I ordered the Wake Up Burger with Hollandaise and I was very impressed - it was an Eggs Benedict burger on a French toast bun. Trevor was an incredible server, always smiling and helpful. I highly recommend this place - especially to breakfast enthusiasts.
If anyone is wanting one of the best meals around eat at kempsters breakfast lunch supper 5 star meal 🥘 you wont be disappointed
I stoped in for a late lunch and had the daily special which was a cup / brown of chilli and a chicken wrap. I found the chili a little thin. But it had a good flavour and the chicken Wrap was to die for. It was huge compared to any wraps I have had elsewhere and Very good. You need to be a hungry boy to finish it all and the price was only $11
Love the open feel of this restaurant. The waitress was great and the food was even better. Came here for the burger week burger, and it seems I've found one of my new favorite places to eat in halifax.
I have never been disappointed eating at kempsters . The food is awesome. If your looking for a taste for home cooked meals, this is the place to go. Staff is always ready to please.
the food was great and a lot of it . however our waitress was not very friendly and was very fake. we will be going back again.
Saturdays Steak Deal is an excellent deal and a fantastic meal. Staff and the "New" decor and to the enjoyment of dining.

My first time in at this restaurant tonight, with a few of my friends. I fhoughed that it was kinda small, maybe through it was a different layout. I enjoyed this.

Hadn’t been here in 20 years decided to get nostalgic. My first breakfasts in the city were here. Service was amazing, waitress was on point, locked and loaded. The food came out hot and fresh. Was tastey. Recommend giving the place a try if you are in the area. Will return.
We hadn't been to Kempsters in years. It's just not close to where we live. We went there for breakfast for the first time, and it was amazing. Got pancakes on the side, and they were the best restaurant pancakes I've ever had. There are too many places that their pancakes are either too dense or tasteless. These were nice and light and buttery. We'll definitely plan on coming back for breakfast again.
Went on a Saturday morning around 8:30am with our two year old. We were seated right away and coffees brought over. Husband had the big breakfast with multigrain toast and I had the BBQ brisket eggs benedict. Everything was delicious, coffee was kept topped up. Our toddler had the side order of pancakes and some of our food. Loved the hashbrowns and the two pancakes were large and filling. A great breakfast!
Everything was absolutely delicious!! The stew was homemade and sooooooo good! The prices were reasonable, and there are so many things I want to try on the menu! Will definitely be back!

It was really good ! It had deep fried pickles , onion rings & mozzasticks on it , with some lettuce and tomato & a mayo sauce .
I had a sticky toffee pudding for dessert . Delish :)

Went here for dinner around 5pm, it was pretty dead. Our server was great, food was to die for. Especially the maple curry pasta. Everything came quickly and fresh.
Visiting Halifax from British Columbia. Came here for lunch. Staff was very pleasant. Food was great, good portions. Had a home cooked feeling. Would recommend.
Absolutely amazing food I have to eat here again the menu had many options I couldn't even decide there where so many choices. The flavors where amazing. Good portions. Friendly staff and most amazing thing of all.. cloth napkins. You just dont see them anymore I was pleasantly surprised. 10/10 would defantely eat here again.
Overall a great place for a casual sit down meal.
Serves a good variety of western foods,. We ordered a seafood chowder, pulled chicken sandwich and Haddock bites.
Overall everything tasted good, the chowder had a good proportion of seafood in it and it was a pretty thick chowder served with a great biscuit.
The pulled chicken had crispy onion on top of the chicken which greatly enhanced the texture, and the chicken itself was soft and flavourful.
The Haddock bites were breaded and deep fried peices of haddock, the breading is well done and crispy the Haddock taste is a kind of muted from the breading but it's still pretty good. On a side note about the sides they offer a pretty good variety of sides to order we had a side of rice.
The tables are well spaced and well kept. The decor is as expected for a family restaurant.
Service is quick and courteous.
Parking is sufficient but the way the spots are layed out is a bit annoying.
Overall I recommended this place!
Food is always good. It's a great little diner style restaurant. My only complaint was that we asked for water with our food and never got it. But we did get lots of refill offers on coffee ☕ 😀

Nice family restaurant. Food is good as was service. But the food took along time to recieve. If your on a lunch break this is not the place for you.
Always a staple in our family. We have been going there for 8 years straight, and their breakfast, service, and atmosphere are always A+. Highly recommend!
I had fish with Ceasar salad and hubby had hot hamburger sandwich with fries and toffee pudding cake and coconut cream pie for dessert. It was absolutely delicious! First time there but won't be our last. Our waitress Elizabeth was so nice and friendly. Great experience all around. Keep up the great work!
Was my first time here, and I got traditional clubhouse sandwich. I love their fries and the chicken so much! The fries was super crunchy and chicken was pretty tender 😋there was so many ppl there when I went there, so it was a little bit slow to get my food, but the server was so so so friendly and checked our table very often. Love the atmosphere of restaurant and definitely will go back again and try the other brunch!
