Really excited to see such a lovely queer space right downtown :) I was really looking forward to checking out Glitter Bean and I wasn't disappointed - the staff are super friendly and unlike a lot of other coffee places in the city there is tons of space to sit down! Such a positive, spacious place, I'll be back!!

I am so excited for this space to open up. Literally going to be the place where revolutions are planned and strategized <3

I know many of the baristas who work here have always been some of the best and most supportive folks for creating welcoming and inclusive spaces. I am so excited that this new cafe will be finally run by the right folks <3 I am so excited for this opening <3 It is so important and so valuable to have a queer centered space like this new coffee shop <3

A wonderful spot to get great coffee (the glitter is optional) from friendly queers & they also sell prints, little zines, and patches. I was excited to find a cafe in Halifax where I can feel comfortable and not questioned as there's definitely not an abundance of trans inclusive (and trans focused :)) spaces. There's gender neutral washrooms, plant milk for your coffee, and a really friendly and positive atmosphere so there's no reason for me to ever go for coffee elsewhere when I'm in Hfx.

Adorable place with a very charming atmosphere. Unfortunately, their Sold Out signs on their chalk menus aren't always kept up-to-date throughout the day, so as a result I've only had drinks there so far...but that dosen't stop them from making delicious lattes. The staff can occasionally be hit-or-miss for speed (think getting distracted and sometimes waiting a few minutes to start your drink, if there's no pressure from a line-up behind you.) but I think that's mostly due to some of them being VERY young and still getting their footing, so I really don't mind. They're also always very friendly and the spot has their 'Queer safe-space' reputation for a reason - its the perfect spot for a peaceful breath.

Had an amazing experience at the Glitter Bean. Wonderful service, great food and drinks. I had the cheese and green onion scone, which is huge, and it was delicious. I also got the Fairy Latte, and it was very good, though it was more about the fancy sparkles. My companions both had the sour cherry lemonade, one flat, one fizzy and both were simply amazing. Will definitely be back to the Glitter Bean!

An absolute gem of a place. Excellent food, excellent drinks! We had the grilled cheese and the samosa - everything amazing, even their takeout. Chai latte and fairy latte are amazeballs. We'll definitely return and make this a regular stop, even if outside our neighborhood.

The best cafe and queer safe space in all of Halifax. Amazing coffee options and the entire atmosphere is so welcoming. The staff is also so incredible and friendly. Menu favorites: blueberry tea, iced oat chai latte, iced mocha, citrus glazed sugar cookies, veggie samosa, and anything with edible glitter!

A quintessential queer space for the coolest & hottest of coffee lovers! I’ve never had a drink or treat from the Bean that I didn’t change my life for the better, the baristas have perfect recommendations anytime I’m indecisive, & everything from the decorations & special events to the lovely consignment store upstairs make me want to come back every day. But what really prompted me to leave a review was the veggie bagel sandwich I had today that filled a void I didn’t even know existed. Next time you’re craving a silly drink & snack, you know where to go !!!!! <3

One of my favorite spots in Kjipuktuk! Glitter Bean is a welcoming "chill space" for many queer people in the area. Masks are required while ordering– this small gesture makes a HUGE positive difference to immunocompromised folks like myself. Lots of dairy free and locally sourced options for food and drink. Highly recommend the shop-exclusive Fairy Latte and the ol' faithful Iced Chai Latte. The staff are lovely and the vibes in here are fantastic! [Edit: the space is wheelchair accessible I didn't know!! Sorry about that]

Adorable coffee shop in the spring garden area. The service was good with great recommendations on product. There is a sitting area inside also with proof of vaccination. I ordered the Fairy Latte and it was full of flavours. I recommend this stop if you’re looking for a hot beverage or pastry.

This is a beautiful cafe. Pink walls and incredibly spacious. You can add colour and glitter to every beverage for a small fee and I love this. It makes your beverage a little more fun. Pixie lattes, if you will. My sister and I both tried the Fairy Latte, a rooibos tea latte with vanilla, colour and glitter. So fun and tasty.

Where else can you find a fabulous fairy latte but at Glitter Bean? I love mine with almond milk. Also, the upstairs deck is a hidden gem, I didn’t discover that it was open until this week!

As a university student, I'm here pretty often with my friends to study. Amazing vibes, great music, funny baristas, plus there's a thrift store upstairs now. Love having a queer space nearby :)
