Good sized airport, got through security quickly with priority for families with children. Not a lot of vegan options at the restaurants. One elevator was broken from the car rental spot to the departures floor so we had to carry our stroller/baby/car seat/all the things up the stairs. Staff was nice throughout. Quite busy when there are a lot of flights but manageable. Lots of bathrooms, clean. Some cute little gift shops. No Starbucks that I saw, but there is a Tim Hortons.
Good airport. well maintained. The staffs out there are helpful and direction signs are also fine to figure out your way out. Bit small in respect to the other international airports however nicely organized and maintained. For Uber or any paid taxi go downstairs from the arrival place. One very nice thing I have seen there is the auto rickshaw displayed for some promotional activity it seems. Overall good airport, as it's small so you wouldn't have to walk much to come out after you collect your bags.
Great, convenient and efficient smaller airport. On-site hotel with a pool and direct access to the terminal. Newly added Verified Traveler security for Nexus holders to pass domestic security very quickly and US Customs pre-clearance for travelers going to the USA.
Located past security, across from Cucina Mexicano, it is easy to see and they are fast! That is particularly important when you are waiting to depart on your flight.

I learned that there are 2 sizes, Regular and Small. I always thought there were three sizes. Who'd have thunk it?

Flew to the Newark via Air Canada, it is awesome that we have pre clearance in Halifax as there is hardly any lines to worry about, nothing like Toronto, no lines for check in or to go thru security. There is also a duty free and a snack bar once past security, again not very busy.
This airport is very nice and clean! They make you feel comfortable and it is easy to navigate. If you had any problems with anything or need help you can ask anyone and they would be able to help

It's a very well-planned airport. As Halifax is relatively a dmall town, the airport does great service to the city. It is big for the city and the experience of coming through it was smooth.

Super clean and hygienic airport, comparative to metro city airport it's small but digitally equipped to meet the requirements. The airport has some amazing artistic drawings on its window across the gate pass to the security check pathway. One thing that captured my time and mind is how spacious and intellectually designed the public washroom they have, specifically the placement of hand dryer and paper roller is one example to try to limit paper usage by placing an electronic dryer before you make your mind to use paper. As you can see in the attached picture the design idea of it is really admirable. Top of all the Nova Scotian officers won my heart for their humbleness.
Very cute and convenient airport in Atlantic Canada. Has great amenities. Loved the connection from the airport for rental cars. After collecting the luggage, take elevator to P1, cross the passage; right across the road, there is a section dedicated for rental cars. There are cute gift shops in the airport. Eating joints are also nice.
The most beautiful and biggest airport in Atlantic Coast! Very thoughtful (has a pet restroom:))convenient, clean, spacious and comfortable airport with friendly and helpful ground services! Many local shops, coffee stores, gift shop, and restaurants for your needs. The best of it, you can buy live lobsters at Clearwater (it opens at 10 AM). Have done an amazing upgrade and made it even more attractive! Love it very much!
Good signage inside and outside , amenities are in line with the site of the airport. The driving in and out of the location is straightforward. In general it is well executed.
Halifax International Airport is one of the busiest airports in Canada, which so many might not have noticed. I usually develop a phobia when luggage is taken in at aircraft, i often lose my luggage.
It happened to me with one of the major airlines in Canada which I don't want to mention the name of the airline, though the case is still in court, very poor customer service, they enjoy so much impunity from the government, so they don't care about you.
New development is here when I see that more airlines are springing up, so the market is being competitive.

Nice airport, but for arrivals, there was a lack of signage directing you to baggage claim. Arrived at 130am due to delay and there was no one around to direct us.
Small airport. Fairly clean. Some nice shops to buy those last minute souvenirs from Nova Scotia. Plus, this is the only airport I've ever seen where you can buy live lobster π¦ to take home with you on your flight!
This is a cute little airport. It's kept very clean. They have giant rotating doors at the entrance which is very cool. The signs for international travel were a little confusing as there is a section upstairs and downstairs. The restrooms were spacious. Our flight was on time.
Quick process to check in with automated system. If you cannot navigate the automation, there is someone there yo help you. No one likes the security screening - leave an extra hour to go through this. Took me 4x passes through the metal detection system before security asked if I had any implants! Safety shoes? Yes, they set off warnings as well. Seems off security did not know or understand green safety tag on my shoes. Had socks inspected. Not sure why. Drone sent through 3x times before they asked to open and inspect. My carry on bags fit the weight and size restrictions. Not sure about the other passengers bcarrt on, however they still carried on.
Flew Porter - very nice staff on board and on ground. Are the seats getting smaller or am I getting bigger? Enough said.
Great services , flew from halifax to toronto and Toronto to halifax, flights were on time and was easy to navigate.
