Food: absolutely awesome. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Everything on the menu looks very good. I was sipping the broth at the bottom of the bowl. Will definitely be back.
Service: The service was excellent and extremely polite. Excellent.
Atmosphere: It's a very small space. They do a good job working is such a tight area. I personally like to have some privacy while dining and not he so close to other customers. Is what it is here, but I would not let that stop me from coming back. Everything else is perfect.

While the chicken karaage at this ramen spot fell short of expectations with an average taste, the chicken ramen in pork soup was a standout. The rich broth complemented the tender chicken perfectly. However, the real star was the potato korokke – a crispy exterior revealing a creamy, well-seasoned interior. Despite the mixed performance, the standout potato korokke made the overall dining experience memorable.

Came here on Natal Day. Fortunately not too busy and quickly found a spot.
We all tried different items. I tried the Yaki Udon which I also tried here on an earlier visit. It was good as expected by unfortunately it was quite oily to my surprise which sort of suppressed the taste for me. Not bad but not great either.
Other than that everything else was great. All my friends enjoyed their meal. The quantity is great for the price.
I’ll still probably come again to try other options but hope they improve the Yaki Udon as that used to be my favourite.

My one of the favorite place for veg ramen noodles. I also tried two more veg options. Outstanding flavours. On each table in dinning area, they have a chilli oil, dry garlic flacks and pickled ginger. You can also ask for extra chilli if you like spicy kick.

Decided to try ramen for the first time. I been putting it off for years as it just doesn’t wow me whenever I look at pictures of it or read about it. Since I live next door I decided to support local. The atmosphere was great, the service was splendid and the food was prepared in a flash. I got a Sapporo beer to wash it all down. The food was flavourful and extremely fresh. After trying ramen I can say I’m not a fan of the style of meal it is. It was nothing to do with this place as they seem extremely knowledgeable and serve up a great ramen but as I stated… not my thing. If you like ramen I suggest trying this place. For myself this was a one time experience.

Excellent ramen. Got the tantanmen as it's my go-to and this did not disappoint. Rich and flavourful, eggs were excellent, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. Recommend getting an extra egg and the broth extra spicy. It's not overwhelming and adds extra flavour. I went in the middle of the afternoon on a sunny day because I had a craving, but every time I've gone the service is super quick and the atmosphere is lively but quiet enough to have a meaningful conversation. Definitely a great spot on a rainy day or in the winter months.

Pretty cozy space with not a lot of seating, so keep that in mind if you have a larger group attending.
Their vegetarian ramen is delicious, so flavorful and loaded with toppings. They also offer a tasty korokke (croquette) if you're looking for a veggie appetizer. The tables each have some additional toppings as well if you want to kick it up a notch.
I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of options for Japanese brews and liquors - their sake was smooth and tasty - nothing fancy, but just nice to have the option available on a cold day.
Would recommend checking it out if you have an itch for ramen in the downtown core.

Buta ramen can provide you a decent lunch in downtown area.
Parking is always a problem, the restaurant is tiny, a bit crowded while sitting. Service is good, quick to take the order and the food is quick to be served. The ramen is very tasty. Snack side dishes are yummy too. The dry garlic on the side is very good but the red pickle ginger is not as good as I expected.

We came from Toronto and we have to admit it does taste very good for Ramen in Halifax. The only improvement point is the eggs - they are too close to hard boil.

One of the best ramen restaurants I’ve been too, I got the spicy ground pork ramen with medium spice, the chicken karage and the matcha cheese cake with tea. Was amazing, spice level was perfect and the flavor was amazing. Will recommend to anyone who wants good ramen in Halifax!

I’ve tried local noodle bistros on my trips to Japan and Korea. The noodle bowls here taste more sliding on the Korean side IMAO. Don’t get me wrong; it’s still good for the flavours and portions. It’s spicy yum and ramen’s chewy in texture. Just may flip the experience slightly if you’re expecting something more Japanese.

Came here hoping I could get some food similar to back home, it was nice but isn't the same taste (atleast for the tantanmen) so all in all it's a solid restaurant and semi fills your craving for japanese food.
Prices are a bit high but nothing insanely high, keep in mind that if you like your food on the spicy side the provided chili oil probably won't be enough so ask for the food to be made spicy.
Atmosphere is really nice and comfortable came here with a vegetarian friend who had quite a few options to pick from.

I'm a Japanese. I ate a miso ramen here. You can choose from two types of noodles. You can also choose the level of spiciness. The soup and meat are delicious, although not exactly the same as Japanese ramen. The price is twice as expensive as in Japan, but I am satisfied with the taste as a taste of eating in a foreign country.

Just had Christmas Eve lunch and it was awesome! My husband and I both had the seafood and porkbelly ramen. I was very impressed with the fact that the octopus rings were nice and soft. Nothing worse then chewy octopus. Our waiter was very attentive and asked numerous times if we were enjoying the food and if we needed anything else.

I had to add some text to this review because I was shocked by the amount of 1 star reviews. I've been there twice, food and service was great. I'm not sure what happened on jan 27th and 28th that caused people to rate this one star, but i would suggest ignoring those reviews as it seems like a targeted attack on this business rather than a legitmate review on the product or service. Btw I have no affiliation with this business, just saw the reviews and thought it unfair

This place has amazing service and delicious food. Their ramen saved me from the cold multiple times �. Their vegetarian ramen is my favorite ramen ever. SO good!!!!!! The broth is something else! Love love love!
