Even though we did not have a reservation, they kindly found us a table outside which turned out to be the best table. While I drank my Jasper Brewing Company beer, my wife and I looked out over Connaughton Drive and people - watched and gazed at the mountains. We only ordered appetizers due to a very late lunch. The minestrone soup was perfect. The coconut shrimp were crunchy and delicious. Then I dipped one in the Curry sauce and it was even better! The Maple Walnut cheesecake was one of the best we have ever eaten. Our server was chatty and friendly. Just the way we like them. And they were all bilingual. Merci.
I wish I had tried this place sooner! The food was mouth-watering delicious and had such great presentation. The atmosphere is cozy and gives you a cabin feel. Our server was friendly, funny, and not invasive at all. Highly recommend the red snapper! We will be back!
We were blown away with the flavor and service. The meal was incredible, cocktails superb and our waitress was extremely friendly and made great recommendations. The smoked chowder is a must! Lamb was melt in your mouth and the smoked salmon extremely unique. Very happy with the choice to make a reservation here and highly recommend!
The food was excellent! I was in town and wanted to try some game meat, they had it on their menu. I got the Bison meatballs and the Elk strip loin and it was all.i hoped it would be. My wife and daughter enjoyed their meals as well. The only complaint I have is the long Island iced tea was really watered down. Other than that, service was great and we enjoyed the meal.
Great food! Can get quite busy, so a reservation is recommended. The crab cakes and mushroom bruschetta to start were delicious! I had the fiddle fish pot. The flavour was great, the portion size and amount of seafood for the price is reasonable. The one piece of fish in the fish and chips plate was very rubbery, but the second piece was flaky and moist. Overall, will be coming back!
Fiddle fish pot was just fantastic, one of the best dishes I have EVER had. Rich and creamy, multiple flavour of sea food in one dish. My partner had elk stroganoff and was great too. Great view, excellent service. Definitely highly recommend! ✨
Friendly staff, nice ambiance, pleasing dishes. Among the four dishes we tried, we like best the Fiddle fish pot and Earl Grey smoked candied salmon. Also you can we enjoy the view of Jasper from their upstair patio.
Excellent homemade food with plenty of choice on the menu. Even the herb bread was great! Ceviche as a starter was delicious, full of flavour and served with corn chips. I had another starter as a main, the excellent fish Chowder, with several fish, mussels, prawn and a clam. A big serving for a starter, I was full after these two, but wanted to taste a dessert! The mixed red fruit pie with ice cream, not bad and coffee was good! Definitely will come back here, service very friendly from an all woman team... maybe the man was slaving behind the stove??!!
This Restaraunt has been the most consistent and delicious place I’ve experienced in years. Mind you Covid certainly put the kibash on that. But as before on my two first visits, and twenty some years of professional cooking this place is on the top of my list of all time favorite restaurants ever. When in Jasper don’t be swayed by the choices Fiddle River will not disappoint. The restaurant is nestled in on the second floor on Main Street with a great view of the mountains and some off the best seafood around these here mountains. And one last note as being a ex chef I sometimes forget to mention the other half …..Loni provides exceptional on the mark service keeping the courses coming at exactly the right time a true pro. Thanks guys I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Jasper
Great service. We had the fish soup and Vienna schnitzel. Food was 3.5 out of 5 but service was good so it's overall 4/5 for me.
