I went here before but now they have a new cook. I think he's Korean, an older guy, who is super adorable and friendly. His cooking is way better. Everything tastes like it should with proper portions. I ordered the chicken with pineapple and rice for the second time. Excellent!

The team works well together. I've come many times and have never been disappointed. The service is incredibly friendly and professional. The cook is a keeper!!! I remember them advising my boyfriend on the right noodle to pick for his meal.

This location is really a hit or miss. But, I’d like to mention that this particular day was my favourite.
The perfect amount of spice, fast service (even when the place had a lineup), and the quantity was amazing!
(Also - YOU CAN ASK FOR IT IN A BOWL FOR AN EXTRA $0.50)
I seen a lot of negative comments here which I can agree, they have their bad days. But I’ve been to this location a lot and have had more good days then bad.
In fact, I always get a good quantity at this location.

Showed up at 17:15 to pick up some food before attending a local event. There was no one at the counter when I showed up. I waited a few minutes, but no one appeared, so I had to find something else to eat.
Unfortunately, I'm having to add to my review, identifying the same problem I had the last time. This time it was my son inlaw, my daughter and myself. We showed up at 5:20 pm on Saturday Dec 16 2023 to have supper before the Mooseheads game and were told by staff on arrival that they were closed. I double checked the closing time on Google, and although it was definitely wrong, there were several businesses open serving customers. I have never had an issue with the quality of the food, but their hours of operation is anyone's guess.

Food was fast and hot and service was friendly. Love how many veggie options they have now. I found the portions small for what you got. Over $11 for small tofu Pad Thai.

I’ve had this place for dinner twice in a row, both times the food was spectacular. Chicken fried rice spicy Thai style. I would recommend this dish to anybody.

Delicious food, it's fast food that tastes and is portioned like restaurant food. Thai express is more of a Canadian Thai food but it is fantastic considering the price and the huge portions you get. You'll get enough food to feed two people for 13 bucks!
I recommend: General Thai Chicken.
10.58 for about a pound of chicken tons of rice in a delicious sauce of either Mild(not spicy) Medium or Hot 👍

Make the best veggie pad thai! Always follow instruction, friendly staff. Food made here is more delicious than other thai express locations in Halifax.

I got Hooked on this place when I was living in Winnipeg and can not get enough of it. The folks are amazing here and have always been a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend this place, the food is to die for!

Had such a disappointing order of chicken pad Thai tonight. Picked it up and took it home only to realize there was barely any Thai sauce on it. The noodles were still white and it tasted like nothing. Seems to be a regular thing when I order from the Duke street location � However, the Thai express in the shopping centre is always delicious !
