After exploring downtown Halifax we found this gem and highly recommend you go! Our small party had pasta (kids menu spaghetti &
Meatballs), salad (goat cheese fritter) and pizza (pepperoni) and all were delicious and prompt. The wait staff, atmosphere and food worth every penny

Really good pizza (please try the Delicatessen!). The Caesar salad wasn't for me (not enough bacon bits or parmesan and the dressing/vinaigrette was bland).
The atmosphere is nice; however, the booths are a little wobbly. My seat moved whenever the people in the booth behind me got up and sat down.

We stopped by here on a whim and it was delicious! I was honestly blown away by my goat cheese salad. My husband got the Hawaiian Pizza and it was an elevated and delicious dish! Great for kids too.

Had dinner here tonight with three old friends. The server was lovely - she told me her name and sadly I forgot - and super attentive. We ordered a couple of pizzas to share (both fabulous; the pear and the delicatessen I think they were called), a salad and a bottle of wine. All very good. And the atmosphere was quiet enough we could have a conversation! There were others on either side of us but the acoustics are such that folks don't feel the need to yell. I would definitely recommend this neighbour treasure.

We came here today to get takeout upon request of the birthday guy who said the pizza here is his favourite. The lady who took our order and brought our food out to us was extremely professional and kind. having her as the first person your customers deal with is a very smart move. she is great at her job. in addition to the great service the mushroom pizza was absolutely delicious and my son loved his "italian job" pizza. our dessert was good too. This most special occasion was made even more enjoyable thanks to our experience here! we will be back

Without a doubt one of the best restaurant in Halifax and amazing service with beautiful interior decor and clean atmosphere and nice and clean cozy chairs, tables.
The food is absolutely delicious and tasty specially their pizza is damn good. I highly recommend you to give it a try and Morris surly won’t disappoint you.

this is my new favourite pizza place in halifax! the pizza here is so so good! i had their vegan pizza and it was absolutely delicious. it was so flavourful and in the best way. their menu has so many different options anyone who likes pizza would 100% be able to find something here. it is a little bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for.

Lovely spot. Service was excellent. Nice decor & comfortable vibe for a date night. The food was delicious, although the pizza was not very hot, felt like it had been sitting a while before it made it to our table. Other that, awesome experience.

The pizza here is good, albeit a bit pricey, but the water glasses are ridiculously small- more like a shot glass. The restaurant would be wise to provide larger water glasses, and also offer ice (drinking water was served warm). There is a very limited dessert selection- the restaurant would likely benefit by offering more dessert options as this is a location where many might venture specifically for late night dessert.

My husband and I were really disappointed this morning to hear that Morris East (Nine Mile Drive) decided to cancel their weekend brunch, as this was one of our favourite weekend brunch spots. We get that it wasn't exactly a money-maker and that restaurants have to make business decisions. But why even open at 11am if there isn't brunch? Then our server offered us a skillet option for brunch (again, confusing, why have only one option when brunch is cancelled?), which we thought was great, until our server informed us that it no longer comes with the roasted potatoes (it normally comes with a side salad, garlic bread, and roasted potatoes). I honestly don't understand why there is one brunch option that included less food at the exact same price.
Not only did we pay the same amount for less food, but the chef also forgot to put the bacon in our skillets. Our server was honestly so sweet, she brought side dishes of bacon right away (and made sure we had lots of coffee!), but our experience at Morris East was definitely less than impressive. We consider ourselves regulars who recommend the restaurant to friends & family, so we hope that Morris East can figure out some solutions.

Just had THE best server whom recommended the perfect pairing local beer and local wine for a mussels and prime rib Dinner! Larry Uteck location (didn't catch the name) Superb! ��Local! Garrison beer pale ale (amazing) and a red wine but then they also brought samples of the sweet and sour and another ale, all local, truly amazing!

Our waitress... I wished I New her name but she was fabulous. Everything she recommended to us was delicious. Would definitely go back... only thing is I would have liked a bit more of a variety in their menu... there feature food I guess would be their pizza

My wife and I visited this restaurant and loved loved loved the pizza and the cocktails were amazing . The mushroom pizza my wife ordered was incredible , the crust simply amazing . I had the Lumberjack pizza with maple syrup drizzle , sounds strange but incredible flavour , not super sweet either and the crust again simply amazing . The staff were super attentive and awesome , definitely be back next time in the area

Delicious food, and the margherita pizza is above and beyond perfect. And the caramel tart is a sublime dessert (the dash of Atlantic sea salt is brilliant). I highly recommend Morris East Restaurant! :-)

Food was great. We had the pizza of the day with sausage, apples and onions. Amazing. I had my 3 small children with me, the place is not really appropriate for children, it's just too small but the staff was very gracious and found them crayons and paper. The kids lives their cheese pizza also. Really reasonable prices for the quality of ingredients too.

I will start with the positive- the appetizer was delicious! Our issue was the service and how long it took to get our food. Our waitress was pleasant, but did not check in with us often or give us any explanation for why our food wasn't out yet when we had been waiting for over an hour. It took so long we had to leave for another engagement and took the food to go. I ended up eating the pizza cold on the way home hours later. We were not impressed and not sure if we go back again.

Stopped in at the Larry Uteck location on a whim August 12th, and we are so glad we did! We each ordered a main (the maple glazed salmon and the braised short ribs) and shared the cappuccino cheesecake. All of it was so amazing, and we plan on coming back for the pizza you have won accolades for (and to try another amazing dessert!).

Service is always stellar. You really should make a reservation, was careless to not make one on a Saturday night...but we got squeezed in. Always a great meal. Dessert wasn't quite up to the Stellar Standards we are used to there, but delicious none the less
