you get what you pay for. Maybe I've always "lucked" out when I've dined here. But I will continue coming back and recommending this restaurant !

Disgusting. Possibly the worst food, worst waitress and worst ambience I have ever experienced in a restaurant. I highly suggest if you go to stop at Mcdonalds first. Avoid the middle aged reddish brown haired waitress like she is a leper. her table side manors are on par with the nations worst! You would get better treatment at a soup kitchen.. and more than likely better food. DO NOT EAT HERE!!

Downhill. This used to be a really nice place to go for dinner. Food was always good and the service excellent. The last time things were a different story. Food was slow, overcooked pasta, not hot enough and just not up to the standards it used to have. Too bad, but there's lots of other good restaurants.

The food is undeniably good. but however the decor could use a renovation...<br/><br/>Prices are fairly high... but thats italian. <br/>For the ambience its not a great value.. <br/>The service is sub-par... however I think they are understaffed or overworked. <br/><br/>Benefit of the doubt- its worth it if you like high priced italian. <br/><br/>Manager and owner seem authentic.

Horrible. Went there once... "McDonalds" grade food and the service left much to be desired. Decided to try it again, this time we came from the beach and I felt like because of my attire I got treated like a second class citizen. I sat for 15 minutes with not even a drink order or water offering. Horrible, horrible service. I will never be back.

I had a horrific experience. I went for dinner with my mother and grandmother for my birthday. My mother ordered a pasta dish with shrimp and a cream sauce. When it came she tasted it and it was not enjoyable. The sauce tasted like a cheep cheese imitation and the shrimp were off. She of course returned it and asked for a different item instead which was 5$ cheaper. By the time the food came she was feeling so sick she couldn't eat it so she got it boxed and asked for our bill. When it came we were surprised that the bill wasn't changed to the lesser priced item. When I asked about the discrepancy I was told the waitress wasn't allowed to change it and I asked for the manager. When the manager came out he came storming out, got 3 inches from my face and started screaming at me in front of everybody there. He was rude and extremely disrespectful. He informed me I was basically stupid and didn't know anything about good food and I was lucky he didn't charge me for the original meal and the replacement meal. He then crumpled my bill and threw it at the waitress before storming away. I won't be going back and I urge others not to unless you want bad customer service.

Great Italian Food. Visiting from Winnipeg, we wanted some good italian food and this place didn't disappoint. Fettuccine Alfredo w/chicken was fabulous. My wife had the cheese and spinach cannelloni which was good. Garlic toast was good and plentiful and the bruschetta was also pretty good. Kids had penne with meatballs and sauce that was good also. If we lived here this would be a staple.

I was at Mamma Rosa Restaurant on a Sunday a few weeks ago and overall had an unpleasant experience. The food was exceptional, however, it seemed as if it were very under staffed, with only one server, whom I saw very little of. It appeared that the support staff were doing the majority of the work and I was very displeased. Unfortunately for this reason I will not be returning, and quite a pity because the food was very good.

Great Dinner. First time going to Mama Rosa's. Service and meals were fantastic! We will be making this a regular stop for our Italian fix.

Exceptional Food!. I visited this restaurant a few days ago, and ordered the Spinach & Ricotta Lasagna. This is the second time in the past 2 years that I've ordered this dish - the first time I tried it it was excellent and despite the numerous other enticing choices on the menu, I ordered it again, and wasn't disappointed....it was truly amazing the 2nd time around and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The meat sauce was incredible, and I couldn't stop eating!<br/>The ambience and service were exceptional as well...and as a finale, I ordered the Tiramisu, which was a great end to the evening.<br/>Thank you to the chefs and staff @ this wonderful restaurant for the phenomenal food.

We had another awesome meal at Mamma Rosa last night. They are the perfect spot for families or couples and even big groups. <br/>We started coming as a couple and are now a family and Mamma Rosa is I e of our favorite places in Kelowna. The food is always solid- fresh, tasty and great portions. You certainly won't leave there hungry. This month they have a Chantrelle mushroom special and my wife and I both had them with veal. It melts in your mouth. My son has never eaten so much in one sitting. He also loves the food and the attention from the staff as well. <br/>I've never had a bad meal there and we look forward to our next visit to see James, Raylene, and of course Mamma.

Best Italian in the Valley. Mamma Rosa Restaurant is the only place I will go for Italian food. The portion sizes are very generous and are always delicious. I love the atmosphere of a small and local family run restaurant!

Mamma Rosa's has some of the best pizza I have ever had! And if your not in the mood for pizza I highly recommend the Sea Food Shells or the Handmade Lobster Cannelloni! And for all those gluten free lovers my friends tell me the gluten free cake is delicious!

Best Italian Food in Town. If your looking for authentic italian cuisine, Mamma Rosa's is the place to visit. And, if your lucky you might get to meet Mamma Rosa herself.<br/>All of the pasta, sauces, and bread are homemade daily, and you can definately tell. I can't eat pasta anywhere else now, it's to die for. <br/>The menu is huge, and has so many options (even vegetarian and gluten free). Everything is made to order so you can get whatever your heart desieres. <br/>The staff is knowledgable and friendly and the service is amazing. <br/>If you've never been, I highly reccommend going with your family, kids, or your significant other!

Mamma Rosas?! More like Mamma GROSS'as!!!! What really makes me mad Is I wasted $70 on dinner at the place, I honestly would have rather spent that kind of money at a steak house. If this place really wants to know authentic Italian food, the should go to Amerosas, or Antons in Vancouver and take a few notes. They are way over priced for the quality of food they offer and the service was "meh". I will not be returning. I feel like we were ripped off. I'm sorry but Ive had authentic italian and this was just not it.

North American Italian. This is not authentic Italian but it is a hell of a lot better than the Spaghetti Factory and I'd even go so far to say that it rivals La Bussola because you are getting the same thing for a more convenient price but in a less romantic or classy atmosphere. <br/>I have to admit my weakness is the Tortellini in Parmesan sauce.<br/>Great for takeout.

I recently went to Mamma Rosa's for dinner with my family. It was absolutely delightful! Service was prompt and efficient, and the food was out of this world! Entrees are plenty, be sure to leave room for their divine dessert tray! It had great Italian authenticity, and a cozy atmosphere. Perfect for romantic evenings or family dinners. Loved it, and hope to return soon!

A few friends and I came in for dinner a few nights ago and we will be sure to return as soon as possible!<br/>Such great home made food, we shared all of the dishes among the three of us and were we ever nice & full, I highly recommend Mamma Rosa's before ever going to the old spaghetti factory.... Who would want old spaghetti anyway?.. Home made is the way to go!

Best italian in kelowna!. I have been to Mamma Rosas every time im in kelowna and it never ceases to amaze. lots of dishes, home made, authentic, and Rosa is still in the kitchen creating fantastic dishes with her son and owner ,James. best italian in kelowna hands down! a must when you visit

Good food, but not cheap.. Had a Bruschetta platter that had 12 pieces total of 3 different types. The normal one was quite tasty, but the goat cheese style had a wonderful pungency that added quite a lot. The third type had salmon with artichokes on top. The salmon was fresh (no "fishy" smell or off taste) and the artichokes added nicely.<br/><br/>For a main, I tried the Gnocchi Capriccio with homemade Italian sausage. The Gnocchi was cooked wonderfully (not mushy, or tough), the spicy (mildly spicy) tomato sauce was super flavorfull, the sausage was slightly overcooked, but still super tasty. All told, it was very nice.<br/><br/>This wasn't our first time to Momma Rosa's, we were here years ago and came back because we remembered that the Tirramasu was imported from Italy, and very tasty. It still is, and it's still very good (not as good as homemade, but very tasty)<br/><br/>Add on a half litre of wine and it cost just under $100, which isn't super pricy, but if you're not looking for a "nice dinner out", it could cost you more than you're expecting.

We had excellent service... No need to wait for anything, which is impressive because it was a Saturday night. The food was great.. We both had lasagna and found the portion sizes quite large. Good value for what we received. Will definitely return.

Terrible service, overpriced food and overall unpleasant experience. My boyfriend and I went here on a Sunday night, and there was one server and 2 hostess' working. We saw our server when she took our order, then never again. I understand that they were busy, but when waiting for our meal, if you wanted bread, it was 2$ for 2 pieces of garlic toast and another 3$ for balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The meal was a typical fast food pizza like at Dominos, but more expensive. Then when the "baked pecan pie" came out it was cold. Granted, we didn't know it was served that way, but when relaying this to the hostess when we did not clearly eat it... All she said was "yup, that's the way it is." There was no offer to take it off the bill or offer anything else, we were brought the bill right away. Thanks for the terrible experience and a reason to remember not to ever return... I would compare this place to a smaller version of East Side Marios.

Good but Overpriced. Came here with my wife and 3 kids. We had lasagna, fettucini, and pizza. We all found our meals to be very tasty and the service was very good too. I just found the prices to be a little high for what the food is. The average entree was priced between 20 and 25 dollars and that is a lot for casual Italian dining. But what I found to be a real insult was when we asked for refills of our soda we were told that there were no free refills and we would have to pay for more sodas. $120 for dinner and I can't get a refill of my Pepsi? That alone will keep me from ever going back.

This place is NOT authentic! I am European and they do NOT serve real italian pizza....they say it is, they price it as if it is, but trust me...even Domino's is better! Extremely over-priced and both times I've been, it was an expensive dissapointment! You have been warned....

EXPENSIVE!. Mamma Rosa's food is good. I would have rated it "like" and called it great had it been (at least) 20% less expensive. <br/><br/>For example, the $10 cheesecake was a $2.00 piece of previously frozen cheesecake; no garnish, coolis, nothing to hide that fact.

That's Italian. Had the best lasagna and homemade cannelloni ever, you can tell this was homemade pasta, the sauce was excellent, as was the service. we had the mussels for an appy and their homemade focaccia G (sundried tomatoes and cream cheese) to die for. really one of the only restaurants where almost everything is made on premises by Mamma Rosa herself. oh yeah really good value

Rests on its (perhaps undeserved) reputation.. Stopped in for dinner here last Thursday as I'm slowly making my way through various restaurants in Kelowna. With its kitschy decor and its local status as an old favourite, I expected something a little more than ordinary and was disapointed, though not surprised. We shared lobster ravioli and the house pizza and although they were, for the most part, perfectly fine the pizza ended up being quite salty and the ravioli just a tad fishy tasting. The sangria was what you'd expect from a restaurant of this caliber and the service was unobtrusive yet friendly. Granted, Italian is not one of my favourite cuisines but even for someone who loves Italian, this was not food that warrants a return visit. There is honestly nothing wrong with average food yet with today's competition for your food dollars there are better options.

Yummy Pasta. I have been wanting to try this restaurant for years and two weeks ago had the opportunity to do so. It was a cold, cold evening and so walking into the warm, cozy restaurant was comforting in itself. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. I had the pasta with olive oil, sausage and garlic. My husband had a seafood pasta. Both of our dishes were piping hot, the pasta perfectly cooked and the meal was accompanied by a big plate of crusty garlic bread (not just one slice each). We loved our meal and wished we had room for the dessert tray they produced. Maybe next time!

Are you kidding me Kelowna?. Authentic Italian restaurant???? It was hands down the most expensive pizza I have ever bought and I expected it to be good but it was terrible. <br/><br/>I ordered there once and I will never order there again ever.

Molto bene!. This is a nice family run restaurant. It's cozy and family friendly. The menu is huge and full of Italian classics, so choosing will be quite a decision to make. I tried the muscoli for a starter and it was very good, and the lasagnas are excellent as well. My other three friends who were there had different pasta dishes and they all liked it. Good value.

This is by far the beat pizza place in town nothing else even compares.
