Great burrito bowls. Location looks like it is still finishing opening but that doesn't effect the taste of the food, great and fresh ingredients. The lady working today was very pleasant as well.

I got a large chicken burrito, it was quite nice but a bit expensive. The staff was nice and I liked the burrito, but I could have made one myself at home for cheaper. Overall it was pretty good.

I've ordered online and from in the store on several occasions, and I've always been satisfied with the quality of the food. The store itself would benefit from improved lighting, toned-down aesthetics, and a visual barrier between the back counter-space and the front counter-space, but that's being really nitpicky for what is ultimately a good fast-food burrito place. I did have a really positive experience here the other day because the guy behind the counter had his sales routine down pat, and his manner and approach to offering the various ingredients was on point. I appreciated the courtesy.

LOVE Burrito Jax, easily one of my favourite places to grab a bite. Simple, relatively quick, inexpensive and delicious. What is there not to love? Also I find they generally employ some of the more pleasant staff I've ever dealt with in food service (minus a person here or there). So why only 4 stars? Simple, there is one thing about this place that always manages to to bug me, lack of consistency. There seems to be no general guideline for the employees to follow as per portion size. I have left there with burritos that are honestly half the size as other times I've gone there. I always love those giant burritos I end up with, but it always makes me all the more disappointed when I get a small one. Overall though, awesome place!

This place is amazing. Food is really reasonably priced. It is always so fresh and there is such a variety of options to include in your burrito/bowl. It's a refreshing change from typical fast food that leaves you feeling tired and huge. The staff at this location are so nice! I would have to disagree with other reviewers - this is not really Mexican food, so if that's what you're looking for this isn't really it. I'd hardly call it Tex-Mex either. It's delicious, but it's not Mexican food. We eat here many times a month and have never been disappointed. 10/10 would recommend.

Wonderful! I thought they had a cilantro lime sauce but they didn't. The employee making my burrito knowing I wanted cilantro went and got some and cut it up just for me on my buritto. Definitely made my day. Great service

Fresh, delicious and fast! They have amazing gluten free burrito bowls, all the meat is gluten free and the only sauce that isn't GF is the mole. I love it! We go about once a week. Good prices

Lots of yummy burrito options here. Food is always tasty, portions are a good size and there's something for vegetarians and carnivores. Took one star off because the price for a combo is a bit high for a lunch meal, you will end up paying $13/14 bucks per person with tip at least.

I literally just bought my food and left, and am typing this as I enjoy my pepper steak burrito. Staff is super friendly! First time trying Burrito Jax, mmm so good. Will def be back! I wish the sauces were spicier but the burrito is packed with so much flavour, I'm not even let down.

I think this is the original burrito spot in the city. Still tasty, still not fast. Worth it though, because that crispy outside layer on the bread from being directly on the grill makes it. You don't get that elsewhere, and it adds to the flavour and texture. Always recommended. No photo, cuz I ate it.

I have tried burritos for the first time here and it was good experience. They do provide some good options for vegetarians like me and taste wise it was amazing. You must try this mexican item here. Seating arrangements are not that good but ok.

I work in downtown and always tell people to go to burrito jax and always hear amazing reviews from it. Now that there is one open in my neck of the woods I love it!!! I've been here 3-4 times already since it opened. The staff are amazing, even got to meet the owner who is also amazing. If your looking for amazing food, amazing atmosphere and good price then you need to try burrito jax. I will be back for sure.

My first impression walking into this place, is "gross!" It's a dump. Second impression, "why are they squeezing sauces (like sour cream) from a plastic tube?!?" I don't like my burritos to be grilled, I prefer a soft chewy texture to my burrito, so I asked for that. I got mine 5 minutes before my partner who grilled theirs. It didn't taste like much. There are some ingredients missing: pinto beans, pico de gallo, and maybe grilled corn. Unfortunately, I can't stop comparing all burrito places to Qdoba which is by far the best place I've ever been for burritos! And really, this place is pretty expensive for such tiny tasteless burritos. Don't waste your money and time. Halifax is in desperate need of good Mexican food!!

Boring Jax.. As American expat living in Halifax, I have given Burrito Jax numerous tries and each time left disappointed. the refried beans are spread on thin with a spreading knife on a "dry" tortilla, small portions and I am always left hungry. One spoonfull of each item... come on. We need more GOOD tex-mex places in Halifax. I am getting kind of sick of greek and lebanese food.

Pass. Not a great place... no debit. If you've had Mucho Burrito out west or a good Burrito in the US don't bother. It doesn't measure up.

You will be disappointed.. Burritos are tiny and expensive. If you're visiting Halifax from, say the states, DON'T even bother with this place's attempt at burrito making. You'll be disappointed. Mexican food just doesn't exist in this city...
