i called the restaurant and ordered mapo tofu and steamed rice for delivery. i asked if i could get mapo tofu with no pork and i could! the guy on the phone and the guy who delivered it were super nice and the food was delicious and super hot when it arrived!!!! mapo tofu is my favorite dish and of all the places i've tried here, they did it best. i recommend the restaurant and this dish!

It is not fancy, overly decorated, or stylish. The place offers great food, incredible service, and
delivers.
Have been eating at Jean's for eight years. The prices are more than reasonable, the portions are large and the food is delicious.

Really happy with my first order of a combination plate from this restaurant. The combination plate 1 has fried rice, Jean’s sour & sweet chicken (love it) and egg roll. The size of the portion is large which I like very much and price is fair.

Great bunch of folks and the food was good. I like that you can get combo plates , single plates or dinners for 2,3 etc..the General Tao was combo was plenty on its own..bit got a beef dish as well..would go again for sute

I won't say the Chow Mein we tried were authentic, but still taste good!! Super big portion, me and my boyfriend couldn't finish one single Chow Mein!

The food is amazing. If you go don’t be put off by the appearance and give it a try. Everything I have tried over the years tastes great and the prices are excellent. If I had to complain it would be the spicy options are not spicy enough even when you ask them to turn it up to 11.

Jeans Chinese food is delicious, inexpensive, and fast. I’ve been recently eating here for about a month now and I can say it’s definitely a new favourite of mine. The lunch specials are all amazing, I will be trying more menu options as keep attending. Many are saying the place itself isn’t the best looking, although that may be true, it is NOT dirty. The interior is home-like and comforting. I love this place!

I’ve been ordering from Jean’s for 20 years and the value is still the best in the city. Large tasty portions, packaged well, and they’ve pretty much never messed up an order (I order once a week). Tonight I tried their Shanghai noodles for the first time (delicious by the way) and they sent me a handwritten note telling me how to order them for a cheaper price the next time (hint: add them to the combo). I was very surprised but grateful at this small act of kindness and thoughtfulness. I even had my kids read the note so we could talk about how small gestures can have big impacts. Thank you Dawn and thank you Jean’s!

Just got take out. 5 dishes, veggy lomein, wonton noodles soup, beef brocolli, pad thai, vegetable chow mein. All the dishes absolutely disgusting. I just got out of surgery and have to drive home all the way to past Lunenburg. We chucked all the food in the garbage bin down the road, except managed to eat some wonton soup out of desperation. 2 dishes smelled funky, another was all salt and soya sauce, vegetables soggy, nothing tasted authentic... etc. I was very hungry having not eaten in almost 24 hours. My partner too couldn't stomach it. We better not get ill from this garbage. Have lived in Toronto , Washington DC, Boston, Montreal etc. Just horrible food here, and if you liked it check your blood pressure because you'll need to with that amount of salt. With so many good choices in the city this place is not worth the risk.

The best Chineese Food in the Maritimes! Love the Kung Pao Chicken!! Might not be a place for Ambience lovers but the food absolutely rocks!! The quality and serving portion is very high!! Denefinetly a food paradise for chineese food lovers!

I’ve eaten at Jeans for years and the foods been going down hill. My wife and I just got the lunch special ginger beef and lunch special chicken balls and they were both awful. The chicken balls were bland and the ginger beef had an disgusting freezer burnt taste. We won’t be back.

Gross! Honestly the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. The S&S chicken balls are 95% batter and an odd colour. The chicken is chewy. The rice has an odd Smokey taste to it as well. Really disappointed.

I ordered for myself at work, and was charged the $3.50 extra for delivery which is fine even though it being 0.2km away is a bit extreme. But I didn't order enough and that's their policy, however I shouldn't have to pay that extra when the driver is already coming to my location with another delivery. They also forgot the plum sauce I requested and the egg rolls were tough and had a burnt taste to them. I did call an hour before they closed but food should still have some type of consistency. And when I called to ask about my missing items... they wouldn't answer the phone because it was to close to their closing time.

Great for take out and comparatively cheaper than many other places in the area. Always fresh and they give plenty of food. However, this isn't the best place to dine in or if you are looking for authentic Chinese food.

We ordered food YESTERDAY for lunch today for our staff, just as a heads up so they would be prepared to get it to us on time. We got all arrangements made with them, placed the order. Waiting for it to arrive today - no show. So we called - oops we forgot - we took the order, but then it got misplaced! There goes our lunch plans for the day, and all of the special arrangements for extra long lunch break. Idiots.

Tonight at 8:13 pm I have ordered my combo #1 & 3. This is the same combos Ive been ordering for over 8 years. It is now 10:22 pm and I have cancelled the order because my food has not arrived. I am in the restaurant business and I know that you can't expect customers to pay for an order after an hours wait. You must suck up the loss and keep the customers happy so they will return. 10 yrs ag I said I would never return to Reflections Caberet because of terrible service. I have held true to my word. I wont be ordering from Jeans Chinese again.

We ordered 4 combos tonight, waited over an hour for the food to be delivered and then noticed one combo was incorrect. When we called back to get the correct order the person on the phone basically blamed us and told us it would be sent out ASAP but we would have to give back the incorrect order. We waited 30 minutes and still no food so I drove down to pick it up. They said it was already gone with the driver so I drove back home and waited 10 minutes before they showed up. I usually love jeans but now our food is cold and it's been 2 hours since we ordered and no apology or compensation!
