Lo Presti's At Maxwell's

Great Place!. We came here for an engagement party on a Sunday afternoon. The party was located in the Terrace Room which was attached to the main restaurant. When we walked in, we were surprised at how beautiful the room was! It was very large, with elaborate tables and a huge space for walking. It was a perfect set-up for a party! The bar was located at the front of the room which made it easy for everyone to access. The decor of the restaurant was also fabulous, it looked like an antique restaurant with the paintings, colour patterns, and furniture. Upon first sitting down, we began our meal with a small tray of olives, brie cheese, and garlic bread. The cheese was absolutely amazing, it tasted fresh and moist. The garlic bread was also fantastic, it was crunchy with just the perfect amount of garlic and butter. After we finished our first course, we were served the second course which was pasta. We were given the option of either red sauce penne or white cream butterfly pasta. Both of them were wonderful; the white sauce was creamy and the red sauce was well-cooked. We were impressed with how tasty both of the pasta dishes tasted. After the second course, we were presented with the third course, which was either veal piccata (or marsala) or chicken piccata (or marsala). We decided on the veal marsala. We were plesantly surprised at how much meat we received! Two large pieces of meat, with a side of vegetables and cut potatoes. The meat was very tender; with just the perfect amount of marsala sauce. This was probably the best dish of the lunch! After the third course, we were presented with the fourth course, which was the red pepper salad. We loved the dressing on this salad, we didn't know what it was but it tasted like honey, it was absolutely wonderful! The servers and bartenders were very kind and courteous, taking our plates away and answering all of our questions with patience and kindness. We were definitely impressed and will try the main restaurant sometime soon!

The best restaurant in Hamilton, period. You will not find better service anywhere. Werner is all that embodies class. Top notch service, ALWAYS. I have never had a bad meal here in 30+ years. Everyone must try this restaurant before April 23rd of this year. Sadly, this Hamilton icon is closing its doors for good. I hope to have at least one more meal here before then.

If you know, you know! This place is a must try for those who are in the area and love great food! Our family has been coming to Lo Presti's and Maxwell's for years - always spot on. We had an absolutely wonderful time at Lo Presti’s. I’ve been there once before - a few years ago with a big group. This time there were 3 of us. Our server was so kind and thoughtful. The atmosphere is beautiful and the food is amazing. From the wine, to the garlic bread to the scallop appetizer and French onion soup - we enjoyed every bit. Then our main course arrived and we all loved the food. The pasta is delicious and made with such care. We will most definitely be back — this time, much sooner! What a fantastic experience.

OMG...Best kept secret in the Hammer.... Atmosphere Ambiance and Attention to detail makes this venue a Rockstar of Italian 😋 Fare. Get there before the end of April as the owners are retiring 😢.
