Very Nice and tasty food / service was quick and friendly , definetely be back for more fish and chips ... just be carefull with the paid parking lot next to it .

Went here with some friends before going to a performance.
Atmosphere- We sat on the patio so it was lovely. Inside looks a little too dark to be in on such a beautiful evening.
Food- 1) bbq chicken flatbread- Loved the sauce. They should have had a little more of it on the bread 2) lime rickey shrimps- too hot if you don't like heat ( I mention this because my daughter asked prior to ordering them if they were hot. Waitress said not hot at all. I even like a bit of heat and they were fire cracker hot. The flavour of them was ok and the slaw with it was just ok. 3) lobster rolls- very tasty 4) chicken club- very good and tasty. 5) cheeseburger-not bad but not great either 6) fish tacos- big pieces of fish with a nice corm salsa. However, the wraps had mold on them. My friend who wont send anything back to a kitchen ( fear of retribution- I feel otherwise) She just tore off the mold and ate the tacos. She reported taste was great.
Service- Waitress was personable but I did not like that she told my daughter something was not hot was the exact opposite. The fact that my friend with mold on tacos had her whole meal comped was more than I would expect. That says a lot about a restaurant when they do things like this when something goes wrong. Any place c ould buy wraps with mold on them . It is how they handle situation that makes a place shine.
Impression- We had mixed opinions. I would go back only because of the way this place handled situation of not up to par quality. Cudos.

The Pheasant Plucker is officially my new favourite pub in Hamilton. My husband and I tried it for the first time tonight. We've lived in Hamilton for 4 years. We wish we found it sooner!
Usually when you think of quality vs. Large portions, you think you have to sacrifice one for the other. That's not the case for this restaurant. We both had ceasars to drink (very tasty) and split a spinach dip. The spinach dip was really good. Their pita triangles weren't anything special but the dip itself was very good and about double if not triple the portion size of the Kelseys spinach dip. We also both got the baked burrito. This thing was absolutely huge. Super tasty, perfectly toasted burrito stuffed absolutely full with chicken, cheese, rice and sauces. I couldn't even eat half (probably because I was so full from the spinach dip).
The atmosphere was alright. Lots of groups of friends eating, drinking and talking. Since I was there with just my husband, it was a bit loud but what pub isn't?
I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a casual dinner, or for grabbing a bite to eat and drinks with friends. This place appeals to both crowds. We will be back soon, I'm sure.
I love the food here! The pulled pork is to die for. It's a great place for beer and some grub. They have Kronenberg Blanc on tap which is my favourite beer. The experience is better on the patio in the summer because it is rather dark and depressing inside, although clean. It reminds me of a dark English pub and the interior is styled as such. Another great menu item is the Bison burger. My favourite appetizer is the spinach dip plate. It comes with the most delicious, warmed spinach dip with a variety of bread, pita and chips for dipping. My least fave was the shrimp burger I tried last month. It was just too thick, too many shrimps and much too greasy.
My favourite thing about this place is the name of it. Lots of word play on that haha.
Amazing service. A friend and I were on a very tight time schedule, and the staff here made everything easy! They pointed out things that were quicker to make/order, and ensured that we were in and out within our allotted time! Great food, and amazing service! Love this pub!!
Cozy pub. Relaxing warm atmosphere. Great place for fish and chips and exclellent wing deal on Monday nights (2 for 1 dine in only). Large portions and great service! we will be returning here again!
Great pub atmosphere and my wife and I love the New York style wings. Very friendly and accommodating management and staff.
Nice little place. We've been there twice for lunch now and both times really enjoyed our meal. The catch of the day is always fantastic, and so is the pasta of the day. The menu is quite large, and while there is traditional pub fare on it, there is also something for everyone.
We will be back again for sure!

The service here is awesome! The pub food was good and was as expected. Great local pub feel and cozy well visited pub vibe.
The Pheasant is a lovely pub with hardworking and friendly staff and lots of wonderful regulars. Aoife, Rachel, Josh and Nina are 4 bartenders who have kindly served me for many years. If I ever have an issue with food or a drink they help rectify the situation immediately. The fries and gravy and nachos are two of my favourite items. There is currently a lot of construction on the street but they have made an effort to decorate the patio to make it more inviting. The staff is the heart of this pub and is why the regulars keep returning.
Was in town visiting for the weekend. We just wanted to go out for a drink and have a table to sit down and enjoy our time together. After an hour of bar hopping we came across the pheasant plucker. To be honest, at first glance didn't look as pleasant as it ended up being.

Great place to stop in and have a pint. Warm atmosphere and trivia nights up stairs. Always go here when I am waiting for the GO bus or train. Check it out!
A quaint pub with a great wait staff. The drink selection is excellent and the food was good (but a little pricey for its quality). The atmosphere is not very intimate or warm and would be ideal for drinks with friends with apps.
Love coming here! The staff are fun, friendly and attentive - they make you feel like family! Great beer selection and there is something on the menu for everyone.
Ordered take-out online from here for the first time - 2 orders of haddock & chips, and one order of the chicken tenders. The fish and tenders were amazing! There was one item missing from the order. A friendly staff person handled this in one phone call, with efficiency, grace and generous compensation! Highly recommend this pub!
Had a group with us over Grey Cup weekend. Used the back room. Servers were able to keep up and did a good job! Food is definitely pub food so it was scarfed down! 😂 great spot!
