It was my first time going there, and I absolutely loved it! The fish was lightly battered, well portioned, and had a nice mild taste. The service was excellent too. I'm defiantly going back!
It’s hard to find good fish and chips so I keep looking! This is a no frills restaurant offering take out or eat in. I chose to get take out and saw in store that they had lots of specials. The menu has lots of options!
The staff were very friendly and I got my order quickly. I ordered the haddock n chips and I also bought the whitefish and chips.
It took about 20 min to get home and the haddock fish was not as Crispy but that’s understandable. The whitefish was still crispy (big piece). Chips were amazing, slightly reminding me of Swiss chalet fries.
We went in for an early dinner. Friendly, welcoming staff. Food nice and hot. The fish was awesome and the batter was light and crispy. Awesome!!!
I recently ordered take out for the first time here. It was fantastic! Fish was very nice and lightly battered, not greasy at all. We swapped our fries for sweet potato and it was delicious. I’ll be sure to try dine in next time. We had the haddock.
WOW! Best Haddock and chips ever! 5 stars is not enough. Parkdale Fish and chips is a great place to dine. The waitress also amazing as well. Very courteous. Thank you.

This review is based on take out and my brief encounter with staff. Due to COVID rules, only one person is allowed at the "take out" area, then you're asked to step outside. Once your order is ready, your name will be called on the PA system. The older gentleman taking my order was friendly, outgoing and explained the catch of the day option to me. The restaurant was clean and the same can be said about the bathroom I asked to use.
I've had terrible fish and chips experiences several times in Hamilton (to the point where I'm giving hope) and even though this was takeout and about 15 minutes until I got to eating.. the fish was perfectly cooked and the batter was not overly thick and still had a bit of 'crisp' to it. The fries were perfect (not salted.. as a matter of fact you've got to salt everything if salt is your thing) size and cooked. I dislike it when you get MASSIVE cut fries, thats almost raw and soggy from grease inside - which seems to be the norm in Hamilton.
5 stars with confidence! Next time I'll dine in to get the real crisp.
Came for some fish and chips this past Tuesday, the service was friendly, the wait was short and the food was great!! we will definitely be back. we even got a loaf of bread lol!!
Best perch so yummy staff are very friendly and seem to recognize you as soon as you walk in .

Very classic fish and chip atmosphere. Pictured is the catch of the day with poutine and coleslaw. Service was stellar. As someone that isn't a big fan of battered fish it was surprisingly good and that perfectly crispy batter was amazing. As a huge poutine fan I was very satisfied with quality of fries and cheese curd, the only downside was the gravy which was a tad too bland and salty for my taste. The coleslaw was honestly my favorite part of the meal it brought the fish together and blended well with the gravy. Would definitely visit again and try a signature dish.
