I’m glad I found a great Asian Restaurant in Halifax and possibly the best Vietnamese one.
My friends had their signature Bun Bo Hue and they felt it was amazing. The broth and the meat felt nicely balanced in flavour.
I had a Chicken Stir Fry with Vegetables and Rice and it checked all boxes for me.
We followed these with the Deep Fried Banana With Ice Cream and even that was great combination.
The winner for me was the Vietnamese Coffee. The way it is made is interesting in its own but the flavour was better than any other Cold Brew I’ve ever had. Pardon my language but this was Pho-king amazing.
Another Gem of Halifax easily.

Always delicious, we've eaten here so many times now. This is our go-to place to eat Pho and Vietnamese food.
It's not just the amazingly tasty food though, great service and a clean restaurant help as well.

The food is tasty and delicious. I like their pho. The broth is a bit light but just right for me. The service is friendly. And the price is reasonable.

The pho bbq pork with extra meat and broccoli was excellent. The broccoli was small enough to be eaten in one bite and tender without being overcooked (or raw, which is so often the case). Service was very pleasant and not pushy. I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in Halifax and my university son will be coming here often.

The Missus and I along with our travelling Maritimes group tried Pho Maniac after our downtown Halifax boardwalk. We were pleasantly surprised at the taste of the food. Prices are more or less to what we are used to on the West Coast. Definitely would recommend for a change of pace.

Super delicious. Probably one of the best pho restaurant I've been to. The soup was so flavorful and not too salty unlike many places. The noodle was perfectly cooked - not too soggy and not too hard. The BBQ chicken tasted so good, with a tinge of sweetness and flavors marinated within. Waitress was friendly and it had good vibes. Highly recommend and would come back again!

i don’t eat pho a lot but i tried their popular “pho maniac” here and loved it! the broth was delicious and so were the chunks of beef. my girlfriend had a shrimp pho and she really loved hers as well! there’s lots of seating in a spacious laid back atmosphere and our server was very pleasant :) it’s very reasonably priced (my regular sized bowl was around 14$ and a pretty decent portion size!) and there are also other kinds of food you can try too, like noodle and rice dishes. i am excited to come back and try another kind of pho sometime soon!

Fantastic food. I got the BBQ special and my wife had the spicy beef stir fry and they were both excellent. Friendly staff and reasonable prices as well.

Honestly the best and most authentic Vietnamese restaurant in the entire city!!!
We love the pho here, and honestly the bun bo hue is so comforting and delicious, I could just drink the broth itself!
The banh mi is done very well, great variety in meats for options.
If the restaurant was open later than 8, that would honestly push it over the edge ! I get that staff is limited, so service could improve, but it's only because it increasingly gets more and more busy (of course, it's delicious!!)
Coming from a viet, this place is definitely close to home cooking!!
Highly recommend it to anybody looking for viet GOOD food.

I’m new to Vietnamese food and this was first time trying pho. Mind blown!! Never knew it could be so tasty. Ordered a chicken and beef tender pho, regular size was fulfilling, portion, taste , spice , broth was excellent. Even sauces were perfect combination and tried chopsticks for first time. It’s busy enough at lunch time but no great wait times, so good for an office lunch , would def recommend to anyone. The place looks small but is spacious enough inside , and think I saw just 1 waiter but definitely service is great. Was a pleasant surprise and nice cuisine.

When you walk in you will enjoy the space, natural lighting and comfortable setting. We just went for the $10 PHO and fresh rolls, prompt service and the food came fast. The PHO looked delicious and we were so hungry that we forgot to take a picture.of the yummy food. We only remember to take pictures after we consumed all the food. For sure we will visit the PHO MANIAC again.
An Alarming Amount Of Oranges
The food is very very good. The pho is some of the best I have had in my life. Their pad thai is also fantastic. The portions don't look huge but there is more than it initially appeared. They have a huge range of options and everything in their pho is gluten free except for the BBQ pork. Which is way better than usual. I want to try their won ton soup very badly as I saw them bring it out to someone else and it smelled and looked incredible. Will definitely be coming back

The broth is so good. The BBQ pork and rice is a bit dry. Recommended for Pho. Its regular size is small. I will suggest getting a large size for adults.

Pho Maniac is clean, relaxing and a great place to eat Vietnamese foods.👍 Very yummy pho soup noodle tasted delicious.🍜😋 They have Vegetable and meat spring rolls are my favorites. I love most of the foods on the menu. Also a friendly restaurant owner with a delightful service. Will be back again for more tasty foods. If you still haven't tried the foods here, I highly recommend for everyone.👍🙂

My friends and I were there last night. Everyone loved their food! The chili oil was amazing. The noodles - I loved how they weren't thick pho noodles, they were my favorite part. OH and the waitress has AMAZING taste in music!! We will be going back again and again and again.

BEST Bun bo Hue....Being an International Private Chef ( chefgarrin on insta & FB ) I am extremely picky by fault.... this restaurant is very roomy, clean and friendly. Service was effecient and friendly.... family run businesses are invested in success, and this one deserves lots of success.... the pork Spring Rolls tasted fantastic but lacking in the plating department, only needs a bit more color on the plate for some POP!. The Bun bo Hue broth was deep and I could pick up on every ingredient that went into it. The variety of beef, 3 types, and the home made sliced Vietnamese sausage were abundant and very flavorful. The owner says the sausage is made in house. I added some of their house made chili crisp oil to my bowl as I like it HOT!. I looked around to see what the Pho looked like and it was looking great, many customers were ordering the special beef pho so that's my choice for the next visit. This is now my favorite spot for Bun bo Hue, if you love pho then please try it's big brother Bun bo Hue.
