I'm very impressed with the quality of the food, compliments to the chef. The service was super smooth and efficient that I was actually in awe. The place has quit an upbeat vibe to it, which makes it a great morning breakfast spot. The walls are covered in paintings and photographs that are for sale, which as an artist myself, always keep my eyes satisfied. Jet Cafe has some of the best coffee that I've had in Hamilton, I love coming back here. And to top it all off, Jet Cafe is always so lively. 100% do recommend!!
Looking for a "Cheap and Cheerful" place to have breakfast in Hammy, then The Jet Cafe might be for you! Had a tasty inexpensive breakfast of Peameal and Eggs and a fantastic cup of Hazelnut Coffee for about 9 bucks includes tax. Oh yeah did I mention that you place your order and then take a number and you'll be served when it's ready...simple and sweet :)
Went sometime during 2018 but I remember this place well.
What brought us in was the ALL DAY BREAKFAST sign while just exploring Hamilton. Hehe. Street marketing still works!!
Upon arriving, it was confusing for me, I was expecting more of someone to address you, sit you down at your table and present a menu. Nope! You come on in, go to the front and order and take any seat you like. The waitress bring the food over to you.
After the initial part, everything went really smooth. Food was delivered promptly. Was a good portion and plating was good. Everything was provided on the tables, ketchup, pepper, tissues, etc.
Although, we had no idea where to get water or if they even offered any... we went to get drinks from Starbucks after.
Still had a lovely and quiet time here. Overheard a few regulars coming in and that's always nice to see as well. Was my first time ever in Hamilton and had a delightful experience!
Great find! Friendly service and the food (we all had breakfast) was awesome! Very reasonably priced too, which was a bonus. Five varieties of coffee to choose from too!
GOOD. Been there many times, love their breakfast special. their kicking horse coffee the best cup of coffee east of John st. downtown, and it's a really great price.
My favorite breakfast place. Smoked Salmon Eggs Benny is amazing. Staff is great too.
Great Breakfast!. I've been to the Jet Cafe a few times now and have had great food and service. I've had different breakfast items and I've always been pleased. The decor may not be fancy or modern, but the prices and the food more than make up for that. This is now our "go-to" place for breakfast!

Awesome Little Hole in the Wall. I've been by this place for years, but I went in for the first time this morning. Sure, its located along one of the grimier stretches of King Street, but the area is rapidly improving and it looks like gentrification isn't far off, if the new deli, clothing stores, antique shops and coffeehouses are any indication. It's not much to look at...garish stucco walls and a bunch of tacky-looking tables but despite the tired decor, the place was clean enough, there's some local art for sale on the walls to look at, a great selection of coffee, including a significant selection of organic, fair-trade brews prominently displayed. The menu selection is pretty varied, with a lot of breakfast items and extensive all day breakfast menu! I had a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich and a coffee. The food was good and basic, I could have made something similar at home but its always nice to have someone else do the cooking! Service was pleasant and quick. My only complaint is that I was served my coffee in a take out cup when I was staying in to eat. I'd rather not make the waste if I don't need to. It looked like a nice little neighbourhood cafe though, friendly owners chatting with regulars, police officers stopping in to say hi. I'll definitely be back to hit up that all day breakfast sometime soon!

Located on the main thoroughfare through downtown Hamilton, beside a parking lot is the Jet Cafe. It is situated in a rather grimy stretch of store fronts, but they are improving as the area is changing slowly. It isn't very impressive inside and certainly could use updating (especially the washrooms) but it has a varied clientele from hipsters to suits. Local art covers the walls and is reasonably priced. It has a large selection of fair trade organic coffees including Kicking Horse Kick Ass blend coffee and a selection of Seattles Best. There is also an outdoor patio on the side of the building and a parking lot beside it. The menu selection is surprisingly extensive, ranging from a wide variety of all day breakfasts, including vegan selections, to a selection of sandwiches, stir fry, and pitas. Amazing little breakfast place! The food is great and very affordable. The coffee is good and the staff are friendly. I'd say this is definitely a hidden gem and I'll go there every time I'm in Hamilton.
I can't believe it's taken me so long to write a review for my favourite, go-to coffee spot. I am there weekly (sometimes daily), to grab a coffee on my way to work. I recognize the importance of supporting local and love the wait staff and Jeff, the owner. I found this #Hamont gem about 2 years ago and have been going consistently since. I'm not sure if it's the pleasantness of the staff, the promptness of the service, or the fact that they have about 10 coffees EVERY DAY for you to choose from, that makes me coming back. This is my usual spot. I don't have to order. They know my coffee and food order. Love Danica, Faith, Jeff and the rest!!! Need a regular spot, "Where everybody knows your name?" Jet is the place for you. Enjoy!
They know how to make the tastiest eggs. Perfect everytime. Large portions. Friendly staff and their prices are beyond fair. I highly recommend them.
Delicious French toast, bacon and eggs! Staff were super friendly, and it’s obviously the locals place to go for good eats. Can’t wait to be back next time we’re in Hamilton on the way to the airport!
