Sad to see burger week is over! Should really put the smash burger on your menu! Managed to eat 8 burgers in 7 days. Best burger by far was at Clay West Bar & Grill! Actually had to go back there twice!! Service was amazing even though it was obviously busy due to burger week. Definitely worth the wait. The staff were great!
We really love coming here, the food has been excellent every time and we've tried many things on the menu. The staff is super friendly and service is quick. My personal favorites are the lasagna, hot turkey poutine and the fish and chips (nice and crispy!).
Me and my boyfriend had an amazing time there last night! We were looking for a bite to eat before going to the movies, and we wanted to go to a place we've both never been too. Making the choice to come in here for supper was the best decision!
The service was great, the drinks were colorful and tasty, the food completely blew my mind! It's been a long while since me and my boyfriend have gone out to eat, and literally cleaned our plates.
We will definitely be back!

There were 8 of us and we all liked our food. Waitress was awesome....her name was Stacy.
The service was good. The food so so. My fries were almost burnt. The meal was half a rack of ribs. My husband had a club house sandwich. The sandwhich was hard. He had mashed potatoes instead of fries. The booth behind us, i heard the male say his food was excellent. We went Friday night Feb 28 around 7 the place was not very busy. I will try again. The fish and chips looked good.
Very nice food and service! The price was decent and I do enjoy the atmosphere there!

Went to Clay West today because of their name of the day promotion. (Free 1lb of wings if your name matches the name of the day new name every Tuesday and Wednesday Bring ID &dine in only) anyways crazy promotion wasn't expecting much but my goodness I was pleasantly surprised! wings came out piping hot and dredged in a very nice smoky BBQ flavour! I got a side of fries (asked for extra crispy) they came to the table at the same time as the wings, and were hot and very crispy!
The service was Friendly and excellent, my water never reached the bottom of the glass! I find it too bad how Clay West often slips my mind mostly because of it's location at the end of the business park. I've been there multiple times the food is always good and the service is great! The atmosphere isn't fantastic usually a little quite, it's dark and gloomy which I think a brighter paint would really liven up the place! It's a great local business, and I will be back again! I urge people who have read this far to stop reading and start driving here!

I'm very pleasantly surprised how fast the service was and the fish n chips was excellent. I enjoyed the old school atmosphere and music. Jeani was very friendly and gave great service and food and beer selections. My kind of place will definitely be back.
Visually, this place doesn't look like much inside, but once you get the food in your mouth, you realize looks don't matter at all. My burger and fries were served hot and were delicious. One of the best burgers in town. Wait staff are always friendly as well.
Yesterday my sister and a friend and I had lunch here. I had eaten here in the past but have since moved away. We loved the music and food. The service was great and friendly staff, Angela was very accommodating. I had bacon and peanut butter hamburger and fries, mr sister has steak and fries, which she sent back for a hamburger instead. Steak was grissly and not to her liking . The server was great about it. Thanked us for letting them know. Our friend had a salad. We all loved our meals and had dessert of coconut cream pie, amazing. I had homemade ice cream and sauce. We are definitely coming back. We ending up staying there two hours. Next time I am in the city I will be there. Also have told many people of our experience. Glad to see you are still operating in Halifax. Thanks for hiring great servers and cooks.
Best breakfast food I've had in ages. Secret Benny Sauce is to die for. The breakfast burger was gone before I could take a picture of it, even the home fries that came with it were spiced to perfection. Good company, excellent food. Goo here.
Came here for a promotion on ribs. The ribs were very tasty and not overcooked. The sauce was awesome. Would definitely have them again. Did not expect the food to be as good as it was. Also got to finish half of someone else's chicken sandwich which was also delicious
They used to have the most delicious seafood chowder. I wish they would bring it back. That's sad the burgers are homemade fries are delicious and they've got a healthy selection of local beers on tap. Great spot stop that isn't a chain restaurant.
Just had the Classic burger for lunch and it was delicious. Frieds were cooked and seasoned well. Quick service, personable, better than edible. Recommend if you want a lunch that hits the spot in Bayers Lake.
The food is decent and comes out fresh and hot. If you're in a hurry for a quick pub food meal in the Bayers Lake area, this is a good choice - a better choice than any of the chain restaurant options. None of the food is earth shattering but it will be cooked perfectly and served with a smile by some pleasant staff.
My partner and I came for the eggs benny promo and were super happy with everything! Great service, amazing boozy coffees, and the food was very nice!
I regret reading some of these reviews, and while I understand other people may have a different experience I dont understand how they could be so critical over a free offer. Jumping Jehoshaphat!

I have eaten here a few times in the past few years and most recently this past weekend. Food was delicious, hot and flavorful. The place was big and clean with tons of seating and the staff were very nice. I would recommend Clay West Bar & Grill for anyone looking for a great meal at a great price.
