Review The Noble Pig Brewhouse - Kamloops

Lori Golden
I really enjoyed the beer selection and even purchased a growler to take out. The food was just ok. I ordered the Mac and cheese while the flavours were great there was far to much sauce, it was very soupy. More pasta noodles required. Fish and chips was also just ok, my husband didn't care for the type of fish used at that time. The stuffed Yorkie were awesome! Best thing we have had in a while. Friendly servers

Beautiful patio! Not only do they make their own beer, their scotch list has a nice depth. Pad thai, meatloaf, classic mac n cheese all tastier than expected with large portions. Staff was great - friendly and attentive. Will be a regular stop in Kamloops!

My ever time favourite place in town! It’s a great experience. The ambience is very welcoming and charming. Amazing wines, Ale, food and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about

If I had to pick a beer favorite, it was difficult. Belgian Pepper Ale or Mocha Porter were both excellent. The house beers are, "3 little pig" themed. The Nobel Pig's, pub food however was a disappointment. Expecting better food from this brew house that the locals just love. Considering the food, I would say everything was really just an Okay rating.

Amazing atmosphere and vibe! Incredible and attentive staff. Our server was very kind to provide us with drinks and food recommendations. I loved the PFC (pickled fried chicken) and pad thai. They were both outstanding. We also tried a couple flights of beers there and the lagers were great!

AMAZING! We stopped here on the way back to Richmond from our roadtrip and man did i not regret finding this place. Everything was perfectly cooked. The food was so yummy. My kids had the fish & chips and mac & cheese. Both were delicious they finished everything and even fought over the crumbs 😂 All the adult dishes were awesome too. The staffs were super attentive. We’ll definitely come back here when we have the chance

My husband and I just ordered a few things to share and it was good. The food was good but nothing to necessarily write home about. The drinks were good, it was loud but the restaurant was also busy. We stayed for a few drinks and just enjoyed the atmosphere and had a nice evening. The service was good and the waitresses were friendly. We noticed lots of larger groups of friends just enjoying some food and drinks on a Friday evening so it was clearly a local hangout spot. Worth checking out!

My girl friends and me hade a very good night at Noble pig. As you know Noble pig has craft bears so I ordered 3 different kind of bear, one with a very summery flavour like rosemary, another with raspberry and one larger. The Raspberry is a special thing. Three different meals we ordered, burger, Alfredo and Tuna salad. If you like raw fish go definitely with the tuna salad. Alfredo is amazing so juicy, creamy and full of shrimps. And my friend was happy with her burger too. Totally if you are looking for a nice peaceful restaurant to go with family Noble is a perfect place.

I enjoyed the curry flavours on this fish dish. Not something I’d expect to see on a menu in a place like this. My only complaint was there wasn’t enough.

This place was spectacular from Mike the waiter to the Radler beer infused with grapefruit, or the apple cider my wife had she said was just right! The Pad Thai she ordered was perfect as was my Texas BBQ pork poutine!

We stopped at the Noble Pig on our Western Road Trip from Victoria to Calgary. This brewpub does not disappoint. Its a must stop to check out.

Amy, our server, provided recommendations that were spot on. The mac and cheese is the best we’ve ever tried... pulled pork is fab, mushroom with white truffle oil is heaven. The jambalaya is everything a good jambalaya should be with perfect flavour explosions. Same goes for the Pad Thai. They nailed it.

I tried Cloudy With a Chance of Hefe wheat ale. My husband tried C4, Danger Bay and Belgian Peppered Ale as a flight. All great.

What an incredible place! The patio is vibrant and relaxed all in one. The coconut curry pork poutine is the stuff of dreams; pure heaven! Nice wine selection, and great beer (so I'm told... I don't drink beer.) The servers are very friendly and fun. Call ahead and put your name on the waitlist - it's so worth it!

Came in and was told there was a wait. I was by myself a third of the seats said reserved. Then a bus load came in but didn't take any of the reserved seats on the side I could see. Get a seat. Beer came quick and was good house made brew but took an hour to get a lamb burger and fries and it was good but nothing special for 16.50. No one ever occupied the reserved seats the entire hour and half it took to get a seat get burger and leave. I'll pass next time I'm here and I'm in town every month.

Awesome service.
The menu could use a bit more gluten friendly options, but we enjoyed the Noble Pig all together. We'll be back next time we're out in Kamloops

We came to "The Noble Pig" for a casual dinner with friends. We arrived (6pm on a Tuesday) and ordered our drinks right before a large crowd of people. Wine and beer were great, came relatively quickly, just after we ordered dinner- a duck confit pizza for an appy; two burgers and two salads. We waited. Our pizza finally came out- mostly mushrooms and cheese, no taste or sign of duck. Then we waited. And waited. Our bottle of wine was gone, and the welcomed buzz was fading. The server came to tell us our food was "coming right up" twice. --AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER-- my partner went to the kitchen asking when we would get our two burgers and two salads. The ?manager came over explaining the situation. Our food came soon after, very disappointing. Harvest salad was bland. Berry salad doused in dressing. Lamb burger under seasoned. Fries no different than the next restaurant. The ?manager came over and comped our whole meal--minus the alcohol.

All in all, an unsatisfactory experience and meal. I have heard good things about this place :(
Best part was the bottle of wine....

Good food, beer and service. Family friendly with an area to change diapers if you have little ones. It was a bit pricey but we'll go again.

We went here for lunch yesterday. Normally I really enjoy their food, this time, we were a little disappointed. Their French fries used to be amazing, now they taste freezer burnt and stale. We shared a lamb burger and it was decent not as impressive as I'd hoped. My sister had the veggie burger and it was painfully dry and tasted like cardboard. We were a party of 6 and no one was excited about their meal at all. I hate writing negative reviews but this place has taken a real nose dive food quality wise recently, and I think it should be known, "people are noticing" ;).

THE GOOD: Had a flight of beer and enjoyed all three (lager, seasonal Hefeweizen which was my favourite, and Amber), the warm soft pretzels, the pulled pork sandwich, and Tamaira (the really nice server). THE MEDIOCRE: The coleslaw (has a brownish black bean in it that gives a weird flavour and texture) and the coconut cream jar dessert (there is a spice in the pineapple that was imbalanced and didn't fit. I knocked off all the pineapple and the remaining coconut cream and crust were delicious. They partially discounted due to the pineapple). THE BAD: N/A

We both had pasta and it was divine!!!! Bison Bolognase and the Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese. Weight staff were really friendly and helpful too!!

Awesome!. Food - great. I had the noble burger with cesar salad, very tasty and perfect amount. Husband had the lamb burger, he ate it with gusto so it must have been good. He had soup with his, very tasty. Beer was great! Pretty good selection. Our server - started with a K, sorry already forgot her name but she had a nice big smile - so patient and kind while my husband couldn't figure out what beer he liked and brought numerous samples. Give that lady a raise! We will be back each time we drive through town!

Great food, beers, and service. We were just stopping through Kamloops for the night and this was a great place for dinner. The food was really good; our server was awesome; and they have a great selection on in house brews. The bar itself is a great atmosphere and nice decor, really good for groups. Would return.

Fries and Pickles. Best fries ever! Crispy on the outside, soft inside. Never got soggy! Great initiation to deep fried pickles. Great beer.
Myrdal Mya
Tasty food that you can tell is made with effort and care. Every time I am in Kamloops I eat here. The beer is unique. I think they make it in house.

One of my Favourites. The Noble Pig seems to be that perfect fit for almost any occasion. From meeting up with Co-Workers, to dinner with friends or escaping cooking duty with the kids this place has it. It also seems to be a favourite spot for people on first dates which makes for good people watching, haha.

The staff here are always friendly despite being really busy during most dinner hours.

Of course one of the mainstays here is the beer. They brew it themselves and they have some really unique flavours If you're adventurous in your affection of beer this place will cater to you.

The other feature here is, of course, the food. I can honestly say that I have never been disappointed when eating here.

If I had one thing to possibly say negative about the Noble Pig I would have to say it's the patio. My favourite patios allow you to look at something interesting and this one is a bit of a letdown. Does look like the building has a flat roof though..... just saying....

Wouldnt ever go here again even if it would save my life. 1.5 hours to get a veggie burger that was awful....45 mins just to get drinks....beyond brutal and very rude service....the beer was good but that's nearly impossible to screw up....anything and everything that required human intervention was awful.....save your money and go 1 block down to Frick and Fracks....better food, better service....better everything

Swing and a Miss.... The menu sounds great but I've eaten here many times and found that they serve very average versions of very good dishes. They have the right idea but the exicution is lacking and the service is pretty lack luster as well. They do make a pretty good beer though!

Going downhill.. This brewhouse was amazing, but things are changing too often and not always for the better. One wants the recipe of the beer consistent and it paired with reasonably priced pub foods; neither of which is on the menu of late. Another price increase happened, yet the quantity is different for the same dish each time we go. They ask for recommendations yet don't implement them. Don't bite the hand that feeds you!
IP Eh
Undercooked shrimp and poor service.

Amazing!. Thanks to Jared Summeers, Chef for going out of his way to treat some dietary needs, and the wonderful staff, who served up a fabulous meal for two road-weary travelers. You guys are awesome! The great food was helped along by an interesting beer selection. Great reason to travel through Kamloops! We'll be back!

Soooooooooo awesome!

Outstanding-Noble. Wow! A great experience from start to finish...Brought our daughter and her friend from Alberta to dine tonight. Variety of crafted beers with incredible, hot, fresh food, well described on the menu with same likeness. Great service, thanks Lindsey, (our waitress). Kudos to the kitchen staff/cooks. We will be back again soon.

Excellent beer ... had the flight school (4 choices from there tap beer) brewmasters wife was an awesome appy composed of Hummas and a excellent tomato relish with grilled naan bread, fresh peppers and cucumber. Great atmosphere and service!

Great food esp. Appys, mac n cheeese, fish tacos and service was great !!
HOGs r us

Yorkies are amazing. Twigs and berries is disgusting.
Dalayce Nichiporik
Yum! Was a little worried when we walked in and it looked a little on the shabby side, but the food was awesome! Two thumbs up for the yorkie sliders on homemade Yorkshires, the Caesar salad with big chunks of side bacon and Parmesan and the caramel used apples and generous slabs of Brie were perfect on the lamb burger. Lots to choose from on tap made it an excellent road stop for an early dinner.

First time here, from out of province. Me and a few buddies came in for burgers and beers! Good food but even better service. I was lucky enough to be seated by the kitchen. I also cook for a living. Watching the staff here was like watching a tightly run ship. The pub itself is huge! Our server said "I appreciate your patience." which was odd because the service was booming and she didn't skip a beat! I love seeing enthusiastic, hard working staff and good food to follow it up with. The one time I've been here is enough for me to recommend it to anyone to try! If ever I'm in kamloops, I will be returning to this awesome pub!

Shitty service poor food. Our over perky server took our drink and food orders at the same time 15 mins for a simple beer and ceasar. Finish our drinks waiting for a refill when the manager hands us our food of cubano and quarter chicken as
he asked if I'd like a refill heck yes. My refill. Comes when sh checks on our food which ended up being four wings as a quarter chicken , with the cubano being a pulled pork like sandwich you can get from the stampede for half 20th pice twice the quality.
Waiting for our server as she tends everyone buy us I flag down the manager asking for the bill ten mins later she sti hasn't seen us. We go to thw bar to pay alone behold manager serves us again. Telling us of our frustration and with yhe lack of service we w ill not be back again.

Looking for lunch. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich and chicken club sandwich and substituted green salad and spring salad for fries. The chicken club was great the pulled pork was average the salads needed a little more "attention to details" to warrant the extra cost in substituting. The mocha porter beer was great.
Kristi
Amazing patio. Great menu. Really enjoyed the food and will certainly go back!!!

My Boyfriend and I went to Kamloops for the weekend and we decided to eat here. The service was friendly and prompt and we had a very nice young lady. The only issue I had was that my chicken sandwich was very dry. Otherwise I will defiantly be going back!

Good beer. Have been stuck in Kamloops for a few weeks and have been wanting to try this place. We sampled a few beers, my favorite being the pilsner. The honey badger was also nice. We only had a couple of light snacks (the soft pretzels with beer mustard and the piccalilli with toasts) and both were delicious. The pretzels were warm and chewy, the relish full of chunky cauliflower, cucumber and pearl onions, packed with zesty spicy mustard. Good drinking snacks and honestly, a nice portion for only two bucks -- the Superbowl special. Will have to come back for more food!

Nice atmosphere, good prices,

Good gluten free menu and vegetarian menu. I love the beer. It's locally owned and the decor and restaurant are awesome. Never had bad service. Must try: deep-fried pickles!

Great food. Always great food. They haved changed the menu again. Very popular for dinner, seems to be packed everytime we go. Which is at least twice a month. Great selection of beers

Good times at noble. Had a great meal and beers a few times now at the noble pig. I look forward to eating there when coming in from town.

Great food, fresh beer!. This place has been a great addition to the Kamloops scene since its arrival. Many menu items are original and they brought new tastes to the area with their creations and in house beer (which is awesome). Try some of their Crispy Friend Pickles and a sample of the local beers, you will not be disappointed.

Lousy service. Unfortuantely, I have been there 3 times becuase it's where my friends have wanted to meet. I have not been overly impressed. Each time I've been there, we have had to literally hunt down the server and even then, she forgot some of the items we'd ordered. Not much fun watching your friends eat while you wait for an order that was forgotten. One thing is for sure, no one will leave intoxicated. You seem to only get one drink and the waitress disappears.

First time here at Noble Pig. Great food, fun atmosphere, VERY reasonable pricing and fantastic service. Highly recommend and wil definitely go back.

Good Food-- Great Beer. The food here can be very good, but a few items I have had were just so so, but never bad-- however the Cubano sandwich and Cobb Salad are very good and never fail to please. I have never had any of the appies , but deep fried dill pickles seem to be a crowd favourite,

The beer though is a reason to not miss this Pub. There are always a few special seasonal brews and the standard list has a good variety of flavours appealing to many tastes. I am a fan of hops and the IPA is worth the trip. Kamloops only has one brew pub and this is the one you need to visit.

Great atmosphere and food. Enjoyed the fried pickles :)
Johnson Is My Idiot Friend
First stop on a ten day road trip .... Johnson sent me to this place to try it for him. Fantastic. Fried pickles, cold beer and a pulled pork monstrosity. Good find my friend, today you are not a total idiot.

Great pub. I love the fact that the tables at the front are now a restaurant. FABULOUS beer.

YUM!. Very good atmosphere! I go here often with friends and work related meetings. It is so much fun to try new, tasty home made brews. I love the summer ale! Came here in Jan 2012 for the Haggis Dinner... it was exceptional! Swords, haggis, beer, bagpipes... you can't go wrong.
Cassidy Rae
Love, love, love this pub! Amazing food that far surpasses typical pub food. Their house beers all have a personality of their own - don't forget an order of deep fried pickles!!
Kamloopy
Great food!. The food here is excellent! Everything is made in house and you can taste it...nothing tastes processed or old. The service is generally quite good too. I have never had bad service - one time it was mediocre (but the server was still nice) and the rest of the times it was great. And like everyone says, try the deep fried pickles! They are the best!
Sparky
Great picklesThe server was ok never cracked a smile! And the bartender should learn how to muddle a drink properly!!

Had to stop.... ...as we were in Kamloops for the day - after reading reviews and viewing the gallery shots from Urbanspoon. The best thing about 'the pig' was the Caesar which was made with olives and extra L&P = Yum, I had two. My Man had the Cubano and liked it, but thought the fries portion skimpy and was dismayed because he forgot to try the fried pickles 'tho had an IPA and liked that it was tasty. Me? well, I didn't really find much to choose from and took the Server's suggestion of the pizza special - my bad, I should have had the pickles and been pickled from my caesar's. Hamburger pizza was really unappetizing to look at and marginally edible - the Server rarely made an appearance at our table and we had to search her out to pay, only to find out that Amex is not accepted and no help in finding a bank machine near by other than, ..."I think there is one somewhere". Seriously. So after driving around for 20 minutes we did return to pay, but probably won't go back unless it's for pickles and drinks. Too bad.

Gotta try them pickles!! Mmmm!! The feature pot pie - taco pot pie - was supposed to be a ground beef based taco pie topped with all the fixins right down to the sour cream she said - sounded kind if fun and quirky actually kind of like the setting/atmosphere! Well a single serving pot pie did come (nice looking but unaccompanied) but with a side of ketchup and fries. The server went back to the kitchen and confirmed that was it. ok then I inspected and tasted it. It was stark cold _ with chunks of ground beef here and there, onions, chunky carrot slices in a beef/sour cream/taco seasoning gravy base. No greenery in sight. Ahhh to bad. Sent it back and got a pretty hot And tasty burger in it's stead. I was do looking forward to eating here. Ah well will give them another try if only to eat this pickles one last time before I leave Kamloops!

Marvelous. The beers are exquisite, the food is great, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and there are plenty of veggie options. This has become my Kamloops fave.

Had my first ever roast beef stuffed Yorkshire Pudding! Drizzled with horseradish sauce. Would almost drive back to Kamloops just to have second serving. Awesome good! (I paid $8) Friendly staff, too.

Great little pub! The atmosphere and the staff are incredibly inviting and the great beer and food seal the deal. Definitely try the fried pickles. They're fantastic. If you like pulled pork, the Cubano is a pulled pork sammy on steroids. So so good. Oh and the beer! Our favs were the pepper ale and the porter. Can't wait until we come through Kamloops again, just so we can eat here.

The Noble Pig- Review. Paul and I have spent many a fantastic time at The Noble Pig. The atmosphere is awesome. There's enough space between tables to do business as well as enjoy the company you are with. My husband being of English origin embraces the culture of the place, and also loves to taste REAL BEER. Also, there are lighter beers. You get the whole package!
I really think David has captivated something that is in a new genre for Kamloops. Congratulations David.....

Hey Beardsell. Stop hitting on the staff.

My wife and I were passing through town and stopped for some grub. We stopped by the Noble Pig late on a Sunday evening, it was the only place that was open and that looked appealing. When we walked in, the resturaunt immediately exceeded our expectations. The place had people eating, but was really quiet in comparison to other pubs. Our server was friendly and kept our drinks full. My wife had the Mac and cheese, I had a ceasar and the curry chowder. Both dishes were very delicious. We never expected to get such tasty food from a pub. If you are looking for a pub with a good mix of chill and classy, that has very tasty food, you have to check this place out. We give it a 5 out of 5.

A Noble Brewhouse. Really nice atmosphere. A little dim but not too bad.
The bathrooms are really chic.
The deep-fried pickles are to die for.
I did not much care for the Cubano Sandwich- too sweet for me.
Not a beer-drinker myself, they did have a good selection of non-beer offerings. Though my friend and I agreed that one of the beers- I think it was the Belgian Pepper Ale- had an aftertaste of bananas.
The Chocolate Porter Cake was a really good chocolate cake but didnt really taste of beer at all.

Overall, I would recommend this restaurant.
Dobbernation
The restaurant offers a breezy space dichotomy where sports aficionados can tuck themselves under the bar and fine dining fans sit at comfy upholstered u-booths. Our team skips eagerly towards a long feasting table which sits under an inverted canoe-cum-chandelier. I peaked over my shoulder and waved at the cooks in the kitchen before running my finger down the menu.

Everyone I know talks about the Noble Pig Brewhouse and their Deep Fried Pickles so finally, we went there for lunch to check it out for ourselves. We asked a pickle craving pregnant friend of ours to accompany us so she can provide us her expert review on this snack food found commonly in the American South . . . after all, who's a better pickle expert? I have to admit, I walked into the Noble Pig thinking that I was not going to like this pickle dish and that it would have to be very good for me to give it a good review. Well people… I was wrong!! The Deep Fried Pickles were fantastic. The batter was crispy and the pickles inside was very hot and crunchy. It's honestly like nothing I've tasted before. I dipped them into the (very) Spicy Ranch Dill Dipping Sauce and it set my mouth on fire but I wa

This was a drive-by discovery. We were coming back through town after buying some plant pots at Art Knapp and happen to drive down this end of Victoria Street. It looked intriguing. I couldn't recall if it was there before or not. I did some internet sear
