People had recommended this restaurant to me several years ago, but I never made it in. We moved away 4 years ago and were back in town for a visit. My sister suggested this place after going there with a group of people. We were duly impressed. The food was very good, the portions huge, the prices excellent, and the wine list adequate. Be prepared to take half your dinner home with you. Excellent value. We will be back.
Dined for an early supper on a Saturday without a reservation. Were seated in a separate front room away from the main area. Too bad as it was small with nothing to look at. Service was friendly and efficient. Buns and butter served pre- dinner as well as a Greek salad. Salad was exceptionally good aside from the fact that there was only 1 olive. Would have definitely liked a couple more. Ordered the Greek feast (feeds 4). It came with chicken souvlaki, ribs, rice, 4 small lemon potato wedges and 2 appetizers. Deep fried ham and cheese roll ups and rice and beef stuffed in grape leaves. We also added on chicken liver appetizer as we didn’t think the platter would be enough for 4 people, but it would have been just fine as we were stuffed by the time we finished. Everything was tasty, ribs and chicken very tender and moist. Only complaint was that the lemon potatoes were mealy in texture. Unfortunately no room for dessert but maybe next time.
The servers were pretty chill. The place started out moderately quiet, but as 6pm turned to 7 the place got quite loud. I was seated at the area up the stairs and I found the lighting to be a little dim. There was a belly dancer who started interacting with guests, while special music played. The food itself was good. The pizza had nice fluffy dough, it was tasty. I had the Athenian chicken, and the chicken was a little dry but the toppings on it were good. The rest of the veggies had gotten a little cold, likely waiting for the rest of the bill to be made. The same sort of thing happened with the other dish (the seafood chicken plate, I am not sure the name). The chocolate cheesecake was delicious and plated beautifully. Overall, a very good family-run restaurant.
