Review The Daily Grind Cafe - Halifax

Bagel was awesome, but had two issues, that changed my impression.... First timer I believe in giving everyone a second chance, returned one week later for awesome bagel and for me , a breakfast wrap, service was much better and the wrap was so stuffed with peppers ( all 3 colors ) very filling, I had to take half home...coffee and Chai latte were ready quickly. As such , they redeemed themselves. And rating changed accordingly... But , leaving my initial post of my first visit, as it definitely needed improving upon. I had just a double fudge brownie, and the one I was initially given was half the size of the one in the front of the showcase, she changed out upon my request, but was not with a smile or pleasant... Secondly, my friends coffee was given immediately, and I was told mine would be down the counter when ready ..pumpkin spice latte ( quite good, in house syrup, they posted)... the loaded cooked breakfast bagel came to the table, coffee half drank, and kept standing at the counter waiting... While she made it, a co-worker came and they engaged in chit chat , while she slowly made my latte... And took another order from a customer who came back for another booze latte... Soured my experience... Great food...but the service was very uncaring.... Too bad one gives the tip upfront these days, I want mine back !

Very spacious and bright spot for coffee and eats, with indoor and outdoor seating. Grabbed a quick Iced Americano here and sat outside for a bit. Very calm vibes.

best coffee ive had in while! my sister and I really enjoyed the breakfast sandwich and chicken pesto sandwich.

Great service, lots of seating. Coffee and breakfast food were delicious I. I had the classic breakfast on the bagel and it was very tasty!

Love this spot. Huge windows let in tons of natural light and give you a great view as you enjoy fresh coffee and a nice variety of edibles. We had the Chipotle Chicken Club and The Western Wrap which were both delicious. We went with regular drip coffee but they have lots of other choices. Please give this place a try.

Just had a pour over. It was delicious and the atmosphere was a comfortable break on a busy day. Visited again... ...same friendly service and delicious coffee.

This was a really cute spot for a coffee break while walking along the waterfront! Loved their London fog and treats! The vibe is awesome and staff were nice!

Nice cozy spot for good espresso. Friendly staff, customizable coffee drinks. Like the variety of seating options, gives neighborhood feel without feeling tired. Recommended.

Great place, and amazing service from Osha who is welcoming and service with a smile. I took my son for breakfast over the weekend because it was so great but Osha was off duty and the service was appalling, we were told we can’t get cutlery with our food because they are out, its a pity I had paid already else I would have told them my card was out! We will only go during the week for great service and food now!

Great coffee! Awesome little cafe. Only compliant was the music was super loud sitting by the cafe bar.

MUST have their bagel breakfast sandwich. So delicious. seriously amazing. The smoothie bowl and coffee were just ok. The patio looks onto the ocean and a parking lot.

The tea was delicious and atmosphere is absolutely wonderful. I used to go to your Spring Garden cafe. I love your new location! We will be back, sooner than later.

Tremendous food, quiet ambiance and courteous and friendly staff...like stopping at your mother's for an afternoon break or a morning coffee
