We tried different combination plates and almost all of them were good. Only nit-pick was that the general tao chicken was a bit too sweet. Got to know I can request it to be more spicy next time. Our server was super nice and thanks to her we had a great time!
On another note:
I’ve been here a few times and have my memories associated with this place. This is not the best chinese food place and it doesn’t have to be.
It feels more like a throwback restaurant to me where I can go have a decent chinese (Canadian) meal for a reasonable price, in a supremely clean and quite dining space. Sometimes being simple can be quite difficult and this place aces that.

Delicious Chinese food! Service is fast and very friendly. My friends and I had been buying good food at Silver Dragon for 6 years now. You should try the food and see how good it is specially how friendly all their staff are. The place is also clean and relaxing.

The customer service was phenomenal. The place is cozy and nostalgic, and the food is extremely delicious!! Feels like a movie set. As a person who worked in a neighbourhood staple- I know one when I see one. And this is it. Run don’t walk! Come on over!

I was very hesitant to go here but I'm glad I did. The food was well priced for the portions and tasted great. The server was friendly and remembered everything. Definitely will be going back.

The service was good I was seated fast the waitress was very nice and the food came out fast and was delicious. It also very affordable for Chinese food. Would definitely come again!!

We did take out. Was 20 minutes for pick up. Waitress was efficient and friendly. Had a nice decore. Food was still hot when we got home. We both had #6 combo plates. Food was flavourful. Portions were big. Ate it for 2 meals and still spent son home with rice n chowmain. I will eat there again!

I’ve been eating here since I was a kid in the 80’s! Silver Dragon is a staple of the north end and the last OG. I love the chicken balls and almond guy ding is the best! When other restaurants now give smaller portions since covid inflation, Silver Dragon still gives a huge filling combo :)
For the people from Ontario complaining about the “weird” egg rolls, you sound dumb because this is how they’re made in Halifax. Every Chinese-Canadian restaurant in the province makes them this way (meat paste) and we LOVE it. Before you leave a bad review, consider that you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about, this isn’t Scarborough.

Truly a hidden gem in Halifax. Food was excellent and the owners genuinely friendly. The Yong chow fried rice was quite fabulous.

Good food! My favorite is the shanghai noddles especially their egg rolls. I havent tasted food whom as good as them. weve tried from diff. Chinese restaurant before. This so far is our favorite. A Must try. So far our fav. Place to order food. You wont dissappoint when it comes to the portion of food. The owner is very nice.

Been going here for years, it's my favourite place to eat in Halifax. I've never had a bad experience. Go there couple times a month. The owners are very friendly people who are welcoming, its nice to chat with them. I'd give it 10 stars.

Your food has definitely gone down hill but that's not even the issue. People we all know Chinese food is the new years eve popular dish, the wait is expected but don't lie about the time. If it's 2 hours then say it will take 2 hours. I was told 45 minutes, gave you an hour. Showed up not ready, 15 more minutes you said, lie again. It took an hour and 55 minutes. Just tell us on the phone. Should have started charging you for my time. Ridiculous. Just tell the truth on the phone. Everyone there was upset and all you had to do was be real. To bad.
