We had a group dinner and the food & service was amazing! Stevie was our server who was such a delight to work with. Thank you Basil & Mint for the best meal I’ve had in a while. The mushroom risotto was so flavourful & delicious, the Caesar salad was perfect and the tiramisu was so light & fluffy with big taste. I would definitely recommend eating here!

I booked the private room at this fantastic venue this evening for a gal pal birthday party. Everything was fantastic from start to finish - Stevie our server was absolutely amazing. The food looked wonderful and tasted even better, we had a choice of three entrees from a set menu which were all delicious everyone enjoyed what they ordered. To top it off the manager, Chris came out when we were leaving to introduce himself and to make sure we all had a good time. I would say 10 Stars if Google would allow it, hats off to everyone there - we will definitely be back and spread the word!

So happy to have found this place! As a traveller with a companion who is celiac, it can be a challenge to find a good place to eat. Almost all dishes were gluten free and the cross contamination considerations from the restaurant staff was amazing. The food was outstanding. And the drinks were delicious! Try the house vodka ceaser.

Came here for my birthday. We were greeted and seated right away. The atmosphere is very clean and beautiful. We ordered gnocchi the chef mentioned he makes by hand you can tell there is a lot of effort and care in to the food that's made. Everything was plated very well and I felt like I was at a super expensive restaurant. The food prices were very reasonable and not expensive at all. We had a lovely time, this is our go to place from now on!
I highly recommend trying this hidden gem out!

Stevie served our family of 5 tonight on the patio. We had the $45 3 course meals and a pitcher of sangria along with three kids meals. I was impressed by the relaxed ambiance of the patio, the impeccable friendly service by Stevie and the delicious and artistically plated meals. We left feeling relaxed and stuffed and the kids said it was the best restaurant we ever went to! Thanks Basil and Mint for a great dining experience!

My wife and I decided to treat ourselves to a dessert, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! The presentation was beautiful, and the taste surpassed our expectations.
We had the pleasure of being served by Stevie during our visit, and his service was exceptional from start to finish. His personality was the perfect blend of sweet and spice and everything nice! He was excited to recommend the secret limoncello cheesecake, and we are so happy he did! The cheesecake was delightfully tangy and creamy, while the crème brûlée had the perfect balance of a caramelized sugar crust and a smooth, velvety custard. The friendly service was the highlight of our evening and we look forward to returning!

Always enjoy the selection of Wine and well presented food. The braised beef is extremely tender, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The ambiance allows for great conversation and service is attentive and professional.

Great place to take someone to for special occasion or just on the reg. Nice atmosphere food was pretty good. Expect to pay premo prices. Not sure if dessert is made in house. We will be back to try other dishes.

Unbelievable! If you are looking for a high end event this is the place to book. Stephen, who attended to us was pleasant and fun and even took a few pictures for us. The Caesar salad is the best I have ever tasted and it was carefully plated. Whatever the brown sauce was that they drizzled on top of the Caesar salad dressing was so delicious and made it top notch. Kudos to the chef. The four of us had the 3-course meal and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience! We will be back.

Basil and Mint is a delicious restaurant with lots of potential. The restaurant is cute and romantic, and the patio is gorgeous. The food was excellent but a little oily, and our service was decent. I had the house-made Gnocchi to start which was served in a delicious tomato sauce. My entree was the chicken breast and fusilli pasta dish which was really tasty. Great portions for the price. Good place to go for a date night.

One of the best restaurants in town. We ordered the three-course set menu and all the dishes were excellent. The cocktails here are also really great (although quite strong). Overall, a great experience!

The beet salad and gnocchi were good to start with - but the stand out star was the garlic bread. If you get anything, get the garlic bread.
Wood fired pizza was tasty and the creme brûlées were perfect (we had 3 of them)
Our server (Marina) really made our night special - she was so thoughtful and a great conversationalist and made great recommendations.

I had to say special thanks to the chef for the escargot. Loved every single one of them.
The ambience is quite intimate. The servers know what is on the menu.
We took $40 3 course meal, and loved the soup, entree as well.
Definitely recommend.

Six of us came from out of town and had dinner with some very good friends. Chris put us in the private room, it gave us the freedom to move around and visit. The staff was amazing, food perfect and of course the drinks!

We tried about 6 different menu items and there wasn't one we wanted to trade out. It's going to be heard to upstage that meal and try different items moving forward.

Can't wait to come back again. The food was amazing, the 3 course dinner was a fantastic way to try multiple dishes at a reasonable price, with a nice wine selection aswell. An upscale casual restaurant vibe with a nice patio. Our server Erika was amazing and super friendly.

My wife and I have been going to Basil & Mint for two years and have had an amazing experience with every visit. Tonight was no exception. We visited to celebrate our anniversary and were immediately welcomed and congratulated. We were sat by the window as per my reservation and the service was impeccable. My wife is a fan of the roast chicken and it has never disappointed. I usually vary between the specials and again have never been disappointed. The flavors are always bold and the meat very juicy. My recommendation is their 16oz steak when it's one of their seasonal specials. Their menu selection is a little smaller but each item is mastered by the chefs. If you are looking for a restaurant for your special occasion, whatever it may be, or an evening to treat yourself to amazing cuisine I can't recommend this place any higher.

Few things are more comforting than a creamy risotto. And when eating Seafood Risotto at a highly rated West Coast Contemporary restaurant (Mint and Basil), you would think they would get it right. A good risotto comes at the end of a number of steps masterfully executed.
Let's just say it was light years away from mastery. It looked and tasted more like Taiwanese style congee than rich creamy risotto. Pasta al Dente, Risotto all'Onda. ... a perfect risotto is not al dente, but all'onda!
Even if a busy restaurant could not execute at that level, please don't serve me under cooked and raw risotto rice grains accompanying with poor service and I don't know what I am talking about. Seriously.
